Speaker:

Hey, Hey, welcome back to Tuesday's

edition of the daily Bible podcast.

2

:

It's one of the most special

additions we've ever done, ever done.

3

:

I mean, this is probably the

high point of our podcast career.

4

:

I mean, I hope it goes up from here

still, but this is pretty good.

5

:

Well up to this point.

6

:

Yeah.

7

:

High point of our career.

8

:

This is, this is our first podcast.

9

:

Filmed and in front of a live studio.

10

:

Not the right word recorded.

11

:

They're in front of a

live studio audience.

12

:

Yep.

13

:

Yeah, we have, uh, we have visitors.

14

:

We do.

15

:

Yeah.

16

:

And the reason why is because Mr.

17

:

Visitor.

18

:

I didn't look at his calendar or

didn't check his text messages and

19

:

he decided to show up 30 minutes

early to an appointment, to an

20

:

appointment with you with me.

21

:

Well, that's just how good

appointments with you are.

22

:

So everybody listening on

the line, you should make an

23

:

appointment with pastor Ron.

24

:

He just wants to it.

25

:

That's how good the meetings are.

26

:

Email they're worth showing

up 30 minutes early.

27

:

PJ at best pastor ever dot stop.

28

:

You go to the well too many times on that.

29

:

It's a real email address though.

30

:

I know.

31

:

And I've only gotten one

email to that address.

32

:

Okay.

33

:

Can you remind somebody in my house?

34

:

While I was on vacation with

them and he was sitting in the

35

:

back seat and he emailed me.

36

:

Okay.

37

:

Yeah.

38

:

Well, I'll try not to use it for.

39

:

McKayla welcome.

40

:

Not the 30 guys under the bus.

41

:

Welcome.

42

:

We're glad that you're here.

43

:

You guys can say something.

44

:

You want to come to the mic.

45

:

You want to come say hi.

46

:

No, no, no.

47

:

McKayla.

48

:

Alright.

49

:

They said, no, they don't like you guys.

50

:

So we like you guys, but

they don't like you guys.

51

:

That's right.

52

:

That's all right.

53

:

That's fair.

54

:

Uh, yeah, it's Tuesday and,

uh, That's about all I got.

55

:

Hey, revivals.

56

:

Next week.

57

:

Yeah, we leave on Sunday after church.

58

:

So we're gearing up this week.

59

:

It's go time preparing last minute things.

60

:

I've got.

61

:

1, 2, 3 sermons to prepare.

62

:

Okay.

63

:

Um, well, on my way, and by Tuesday

I should be done with at least one of

64

:

those three, maybe even one and a half.

65

:

Okay.

66

:

So I'm doing that.

67

:

It's crazy time.

68

:

It's go time.

69

:

Parents.

70

:

If you're looking for emails that

they're coming, I promise you that.

71

:

But yeah, we leave on Sunday after church.

72

:

So we're going to go through

the whole Sunday thing.

73

:

We're going to do our thing to help

with tear down, and then we're all

74

:

going to have maybe some Costco

pizza together, and then we're

75

:

going to depart for new Braunfels.

76

:

Well, as good as VBS was, man, the

pressure is on for revival to be.

77

:

An awesome as true man.

78

:

That's a high bar because mark and

the team really did a great job.

79

:

Yeah.

80

:

Yeah, they killed it.

81

:

Yeah.

82

:

In fact, the market is getting

some time away this week, too.

83

:

So that's going to be good.

84

:

So pray for him.

85

:

Uh, not McKayla.

86

:

Don't pray for mark.

87

:

McKayla.

88

:

Pray for him and Julia who are

on vacation as a family together.

89

:

Great.

90

:

With their kids.

91

:

I think, I don't think

they left them at home.

92

:

You know, I'm not watching them.

93

:

At least Edith is pretty mature, but I

don't think she could handle is true.

94

:

Yeah.

95

:

Shirley's a little bit

of a handful right now.

96

:

Yeah, Lincoln, just give him a tire

and that kid's going to be fine.

97

:

The tire and a bowl of food.

98

:

He'll be fine.

99

:

Yeah.

100

:

Well, I don't know, he

doesn't even know to bowl.

101

:

If you've seen that kid on Sunday

morning, he wears more donut than he eats.

102

:

Okay.

103

:

Well, yeah.

104

:

Save it for later.

105

:

Anyways, it's going to be awesome.

