Speaker:

Hi there.

Speaker:

Today's topic is so timely, isn't it?

Speaker:

With everything that's going on in the world.

Speaker:

I actually just got back from a vacation, to create some spaciousness

Speaker:

because there was so much going on in my life, so much going on around me.

Speaker:

And also, the pullings on my family and all sorts of stuff.

Speaker:

I love being an expert in the practical applied laws of physics and In the

Speaker:

practicalities of neuroplasticity, such that I can assist people to

Speaker:

transcend that feeling of overwhelm.

Speaker:

And I thought today we could gain some insights about change and

Speaker:

overwhelm and some practical tools.

Speaker:

Also, though, maybe something you've never thought of before, but

Speaker:

being able to shift ourselves and.

Speaker:

the way that we actually perceive life and plug into life and make some permanent

Speaker:

lasting changes and how that works instead of just needing to rely on tools all the

Speaker:

time that sometimes you forget or in the middle of the stressful event or all the

Speaker:

stuff that's going on, you just can't remember the tool or you don't want to

Speaker:

use it or you get resistance or you're too, in fight or flight to even remember.

Speaker:

So those permanent cellular shifts, we're going to open some doorways

Speaker:

to that because for me, those are much more efficient because then you

Speaker:

don't even need the tools anymore.

Speaker:

You literally become a person that's plugs into overwhelm and change a

Speaker:

different way and you find freedom.

Speaker:

That's really what this live is all about is finding some freedom.

Speaker:

Do you ever feel like you're constantly juggling too many responsibilities

Speaker:

and no matter how hard you try, you can't seem to get ahead, right?

Speaker:

And that is an issue, not of enough tools.

Speaker:

Okay, so there's 2 ways to look at overwhelm and dealing with a lot of change

Speaker:

and dealing with lots on your plate.

Speaker:

1 is to have tools to deal with things in the immediate and the other is

Speaker:

again, as I mentioned earlier, to be able to plug into life differently.

Speaker:

If you're constantly feeling that way, that means there's a way

Speaker:

that you're plugging into life that isn't working right now.

Speaker:

Also, as you change and as you take on more, you're going to get new glass

Speaker:

ceilings that need to become your floors,

Speaker:

We'll also talk about some tools.

Speaker:

Do you find that often you are a little bit unmotivated and

Speaker:

you don't know where to start?

Speaker:

It's hard to make decisions, so you don't move forward easily.

Speaker:

Finally, are you yearning for a sense of peace, the clarity that comes,

Speaker:

from feeling really grounded, So if you answered yes to any of those,

Speaker:

you're definitely in the right place.

Speaker:

as I said earlier, my name is Jennifer Huff.

Speaker:

I'm the founder of the Wide Awakening.

Speaker:

And in this episode, we're exploring how to achieve peace.

Speaker:

Freedom from overwhelm just so you know, the white awakening has a mission

Speaker:

to assist, support and empower leaders and visionaries in your home, in your

Speaker:

business, and in your love life to make quantum leaps in their ability to

Speaker:

thrive and flourish using the laws of physics, epigenetics and neuroplasticity.

Speaker:

We're going to speak about what causes overwhelm, how to change your relationship

Speaker:

to change and, solutions that you might never have thought of before

Speaker:

what are the root causes of overwhelm?

Speaker:

It's good to know the root causes so that we can actually

Speaker:

address how the heck you change.

Speaker:

Right?

Speaker:

so first.

Speaker:

you could probably figure out some of the root causes of overwhelm.

Speaker:

you've taken on more than you perceive your abilities can handle.

Speaker:

Now, I said that you can perceive your abilities can handle.

Speaker:

I hope you took note of that because, a lot of people just feel like

Speaker:

it's an is that they have more on their plate that they could handle.

Speaker:

But we're going to cause you to question that.

Speaker:

I hope the second is that you have committed to unreasonable buy wins.

Speaker:

The third is that you surround your surrounding environment, like the

Speaker:

world, never mind your country or your community, but it could be your family.

Speaker:

It could be your business.

Speaker:

Your surrounding environment is changing quickly, so it's everything from wars

Speaker:

that are happening globally, because you do get affected by the billions

Speaker:

of people on this planet, whether they are in a war or not, there's a sense of

Speaker:

destabilization and it does affect you.

