Staci and her two siblings were born and raised in Arizona and as the middle child, she grew up wanting to be the people pleaser and to have everyone like her. Her family was into sports, so Staci initially became a gymnast, which she did very well at. In order to gain some of her time back, she eventually switched to playing softball and excelled at that too.
After high school, Staci, who is close with her family, was not ready to move away to go to college so played softball at a local community college. But again, because she was really good, a larger university saw her potential and gave her a scholarship to come play for them. Staci played ball in Florida while also attending nursing school. Between being homesick, and the harshness of one of her coaches, Staci almost quit to just come home. She is so glad she stuck it out.
Staci now looks back on those times and understands the blessings it all was and the lessons she was able to learn along the way that continue to serve her well today. Through both athletics, and nursing, Staci knows the value of teamwork and dedication. She knows that there’s value in every ‘failure’ as long as you learn and grow from it, and how it has shaped her beyond her own imagination. Staci knows the beauty happens when she has dug in and made the decision to move forward in life.
These life lesson helped Staci with her 14-year nursing career, her 20+ years as an entrepreneur, and her 20+ years as a wife and mother, lessons she is now able to pass along to her own children. Tune it to hear a wonderful story that illustrates the beauty found in life’s challenges when you are determined to make them so. Life truly is a team sport and when the desire is to raise each other up, really good things are possible.