106

:

Revival is going to be great.

107

:

We're glad that market some

time away and we're here though.

108

:

So let's jump into our

text, Isaiah 31 32 33.

109

:

And 30 and 34.

110

:

Yeah, we'll throw 34 in there.

111

:

It was debatable.

112

:

For a minute for the next section.

113

:

Why did they do that to us?

114

:

Because our last reading, we

started with chapter 28, I believe.

115

:

Right?

116

:

Yeah.

117

:

So chapter 28 through

chapters, 33 are the woes.

118

:

Yeah.

119

:

And I mentioned woe, w O E cause

sometimes it says, ah, it says,

120

:

ah, but that's the same word.

121

:

It's oil.

122

:

You remember, we talked about the oil.

123

:

We did.

124

:

OI is the word.

125

:

Ah, is also the word, whoa.

126

:

Typically in the old Testament.

127

:

So the.

128

:

Those are from chapters 28 to 33

and the chapters 34 and 35 are

129

:

kind of transitional chapters.

130

:

Yeah.

131

:

So just keep that in mind.

132

:

Yeah, but we're going to read all

the way through 33 today, right?

133

:

34 30, 4 30.

134

:

What would, you said a minute ago?

135

:

That's what I said.

136

:

Whoa.

137

:

I just think of Kiana Reeves.

138

:

Whoa.

139

:

Anyways.

140

:

If Kiana Reeves did a

reading of the Bible.

141

:

Would you listen to it?

142

:

I think I would.

143

:

Yeah.

144

:

Just, just for the fun

of it for the fun of it.

145

:

Would not enjoy it.

146

:

We can ask AI.

147

:

I want a reading of the

Bible by Kiana Reeves dude.

148

:

Okay.

149

:

So I've been using the

service called Speechify.

150

:

Okay.

151

:

Speechify is by far one

of my favorite tools.

152

:

We're not sponsored, but

if you want to sponsor.

153

:

I don't even know what you are speech, but

if you want to sponsor us, we'll take it.

154

:

So Speechify will take any text

and it will read it to you in

155

:

a, in a multiplicity of voices.

156

:

And one of the voices could be your own.

157

:

You can record someone else's voice.

158

:

Yeah.

159

:

And it can read for it.

160

:

So you can read up to

four and a half times.

161

:

Speed.

162

:

It's really good.

163

:

That's a lot.

164

:

And it's, and it's really accurate.

165

:

It's.

166

:

It's AI driven.

167

:

So you could use like Mr.

168

:

His voice.

169

:

If you guys know who Mr.

170

:

Beast is, a Snoop dog is on there.

171

:

I never use him.

172

:

Cameron.

173

:

Uh, no, I forget her name,

but anyway, Diaz, not Diaz.

174

:

No, it's not her.

175

:

It's a, it's another gal who

does like nature, documentaries.

176

:

Okay.

177

:

She does anyway, she

have a British accent.

178

:

Um, maybe no, no, it's

more neutral south African.

179

:

No.

180

:

Anyway, it's.

181

:

It's really good.

182

:

I've been using it with my

reading and I've been loving.

183

:

Awesome.

184

:

I'm glad that you're

listening to Speechify.

185

:

So I want to get your voice recorded

so I can have you read my stuff.

186

:

Hey, I won't do that.

187

:

I'm not doing that on my phone.

188

:

I know my voice is out there enough

that I'm sure if, if somebody

189

:

wanted to create new I willingly or

unwillingly, this is going to happen.

190

:

Well, I'm still hoping that that AI dies.

191

:

Yeah, maybe CrowdStrike

needs to go after AI.

192

:

They went after the claims

and everything the other day.

193

:

They just need to go after AI now.

194

:

So there you go.

195

:

Crush it.

196

:

Go take him out.

197

:

Go kill him.

198

:

Kill him dead.

199

:

All the AI.

200

:

Um, you know, No, not what you say.

201

:

At 31, I do.

202

:

And I'm okay with it, dude.

203

:

Come on.

204

:

I'm 40 now I'm get off my lawn.

205

:

AI you get off my lawn to go away.

206

:

I don't want you anymore.

207

:

Isaiah 30, 1 31, 1 through five.

208

:

Whoa.

209

:

Ah.

210

:

To Judah that they should

seek help from Egypt.

211

:

And so, again, this is a common theme

and the profits don't go to Egypt.