Speaker:

And then that seeps into schools and families and businesses, et cetera.

Speaker:

The fourth is that you have, taken on the role of perfectionist.

Speaker:

I myself as a recovering perfectionist, or recovered perfectionist, I would

Speaker:

say, am over that one because the purpose of life is not to get it right,

Speaker:

but we'll get into that in a second.

Speaker:

I'm just going to be blunt with this one because again, I'm speaking

Speaker:

a little bit about my past self.

Speaker:

You're terrible.

Speaker:

And I'm going to say, instead of using the word terrible, let's use a more

Speaker:

enlightened word like suboptimal.

Speaker:

You're suboptimal at delegating either to others or to your greater

Speaker:

consciousness, to your greater awareness.

Speaker:

you're maybe not great at remembering that you have creativity,

Speaker:

imagination, and a connection to, the greater field of consciousness.

Speaker:

Next is that you are in fight or flight, like you just can't seem to

Speaker:

get out of fight or flight, and you can't seem to access creativity as a

Speaker:

result, because then you get nonlinear ideas to transcend the overwhelm.

Speaker:

The thriving operating system is about making an entire paradigm shift from

Speaker:

the way that you currently operate to an entirely different operating

Speaker:

system, whereby you can plug into life and nothing takes you out.

Speaker:

You actually feel like you constantly have spaciousness and nothing

Speaker:

pulls on you like an emergency.

Speaker:

If that sounds like a good idea, I will give you a step later,

Speaker:

that will assist you to understand that thriving operating system.

Speaker:

So let's see what we can do about shifting your perception

Speaker:

or give you some tools as well.

Speaker:

Remember there are two distinct schools of thought on dealing with

Speaker:

times of great change and overwhelm.

Speaker:

One is around giving tools, giving you tools to be able to deal with

Speaker:

that there is lots going on, but that does not actually, some of

Speaker:

those tools actually do change your perception in the moment of what's

Speaker:

going on, or do, calm you down a bit.

Speaker:

And you'll see, I'm going to give you some of those in a second, but

Speaker:

again, I personally, and our work at the wide awakening is more about

Speaker:

changing the entire way you plug into life, such that you experience.

Speaker:

a permanent sense of relief for the rest of your life because the way you

Speaker:

look at life is entirely different.

Speaker:

and usually that comes from a deep understanding of the laws of physics.

Speaker:

First of all, let's address this whole thing around the environment and the

Speaker:

world and everything that's happened.

Speaker:

I'm going to give you a question that is a question that saved my life.

Speaker:

It's just the best question.

Speaker:

And the question is when everything is changing in the world and everything is so

Speaker:

busy and there's people around you pulling on you and wanting things from you and

Speaker:

you've committed to all sorts of projects.

Speaker:

When you feel those pullings or when you feel that, sense of anxiety.

Speaker:

One of my favorite things to ask is this even mine?

Speaker:

Is this mine to worry about?

Speaker:

Maybe you don't even know what you're worried about.

Speaker:

You're just feeling anxious in the world in general.

Speaker:

Is that yours?

Speaker:

Because if it's not yours, it's also not yours to worry about.

Speaker:

So I put stickies all over my house asking me, is this mine?

Speaker:

Is it mine to worry about?

Speaker:

Is it mine to do something about?

Speaker:

And if it's not mine, it literally gets to leave instantly.

Speaker:

So that's where I would begin with a tool to actually, take some of that pressure

Speaker:

out of your life, a question that I have found tremendously helpful in my life.

Speaker:

So the second thing.

Speaker:

That I have found tremendously helpful.

Speaker:

Again, it's an in the moment tool, but it's been incredibly effective for me.

Speaker:

And that is a zero point reset.

Speaker:

And you might think a zero point reset.

Speaker:

What the heck is that?

Speaker:

What it means is when you haven't taken off spaciousness in your day, and when

Speaker:

I got home from my recent vacation, I had taken a lot of spaciousness

Speaker:

and I noticed that there were so many things waiting for me and I noticed

Speaker:

that I really was prone to diving right back in the way that I had been.

Speaker:

Dived in dove in what is the word?

