We will look at the kind of sacrifice that it takes to become a movement of EveryOne, EveryDay. For the disciples, this meant leaving their boats behind, and from there it meant countless everyday sacrifices of time and money. Even after Jesus left, the early church continued to live out this model of sacrifice. For us, to be a movement of EveryOne, EveryDay, we will need to make everyday sacrifices to reach our “ones”. Giving up a Saturday to help them do yard work? Giving up an evening to go to their kids ballgames? Giving up our privacy to invite them into our lives and homes? But these sacrifices aren’t just individual, the early church was a movement that made radical financial sacrifices together in order to live out the mission of Jesus.
