Kevin Carter is the founder & CIO of EMQQ, an emerging markets internet & ecommerce index. Kevin’s a diehard value investor but is also a believer in indexing having partnered with Princeton Economist Dr. Burton Malkiel for over two decades focusing on China/Emerging Markets.
The three big megatrends of consumption, smartphones and the internet, make emerging markets an intriguing idea – we perhaps can’t see it so clearly living in a developed economy, but as the general standard of living continues to improve globally, there’s a massive opportunity. There’s of course massive risks too. For one, just because an economy’s got a lot going for it, doesn’t make their markets a sure fire bet.
Please note I am a small investor in this fund.
