Welcome to Spirit, Mind and Meaning, a podcast that explores the intersection of psychology and spirituality through a Spiritist lens.
In the coming episodes, we bring you a series of talks on psychology and spirituality by experienced psychologists, psychiatrists and other specialists in the field. This is not a podcast for medical professionals only, although if you are one, we're very happy that you're here.
This podcast is for anyone on a journey of self discovery who may benefit from a psychological perspective grounded in spirituality. Our episodes will bring you different guests exploring important psychological concepts through a spiritual lens, more specifically, a Spiritist one.
If you're not familiar with Spiritism, it is a body of knowledge that studies the spirit -- what it is, how it was created, what its purpose is, and how it interacts with the physical world we live in. In short, because all of us are spirits, it is the search for understanding of self and the world in its deepest sense.
You do not need to know spiritism to follow our talks and series, but it may help you better understand some of the concepts that will inevitably appear in the conversations you hear on this podcast.

Our first series of talks is brought to us by the Spirit Society of Bournemouth in the United Kingdom, the Spiritist Medical Association of Brazil, sometimes referred to as AME Brazil, and Mansão do Caminho, also in Brazil.
It is entitled "Allan Kardec and Joana de Angelis: Spiritism viewed through Transpersonal Psychology," and it is a study of the Spiritist writings of Allan Kardec and Joanna de Angelis, designed to offer you an integrated view of spirituality and transpersonal psychology.
