SHOW NOTES: The loss of a close friend or family member is difficult. We feel sorrow, pain, and deep grief. Even Jesus experienced these emotions when He came to the tomb of His dear friend, Lazarus. But Jesus said this sickness would not result in his physical death. No, God had a specific purpose! The gospel writer shares, “BUT for the glory of God, SO that the Son of God may be glorified by it.” Many Jews were present in the village of Bethany that day and many chose to believe in Jesus. “I am the resurrection and the life; he who believes in Me will live even if he dies.” However, the plot thickens and the stage continues to be set for the death of Jesus.
