But

the

wording

wasn't

pet

So

what,

I

bet

that

if

you

held

me

over water,

I

would

start

swimming

too
But

only

to

be

held

a

little

longer,

while

I

have

you

And

the

thing

is

that

it's

cute
I'm

not

the

one

who

cringes
And

unironically,

I

think
It's

important!
And

the

thing

is,

that

I

try
Learning

how

to

ask
how

to

unmask

If

it's

only

puppy

love
Why

don't

you

give

it

hungry,

animal

middle

listen

surrounded

the

dog

allowed

participate

socially

in

this

Riding

in

the

bicycle

basket

of

life,

oh

my

Walking

in

the

city

is

a

mixed

bag,

and

who

really

wants

to

get

to

the

bottom

of

someone,
just

to

find

that

there

is

no

bottom

and

the

person

is

incomplete?
What

a

project

to

be,

it

couldn't

be

me

A

cat

is

allowed

to

lie

down

all

day
And

that's

exactly

what

it's

supposed

to

be

doing,

and

I

appreciate

it

so

Just

radiating

A dog is

an

animal

but

tamed

but

still

an

animal
A

dog

is

allowed

to

want

things

I

if

I

was

a

dog,

I

wouldn't

have

to

worry,

and

I'd

simply

go

to

brunch
And

I

would

greet

the

strangers,
and

they'd

understand

when

I

spoke

dog
And

when

I

walked

away

they

wouldn't

read

into

my

actions,
cause

they'd

know

they

never

had

me

Humans

try

to

own

each

other
You

understood

me

better

on

that

day

One

time,

you

it's

no

wonder

you

didn't

feel

like

a
human

when

people

didn't

treat

you

like

one

I

feel

lucky

and

so

I

am

lucky,

but

if

you

held

me

over

water,

I

would

start

swimming,
you

would

too

The

timing's

right

because

I

tried,

I

met

one

at

the

fair
I

like to

twist

the

plastic

bag,

and

tie

the

rope

secure

but

lightly
The

knots

behind

my

I

only

knew

them

quietly

Well

it

It's

like

I'm

felt