Speaker:

I don't care.

Speaker:

It doesn't matter that I have that I had approached things before.

Speaker:

And so I caught myself and did this 0 point reset several times before I.

Speaker:

Use some of the tools we use to get into a whole new flow, because I

Speaker:

realized since my vacation, there's, I have an intolerance to overwhelm.

Speaker:

I'm not interested in feeling overwhelmed at all.

Speaker:

So a zero point looks like this.

Speaker:

The first thing I do is I take my.

Speaker:

Awareness, my consciousness, maybe we might call it your personality and I take

Speaker:

it and instead of being out there with, oh my God, this needs tidying and oh my gosh,

Speaker:

that needs moving and oh my gosh, I got to phone these people and just yackety yak.

Speaker:

So my consciousness, my awareness is out in the world and what I

Speaker:

do is I take my awareness back.

Speaker:

behind my eyes.

Speaker:

So I take my awareness back behind my eyes.

Speaker:

Now my awareness is in my body.

Speaker:

It's not of the entire world.

Speaker:

So that's the first step of a zero point reset.

Speaker:

The second thing I do is I close my eyes and I imagine that all of these things

Speaker:

that are pulling on me, I imagine like I'm the middle of, of this spinning

Speaker:

world and that, It's almost like I'm in the eye of a storm and that storm

Speaker:

creates centrifugal force that actually brings all of the stuff that's been

Speaker:

pulling on me outside of me miles away.

Speaker:

All of a sudden, my consciousness is behind my eyes.

Speaker:

Not out in the world.

Speaker:

And now I've created an imaginary centrifugal force that's actually

Speaker:

moved all of the things that are pulling on me or that I've allowed

Speaker:

to pull on me outside of me.

Speaker:

And from here, I spend at least 3 minutes just.

Speaker:

presencing myself to this moment.

Speaker:

Sometimes I'll put on some music or some binaural beats and I'll just sit

Speaker:

with it for a moment and I'll find with that within three minutes, I'll get

Speaker:

some ideas as to what actually needs my attention versus me carrying the load.

Speaker:

By the way, one of the long lasting thriving operating system ideas

Speaker:

is a permanent shift In our, in my, in your, propensity to carry,

Speaker:

in other words, your propensity to worry about and react to life.

Speaker:

And so we're not going to go through that today.

Speaker:

That really is something that requires more work than just doing a live and

Speaker:

honestly, it's part of what we teach.

Speaker:

So Next is if you want to transcend overwhelm and you want to find peace

Speaker:

in these times of change and find freedom from that overwhelmed, that you

Speaker:

actually ask the following, but first, before you ask the following, you're

Speaker:

going to have to make a list of all the projects you have and break down.

Speaker:

So this takes about.

Speaker:

10 minutes to do.

Speaker:

You break down the tasks that are associated with the projects you have.

Speaker:

By the way, again, this is life changing.

Speaker:

For me, this changed my life.

Speaker:

So you made a list of everything you do and everything that you do in a day.

Speaker:

You make a list of all the projects and the main aspects of those

Speaker:

projects that you're responsible for.

Speaker:

And what I do is I basically do the A to E exercise on it.

Speaker:

the A2E exercise is basically an exercise where I apply A, B, or C to

Speaker:

the items that are in front of me.

Speaker:

And A things are things that energize me, that I love doing,

Speaker:

and that I'm really good at.

Speaker:

Those are the three, characteristics of an A thing.

Speaker:

Love doing them.

Speaker:

Give me energy, I'm really good at it.

Speaker:

So if something gets an A, that's something I should do.

Speaker:

And by the way, that aligns me with the laws of physics, because when I

Speaker:

do things that I don't like, or I'm not good at, or they take away my

Speaker:

energy, that is the first clue that it doesn't align with my trajectory

Speaker:

forward in my most expansive life.

Speaker:

So you can imagine, I'm not going to, again there's more detail to this, but

Speaker:

imagine that you mostly want to be in your A things and if you're not in your

Speaker:

A things, then you want to start asking questions like, can someone else do this?

Speaker:

Does this really have to be done on the timing that I've created?

Speaker:

So if it's not an A thing, can someone else do this?

