While it's always great to get a new review for your podcast, sometimes the notification turns to dread when you realize it's a bad one, with one single star sitting next to it. After all, you put a lot of hard work into your podcast, so it hurts when you see a negative response.

But you don't need to let it get you down - here's how to handle negative reviews for your podcast.

And now, this week's episode.

Speaker:

While it's always great to get a new review

Speaker:

for your podcast,

Speaker:

sometimes the notification turns to dread

Speaker:

when you realize it's a bad one,

Speaker:

with one single star sitting next to it.

Speaker:

After all, you put a lot of hard work into your podcast,

Speaker:

so it hurts when you see a negative response.

Speaker:

But you don't need to let it get you down.

Speaker:

Instead, ask yourself the following questions.

Speaker:

Does the review make valid points,

Speaker:

maybe about sound, delivery, et cetera?

Speaker:

Or does the review come across as just some anonymous troll

Speaker:

and it's your day to be picked on?

Speaker:

If it's the former,

Speaker:

see where you can make adjustments to the points raised.

Speaker:

And even give a shout out on your podcast

Speaker:

to thank the reviewer for helping improve the show.

Speaker:

If it's the latter and just a troll, smile, ignore, and move on,

Speaker:

creating more of the stuff that you love.

Speaker:

Until the next time, happy podcasting.
