Are you tired of feeling like you're not reaching your full potential? Do you find yourself repeating behaviours or making decisions you know aren’t best for you?
If we want to become the most effective, efficient and happiest versions of ourselves, we need to ensure we’re creating a strong foundation of preparedness for our lives. This often means stepping outside our comfort zone, which I know can be scary. However, I’ve personally learnt to live by the saying: if nothing changes, nothing changes.
Today, I’m talking about being your own CEO and finding the right people to support you on your journey towards your best, most balanced life.
Whether it's finding the right doctor, coach, or support group, I’m sharing some practical steps to build a team that brings out the best in you:
While you're in CEO mode, work out what you need to achieve in the coming week. Embody the best assistant you can be to yourself and action that list, knowing you’ll need to play multiple roles in your team from time to time.
I cannot wait to hear how you go. If you're not sure where to start, I offer free mentoring sessions where we can work together to get you started on your journey.

you need to make yourself your own CEO so today we're going to discuss how you can source yourself the best team for you. The key areas we're going to focus on a health, personal development, and personal connection. Think of yourself like a business to be the most effective, efficient, and happy version of you. Who do you need with you to achieve this?
I learned the hard way that you need more than just yourself on your team. Humans are community based creatures
A great team around us brings out the very best of us. And in that state, we can give the very best of ourselves back to everyone. Let's look at health. Feeling strong and capable is such a privilege that we tend to overlook until we may not have our health. Maintaining good health, I have learnt, should be everyone's number one priority and not a secondary activity that is fitting to your day if you can.
too hard. And in my state of [:Will I be sad if I'm seeing my children acting this way? Because that's what I have taught them. Change took time and it's still underway, but it took having the right team around me to really shift my mindset. For me, it took finding the right doctor. And I have said this a few times on this podcast and some podcasts I've had the pleasure of being a guest on, shop around until you find the right doctor
you are not assigned a doctor at birth. And just because your family or friends go to a particular doctors doesn't mean you need to. Just because it's your closest doctor. Doesn't mean it's the right doctor for you. Keep visiting different ones until you find what you need. A listener, someone fast, someone slow, someone who specializes in your particular needs.
about it. If you're getting [:I'm great at my daily walks, but I've decided that I need a personal trainer to help me on the strength side of things. It's just a weakness I have. I don't know what to do, but because my health has become my number one priority. I have had to let things that I would normally spend money on go, and I'm going to redirect it to training sessions twice a I also know that my diet plays a key role in my physical and mental health. So if you need to add a nutritionalist, dietitian, or a functional doctor to your team, do so. Research what's available to you. There is so much online and so many available via Tally Health or Zoom consultation. It's so super convenient, no matter where you live.
You can also train yourself if learning and implementation is one of your strengths. Never, ever forget mental health it's such a key attribute of your overall health, and it can't be overlooked. Again, reflect on your needs and bring on board a support group or a psychologist if that's going to support you being the very best version of you.
Your personal [:Some by accident or convenience, like your supervisor at work, but to take it to the next level, you need to seek out mentors or coaches to join your team. Right now, I have three separate coaches in my world, all the different focus and outcome, and they are all fantastic members of my team.
I'm also part of Christina Carlson's dream life group coaching. This is a wonderful group of people that meet on Mondays at 7 PM Eastern standard time to focus on personal development. Each month, Christina focuses on a different personal development topic, and there are people attending from all over the world, and some dedicated people who join at 4 a.
development could be a great [:It was one of my coaches who said to me in late 2023. What would you change to make 2024 one of your best years with my focus on health. I said, no alcohol. And they said, well, if you do that, I'll do it with you. So that grew into an alcohol and refined sugar free 2024, which has been invaluable for me, but continues to prove to me the immense value of having this wonderful person on my team.
ner who is doing Alcohol Free:It was really hard to see at the time. But I am super proud of where I am in life right now.
Getting started before you make some big changes in your life. It's super important to go, who do I need on my team to get me through this? You never, ever need to be alone. Your team needs to be right for you and it needs to be right for you right now. It absolutely can change as you do. Some people may only need to be there for a short time, a few weeks.
Some people may need to be there for longer, but it's important to recognize the support you need and seek it. Also being on other people's teams in whatever capacity you can offer is just as valuable for your growth too.
his extends to my colleagues [:Also think of community based teams you can be a part of. If you have a few hours, then volunteering on weekends to meet with people at a care home that don't have family visiting can be a great way to start, or a local sporting club or volunteer group. Giving back, even if it's really small, grows the base of your own team.
You are your own CEO, the manager and director of you, and the only person who is responsible for your journey. take five minutes now and make yourself your own CEO, do a quick mind map or list of areas in your life and note who you need on your team to propel you to being the best, most authentic version of you. This doesn't have to be names at the moment. Just identify the key areas where additional support could have the potential to get you towards your a hundred percent. And don't stop there. While you're in your CEO mode, work out what you need to achieve in the coming week. Make a list of things for your assistant to do.
