The World Football Programme 107.9FM for Saturday May 2, 2020

We are in football hibernation and discovering how much we value our sport. Social engagement, and the physical and mental release being the things our society wants us to enjoy to be healthy and keep community costs down. The flip side is, we find other ways to engage and fulfil those needs and our sporting infrastructure is suffering. Will you return to football or have you filled the space with other things that will continue after the hibernation is extinguished?

Penny and Pete discuss this and more with our special guests this Saturday morning:

Jamie Harnwell, Acting Chief Operations Officer, Football West. An update on the return to football, Dream Team Project, E-Sports.

Brett Klucznik, WA Historian. WA Dream Teams. Discussing some of the best male and female players WA has produced since our inaugural football competitions.

Frank Cutts, Rothmans Award Winner. Football History and shared memories from the WA game in the 70’s.

Local girls, The Greaney Twins, on life without football and what is motivating them to get to the other side.

Simon Hill, Fox Sports. What are the signs football will recommence on a National level and when might that be, The New Starting XI and the elevated status we are giving to our history?

The Studio Team for 2020 is Penny TannerHoath, Sean Kelly, Peter Szkiela, Don Evans, Louis Prospero, Derek Pollock and Miranda Templeman, talking everything football from 10am to noon, WA time, on Radio Fremantle 107.9 FM, every Saturday through to November.