212

:

Don't seek help from Egypt.

213

:

Uh, Syria is coming.

214

:

Egypt is not going to help you.

215

:

Uh, the helper and those who seek

such help, they're going to fall.

216

:

And that's what the,

the opening verses say.

217

:

Um, because they're not

trusting in the Lord.

218

:

Egypt's not gonna be able to

deliver Judah from the Assyrians,

219

:

but the Lord ultimately would.

220

:

And so there's a hope.

221

:

That's contained here, still in

these opening five verses that God

222

:

is going to deliver them from a

Syria and that's going to happen.

223

:

A series is going to

come against the nation.

224

:

His series is going to

come against Jerusalem.

225

:

They're going to besiege the city and

yet God is going to be the one that

226

:

spares them, not through the firing of

weapons, not through anything like that.

227

:

Uh, but he is going to protect Jerusalem

delivered as it says, spear and rescue it.

228

:

And so there's hope there for

the people in the immediacy.

229

:

This is right now, this

is a millennial kingdom.

230

:

This is right now for the people.

231

:

Hey.

232

:

Yes, a serious come in.

233

:

Don't trust Egypt, trust in the Lord.

234

:

This is still coming

in repent and seek me.

235

:

Some trust in chariots and

some in horses, we trust them.

236

:

We.

237

:

We trust in the name of the Lord, our God.

238

:

That's right.

239

:

So I'm 20 verse seven,

FYI as you're reading.

240

:

I couldn't help, but think of that one.

241

:

Yeah.

242

:

Yeah.

243

:

That's that's a good one.

244

:

That's also a song from like the nineties.

245

:

Christian contemporary music area.

246

:

You know who also to seeds, family

worship, some trusted Jerry.

247

:

Yeah, that's a different one.

248

:

Yeah.

249

:

No, it's not different.

250

:

It's the same.

251

:

No, no, no.

252

:

It's a different one

than I was thinking of.

253

:

Okay.

254

:

Yeah, well, that's another good one.

255

:

Yeah.

256

:

Isaiah 31, then six through nine.

257

:

Uh, the chapter goes on and ends here.

258

:

Judah was to repent from the rebellion

because the Lord was going to deliver

259

:

them from the looming threat here.

260

:

So the message is don't trust

in Egypt, trust in the Lord, the

261

:

Lord can deliver and he will.

262

:

And so, in other words,

repent and trust the Lord.

263

:

That's always a good practice.

264

:

Amen.

265

:

Anything to add to that?

266

:

Amir Mikayla.

267

:

Nope.

268

:

That's it.

269

:

We got silent approval.

270

:

Just that.

271

:

And he said something.

272

:

He said, you got it.

273

:

Inexpressible amounts of joy.

274

:

Okay.

275

:

All right, Isaiah 32 verses one through

eight, the future millennial kingdom case.

276

:

And now we're looking forward.

277

:

Now we're focusing on the future.

278

:

The millennial kingdom is going

to be marked by righteousness.

279

:

And the evildoer is going to be

punished and in their place will

280

:

be those who seek noble things.

281

:

So in place, the evildoer is going to be

those who are seeking after noble things.

282

:

There's going to be a.

283

:

Uh, restoration, there's going

to be a, uh, a renovation.

284

:

It's going to be people that are, are

noble they're in not the evil doers.

285

:

Now notice in 32 1, it says

that the king is going to be

286

:

there along with the princes.

287

:

If you are the prisoners.

288

:

Yeah.

289

:

Well, Through the apostles.

290

:

We know that to be true.

291

:

But I also think, and if you do some

poking around some commentaries, I think

292

:

it's going to be the church, prince BJ.

293

:

Well, is that what you're looking for?

294

:

Why, why did you have to go there?

295

:

It's not about that.

296

:

It's no, but, but the, the, the

church is going to be there.

297

:

The saints are going to be

reigning with Christ and that's,

298

:

that's what this is looking like.

299

:

And so we're going to be administrating

some of the rule of Christ

300

:

during the millennial kingdom.

301

:

That's pretty awesome.

302

:

Some people would say, well,

I don't, I don't want a rule.

303

:

I'm not looking for power or prestige

or, you know, place like that.

304

:

So what would you say to that person?

305

:

Who's looked at this and say, I don't

want to do that because you fear

306

:

the sinful connotations of those.

