Shownotes

Kabul-i-Wallahs were men from Afghanistan who would come to Indian cities, selling dry fruits. Kolkata had a large number of them(Read this BBC Story to know more).

In this moving story of father-daughter relations written way back in 1892 by Nobel laureate Rabindra Nath Tagore, we can see the protagonist discusiing the British Frontier policy, Abdurahman etc. with the visiting Pushthun guest.

This story is very popular in India and has been adapted into movies many times over. Also translated into so many languages.

It is hard to complete narrating the story without choking up. Apologies.