Speaker:

Does it really need to be done at all?

Speaker:

Can it be done on different timing?

Speaker:

The next one is, is it possible that I can get some help?

Speaker:

And last but not least, if it's not an A thing, or at least a B plus,

Speaker:

then you start to, look at how it might be.

Speaker:

Are there tools that would make it more efficient?

Speaker:

So on the subject of unreasonable by whens, my favorite thing to do is to

Speaker:

call someone and ask them if you can change the by when, So instead of just

Speaker:

assuming that the by when is the by when, can you literally change it?

Speaker:

So if you're not so good at delegating, then this is one of those things that it's

Speaker:

going to be about creating a new habit.

Speaker:

There's nothing we can do about it except you having the courage

Speaker:

to actually start to ask.

Speaker:

One of the things that's helped me is to have an accountability buddy that

Speaker:

I go over all the things that are on my docket and that accountability

Speaker:

buddy actually questions me.

Speaker:

Finally, if you're in fight or flight and you can't access the

Speaker:

creativity you need, then that zero point reset that I described is

Speaker:

literally, what there is to do first.

Speaker:

If you cannot do it for the life of you because you're way too stressed

Speaker:

out, one of the things that I would say is crucial is you need

Speaker:

to learn how to take a reset nap.

Speaker:

That sounds crazy, but it actually unplugs your brain from all the issues.

Speaker:

And when you unplug your brain from the issues, oh, my

Speaker:

gosh, it creates spaciousness.

Speaker:

And when you come back to your work, you will have the mental space to be

Speaker:

able to connect with your creativity.

Speaker:

The other thing that I might add that is that in the long run, I.

Speaker:

Always have five minutes before every task that I do in a day.

Speaker:

I literally plan it into my schedule.

Speaker:

So after this, I'll go out into my garden for five minutes.

Speaker:

sometimes I'll go and play with the dog.

Speaker:

Sometimes if you don't work from home, if you work in a corporate office, then it's

Speaker:

getting up going to get a coffee or It's actually doing the zero points, for a bit.

Speaker:

But if you don't clear the decks of your last task, what happens is the

Speaker:

energy of what's pulling on you from the last thing you did starts to

Speaker:

overcomplicate your brain and doesn't bring your best to the next thing.

Speaker:

You actually need to clear the decks of the last thing that you did in order to

Speaker:

be fully available to the next thing.

Speaker:

With respect to practical steps, that zero point and the A to E exercise,

Speaker:

you might ask I get A, B, C.

Speaker:

C is maybe something that doesn't give you energy.

Speaker:

you're not that great at it and, you actually don't really like it.

Speaker:

A D thing is something you really don't like.

Speaker:

You have major resistance.

Speaker:

And it takes away your energy and the E thing is like something

Speaker:

that you have no business doing.

Speaker:

I have no business building a rocket ship, or I have no business

Speaker:

writing a legal contract, right?

Speaker:

Not a lawyer.

Speaker:

most people don't do E things, but a lot of people still do D things.

Speaker:

That exercise, invaluable.

Speaker:

really powerful.

Speaker:

So I'm wondering if, oh, I see you have a question, Holly.

Speaker:

What if you're really good at the D thing?

Speaker:

If you're really good at the D thing, but it doesn't give you energy, the fact

Speaker:

that it doesn't give you energy means that it's out of alignment with physics.

Speaker:

It really does mean that you're out of alignment with the laws of physics,

Speaker:

because if you were doing something that was on path for the reason that

Speaker:

you're alive, it would be exciting.

Speaker:

It would thrill you.

Speaker:

So I would start asking those other questions that I mentioned early, does

Speaker:

this actually have to be done or is that just my ego trying to prove myself?

Speaker:

Am I trying to justify my existence?

Speaker:

Does it have to be done at all?

Speaker:

Does it have to be done in the timing that I think?

Speaker:

Just because it's in front of me, does it have to be done?

Speaker:

Am I just emotionally reacting to something?

Speaker:

Next is, can I actually delegate this to someone else?

Speaker:

Who it actually, is there a thing you they might be pretty good at

Speaker:

it and it gives them energy, right?

Speaker:

Is there even another way to do it?

Speaker:

there are so many reasons physically, that we could be in overwhelm.

