Hello everyone, and welcome back for Season 5 of Lush Life.
We begin this season with an author, a speaker, a liveryman at the Worshipful Company of Distillers, Keeper of the Quaich, and, most of all, a champion of whisky.
I’m Susan Schwartz, your drinking companion, and this is, Lush Life Podcast, every week; we are inspired to live life one cocktail at a time.
Eddie Ludlow is all of those things I described and more. He founded The Whisky Lounge, which has been introducing whisky to the world for over 10 years, and has just published “Whisky - A Tasting Course.”
Whether you are a beginner to whisky or a pro, there is no way you can’t learn something from his book. Everything about it makes you want to pick up that bottle and serve yourself a dram right now.
Unfortunately, due to recent circumstances, the Whisky Lounge has had to cancel their in-person tastings, but that hasn’t stopped them from planning a virtual festival, their Whisky Festival in a Box from October 16 - 18. Eddie will tell you all about how to sign up later on in the show.
Drams ready! Let’s go.
Our Cocktail of the week is the classic Old Fashioned.
