Shownotes
Joining us on this week's episode is American author, speaker and anti-ageism activist Ashton Applewhite.
Ashton began investigating ageism in her mid 50s and what she discovered led her to write her book, This Chair Rocks: A Manifesto Against Ageism, as well as creating a number of other resources to combat ageism, which you’ll hear about in the episode.
We really enjoyed this interview, Ashton brings a lot of energy and attitude, and we learnt a lot about how despite our best efforts, we're still carrying a lot of bias in our opinions of older adults, which you’ll hear in the discussion.
As a quick warning, this episode has our first ever language warning - there’s some colourful language in this episode.
As always if you enjoy the show, we’d love it if you subscribed and maybe even left a review!