Speaker:

One is adrenal exhaustion from being a perfectionist or for doing what we're

Speaker:

talking about today for too long.

Speaker:

Another is Hashimoto's or thyroid problems.

Speaker:

Most Thyroid problems or Hashimoto's.

Speaker:

Most people never get checked.

Speaker:

Then you're tired all the time.

Speaker:

You can't think, you can't keep up.

Speaker:

You feel demotivated.

Speaker:

Your energy is low all of those things.

Speaker:

And then there's the whole idea of sleep, which by the way, it can be

Speaker:

affected by your adrenals and your thyroid if we're looking at root causes.

Speaker:

But sleep is massive to make sure you have what I call, organ cushion.

Speaker:

Meaning you have more energy than the demands of your day.

Speaker:

or the things that you have on your docket would demand you have spaciousness.

Speaker:

You have energetic spaciousness, which then I go back to, you really

Speaker:

need to start looking at 5 minutes before between everything you do.

Speaker:

this aspect, which I really recommend, there's a community that we have called

Speaker:

Agents of Awakening, which at this point, you can join Agents of Awakening for 30

Speaker:

days free, and I highly recommend you do a search on Our audios and videos about

Speaker:

carrying is what burns out your adrenals.

Speaker:

And if you carry yourself, that's what burns out your thyroid.

Speaker:

So there are some really great audios on there to get some insight about that.

Speaker:

And Ruthanna, you're already in that community.

Speaker:

So I would do a little search in the search bar.

Speaker:

For some audios about that you can listen to in the car ongoingly.

Speaker:

in conclusion, I just want to say guys that, I don't know about you,

Speaker:

but I'm really all about efficiency.

Speaker:

And using tools to react to when I get overwhelmed, or when I feel so

Speaker:

much change using tools is great.

Speaker:

But if I have to use tools all the time, if I am constantly feeling

Speaker:

overwhelmed and feeling Okay.

Speaker:

This changing world is too much for me, then what I need to do is

Speaker:

I need to do a complete reset of the way that I'm looking at life.

Speaker:

And one of the things that happened to me years, probably 20 years ago

Speaker:

now is my venture into the laws of physics and neuroplasticity.

Speaker:

And what I came to understand was that the smallest particles of us, the

Speaker:

metaphysical part of particles of us.

Speaker:

There are laws that govern them and part of that is that this world is built to

Speaker:

never change because we were built to create upon what has been not to get

Speaker:

everything just so so that we can coast.

Speaker:

We are creative beings at our core.

Speaker:

By definition, that means nothing will ever be perfect because

Speaker:

there's always a way to better it.

Speaker:

To be a creator, you're creating upon what has been.

Speaker:

Hence just look at how phones have changed in the last 40 years.

Speaker:

Nevermind the tools to be able to build houses.

Speaker:

The fun of being alive is to create.

Speaker:

the faster you can make your glass ceilings, new floors, and the more you

Speaker:

can thrive and flourish through change.

Speaker:

you have an operating system that does that.

Speaker:

The more you can have a life that's really Worth living and that is all

Speaker:

about the thriving operating system and agents of awakening our community.

Speaker:

We have programs free audios and we also have a monthly call all about

Speaker:

your life and how you can start to embody flourishing rather than

Speaker:

have survival be your default you can join that at agentsofawakening.

Speaker:

com, you can do searches in the fields.

Speaker:

You can ask me questions if you jump on once a month, I'm

Speaker:

there to answer your questions.

Speaker:

one of the things about me is I have so much experience with working with tens

Speaker:

of thousands of people all over the world that, I've just become extremely adept

Speaker:

and intuitive at being able to look at.

Speaker:

Solutions, and to being able to help you and certainly in my life,

Speaker:

embodying the thriving operating system is something that, thrills me

Speaker:

to no end because it's life changing.

Speaker:

So hope that was helpful . Hope you use some of those tools and, for now.

Speaker:

This is Jennifer Huff signing off with one of the quotes that came from when

Speaker:

I was doing a zero point activation or zero point reset, and It goes like this.

Speaker:

The issue is never the issue that you made it.

Speaker:

The issue is the issue.

Speaker:

Appreciate you.