307

:

Rules, but we're going to

be in our glorified bodies.

308

:

We're going to be free

from the presence of sin.

309

:

And so we're going to be able to

rule and administer Christ kingdom.

310

:

For the glory of Christ

alone in a, in a perfect way.

311

:

So the self is not going to be

considered there because sometimes

312

:

it's even, and it can even.

313

:

Sidebar, but let's say you're asked

to do something in serving a role

314

:

at church and you think to yourself,

well, I don't want to do that.

315

:

I'm not really an upfront personality

and, and you're couching that in language

316

:

that seems to communicate humility there.

317

:

But sometimes your humility can actually

be your pride because you're afraid of

318

:

putting yourself out in a position to

reach somebody else's going to see you in.

319

:

And you're afraid that they're going

to judge you, or they're going to

320

:

think that you're not good enough,

or they're going to think that.

321

:

Well, you didn't do as good of

a job as this person over there.

322

:

Totally.

323

:

And so you're hanging back

going well, that's not me.

324

:

I'm more of a background personality.

325

:

That's as much of a prideful

statement as the person that's

326

:

like, give me the microphone.

327

:

I want to preach the sermon.

328

:

That's right.

329

:

So pride in the opposite direction.

330

:

Right?

331

:

All that's going to be gone and we're

going to reign in, in perfect integrity

332

:

and righteousness solely for the glory

of Christ during the millennial kingdom.

333

:

That's a good word.

334

:

Yeah.

335

:

Verses nine through 14, that is a warning

to those who are complacent in at ease.

336

:

And that these times of trouble

and judgment are on the way.

337

:

So God's trying to wake them up to

stir them up to say, Hey, get ready.

338

:

And he addresses women

here and there's a lot of.

339

:

Of ink spilled on Y and yet there's

not really a lot of conclusions

340

:

that are super helpful as to

why he singles out the women.

341

:

And there's different things

as to why he singled them out.

342

:

And maybe it was because of the

failure of the man, or maybe it

343

:

was because these women were.

344

:

Particularly seizing positions of

authority that they shouldn't have, but

345

:

we don't know why he singled out the

women PR any thoughts on, on that one?

346

:

I don't.

347

:

And I did think about it.

348

:

I was just thinking, okay.

349

:

Maybe there's just a demographic

of people that guy could say, look.

350

:

Here's my here's my suspicion.

351

:

Okay.

352

:

Romans chapter one.

353

:

Women tend to be the last vestige

of what's good in culture.

354

:

And when, when, when the women fall,

you know, that culture is struggling.

355

:

Right now, women are

almost as bad as the guys.

356

:

In fact, they're showing that rates of

visiting websites that are inappropriate

357

:

are growing rapidly for women.

358

:

Yeah.

359

:

Women and girls.

360

:

Which most people would say, okay guys.

361

:

Yeah.

362

:

We know that the guy struggled with this

and that, but when women start giving

363

:

into immorality and impurity and all

sorts of things like this, you know,

364

:

culture has been almost entirely ruined.

365

:

So I think maybe there's

something like that going on here.

366

:

That's fair.

367

:

Yeah.

368

:

Yeah.

369

:

I read something along

those lines as well.

370

:

Verses 15 through 18, then days

of true peace are coming, but

371

:

not yet, they're going to be

there in the millennial kingdom.

372

:

So they're, they're not coming yet,

but they will eventually arrive.

373

:

And so that's, what's important because

the people needed to be ready for what

374

:

was coming in in the Assyrians were

going to come and after the Syrians.

375

:

I guess what the Babylonians

are going to come in.

376

:

So, um, this is important to remember

that this is a future hope that

377

:

they're, they're being held out

here, which is a hope that is going

378

:

to take a while to, to get around.

379

:

We're still waiting for

that hope for, for Israel.

380

:

Verse 19, then there's an abrupt

reminder here that there must

381

:

come judgment against Jerusalem.

382

:

And again, that's the point here?

383

:

This hope is future.

384

:

It's not right now.

385

:

Verse 19, there's judgment coming

verse 20, but then there's going

386

:

to be that peace in an abundance.

387

:

So great that you can let the animals

go out to take the first shot at the

388

:

crops because there's going to be

so many more crops that are coming.

389

:

And that's what it means by

letting your, uh, your cows go in

390

:

the ox and the donkey range free.

391

:

Among the grapes.

