I know the power of this word, I love to hear the impact these conversations have. Okay, let's get into

make the statement at the start because sort of the whole family here it's January school holidays. So there's three of them out there, talking loud. So if you get some background stuff, just ignore whatever. But today, I wanted to talk about how you'd like define the cause. And talk about the different injuries and illness and how there's a cause how you define the cause and how you actually take action on it. That's a bit of a rabbit hole. Like I mentioned last episode, dive diving into all the different ways you can look at your body and as I also mentioned is something that I've actually invested a fair bit of time and energy into because of the chronic injury and illness that I had I one point I can remember thinking man, I actually hope that I've got something serious going on because then I'll be able to explain to people what's been going on like, why the fuck am I feeling tired all the time, why me reacting this way. Just so there'd be some sort of level of understanding. And I did my back where basically, I'd been putting up with it for literally years, and then eventually lifting one of my kids when they were young, I end up on the floor can't move. If me being on before about the different sporting injuries that stopped me playing and running, and all those different things. And it's one of the reasons why I'm so passionate about it. Because I quit on a lot of different things, I decided I wasn't going to I couldn't lift weights, I couldn't run, I couldn't spend time with children know what I wanted to do. And I couldn't be as active as I wanted to be. And you don't doesn't have to be that way. I'd had orthotics for my feet. So there's a dependency now on finding shoes that fit around orthotics, I've got all sorts of different things I needed to take strap my ankles before I play sport or more money more more time more. And then the more that I learned what my body was actually telling me and what was stuck in there and then change it. I don't use any of that stuff anymore. I found the right shoes. For me, I don't have the orthotics anymore, I'm able to run long distances, I've gone back to playing sport, I've been the one that comes to mind. There's also like my golf swing, like my back was so tight, couldn't get a proper rotation. So I couldn't hit a ball well now not saying on any expert, but my golf has certainly improved massively. Because I now have that ability to rotate my full torso, I had so many different complications and compromises in my back from from the tightness and from all those different things that I was holding on to my shoulders, all of the different struggles I have my shoulders again and again. So I've dug deep on this stuff. And then there's the other other things that have shown up in in my body and I had a my heart was playing all sorts of crazy tricks and started to freak me out a bit. And then to the point where I went to the doctor and got on one of those monitors for 24 hours. And even though I still felt the craziness and the palpitations, it was almost like my heart was skipping a beat, the actual test came back completely fine. There was nothing there. And again, it gets you thinking what is actually playing out. So this is something that I've, like I said, I've spent a bit of a fair bit of time and energy and I want to draw your attention to something that would have spoken to you about before and that's the Grief Code framework that I've created the the ebook that will actually point you towards specific areas that might be playing out for you. And importantly, not just how that might be showing up for you physically, but the certain behavior pattern that then plays out as a result. So you can See how it all sort of spirals you, the physical thing shows up, then you start having this pattern of behavior that's actually to your detriment. And it gets confusing. And you're like, why am I why do I keep repeating the same patterns? And then the Framework also talks to you about, okay, well, if if this is going on like, and here's the behavior pattern, well, then then why don't we do need solutions, right? So if this is at a point where you're up to and you're like, Okay, I've actually done a bit of research now I've seen like, it's it's just a smorgasbord of options and information, and it can be quite overwhelming. And often, they, again, focus on the physical, not necessarily giving you the steps to take. So how do we then once we've identified what's going on what the moment was, well, start with the framework. It's come from my own experience around all these different injuries and illness. From my experience, helping people with the same. More recently, I've been helping a number of people with post concussion symptoms. And helping them to return to a quality of life that they didn't think was possible because of this diagnosis, they'd been given around the head injuries. Now, it is possible to heal so much more than what you're led to believe. That keeps you in a system that's dependent you become dependent on the system. The whole medical industry depends on people being sick and injured. Because think about it, if everyone's Well, what happens to the system, right? So I'm not saying I'm not saying that everything out there is bad, but I am saying that there is an element of that dependency that that is very much played to in the marketplace. I remember when I had some challenges with something on my skin, where my GP sent me to a skin specialist who had a look, and they would have cost me about 300, and then sends me on to this, this next level specialist. So I go into into the city, he goes to the specialist. Now the best part was he actually almost felt well, he sounded like and look like he felt guilty that I was even there. Because he was like, oh, no, no, no, you don't, you don't need to do anything with this is to just be an aesthetic thing. But no, you need to be at this third level of Doctor. Because of this, just the the Okay, when you use this word, because it's just how it seems from my end, I'm sure it's not, it's more of a system they've been taught, it's almost laziness. I don't know how to deal with this, I was referred and next guy, the next guy. Now, I'm certainly not, I don't know if any of those get any kickbacks or commission or anything for the referrals. I'm not saying that. I could only imagine now in business that there is an element of that. But what I do know is that you get passed on from one specialist to the next to the next. And the next one doesn't necessarily have the answers. We end up on something other strategy, which again, keeps you dependent instead of allowing you to heal. And I'm not going to tell you what you should do or how you should do it. But I just My goal was to bring awareness to the fact that there is another way there is an alternative, you'd have to be stuck in the system. And as I've said before, so much of this, for me is inspired by the fact that the system let my dad down. Because if it had been able to help him, he'd still be here, but he's not. And what I know now about what he was experiencing, and how that could have been different, or I don't want anyone else to have to go through that. And it gets me emotional thinking about it. Because it doesn't have to be that way. That starts with you, that starts with you addressing whatever's going on for you. Because it can get stuck in trying to save the world rather than save other people. So don't do that, until you've got your own shit together. So you've got a path until you started healing. There's no point trying to then suddenly learn something and trying to tell the rest of the world what to do when you were stuck dealing with your own sheets. Now, I'm not saying I'm immune from dealing with stuff I'm saying that in this particular area of I've done a heap of work and I know the answers in from experience and from learning. But I'll continue to learn more in that area as well. And I am and there are different physical things I've got going on for me at the moment that I'm exploring as well. And now I treat them as a gift because at some point I'll be paying that forward to someone else. Once I work through whatever's going on. It's no longer Oh no, this has happened to me physically. It's all that's interesting. I wonder what is going on there. treat the cause. Shift the grief, change the behavior pattern, more freedom, more security itself. More of all the good stuff. off, then why would we want to take that path?