392

:

You're not worried about, Hey there,

they're taking the, the, the crop.

393

:

No, it's okay that they eat in the

crop because there's more on the way.

394

:

So that abundance, that

piece that's coming in, the

395

:

millennial kingdom, how exciting.

396

:

It will be.

397

:

Yep.

398

:

We're, we'll be princess.

399

:

Prince BJ prince is here

before you, you remember this?

400

:

I do not.

401

:

Nope.

402

:

No.

403

:

Nope.

404

:

I'm a Christian.

405

:

Come on.

406

:

All right, fine.

407

:

Whatever.

408

:

Do not know what that's about.

409

:

All right.

410

:

Fine.

411

:

Isaiah 33.

412

:

Is this death metal?

413

:

No, it's not.

414

:

It's like a pop.

415

:

Okay.

416

:

Well, I don't know.

417

:

Spin doctors to princes.

418

:

You should look it up.

419

:

Now.

420

:

Yeah.

421

:

They like scat in the

middle of the song to you.

422

:

A little bit of what that's about.

423

:

Yeah, whatever fine.

424

:

You know, if you sing it well

enough, maybe we could all be.

425

:

That's it.

426

:

I quit.

427

:

Nope.

428

:

Isaiah 33.

429

:

You're going to have to

just do it cause I'm out.

430

:

All right.

431

:

Verses one through six.

432

:

Changing the hearts of some of the people.

433

:

And now they express a

patient trust in the Lord.

434

:

They are waiting there.

435

:

They're willing to, and this

is interesting because this

436

:

is, this is not what we've been

seeing from the, the Israelites.

437

:

So verse 33.

438

:

Ah, whoa, you destroyer.

439

:

You have, you yourself had

not been destroyed you trader.

440

:

So now he's talking to the Assyrians

are talking to really anyone who's going

441

:

to come against the people of God and

pronouncing judgment, woe upon them.

442

:

Meanwhile, the people are saying,

verse two, Lord, be gracious to us.

443

:

We wait for you.

444

:

There's a patience that

they're expressing there.

445

:

And they're confident that the

destroyer is going to be taken out.

446

:

Their hope is no longer

in Egypt, but in Yahweh.

447

:

So this is, uh, a change of

mindset here from the people.

448

:

Verses seven through 24, then the

king is coming for a city is kind

449

:

of what we read in this section.

450

:

The righteous would love his appearing,

but the unrighteous and the sinners

451

:

are going to tremble at the thought of

being consumed by his wrath verse 14.

452

:

And in that design is going to

be an untroubled habitation.

453

:

In other words, there's not

going to be any enemies to.

454

:

To threaten the well-being of Zion, which

is quite the contrast to what they found

455

:

themselves facing in that present moment.

456

:

So that hope that that he's

casting out for the people of God.

457

:

There.

458

:

Chapter 34 then finally, uh, again, new

section here, transition section here.

459

:

Uh, but in chapter 34, the

Lord is going to judge it.

460

:

All of his opponents, all the

nations, none, none are going

461

:

to be able to stand before him.

462

:

None are going to be able to stop him.

463

:

Uh, what was once a proud land

with fortresses and cities is going

464

:

to be desolated and turned into

a habitation for wild animals.

465

:

What was once the Lena fertile

fields would turn into a lane

466

:

of thorns and thistles, and this

thing was surely going to happen.

467

:

Eat them is mentioned here as a Synectics.

468

:

The key, that is a singular

representing the whole, because ITAM

469

:

is representing all of the nations.

470

:

So when you're reading that it's not

specifically against Edam, Edam is a stand

471

:

in there for all of the opponents of gun.

472

:

Scary to think about the

judgment that's coming.

473

:

And this is even though this is a

future for Israel, speaking about

474

:

specifically their enemies, a Syria.

475

:

But this does have a larger

application to all of humanity.

476

:

Yep.

477

:

Uh, because this is also looking at

the millennial kingdom and the beyond.

478

:

This is a future reality for

everyone that we know, this is a ever

479

:

present threat for all of those who

refuse to bow the knee to Christ.

480

:

And that's an ongoing reality for all of

us, even though we're thinking about the

481

:

next political election and you know,

this guy was shot and get, he's not dead.

482

:

And you know, and this

other guy, he might as well.

483

:

Nevermind.

484

:

We ought to be careful.

485

:

We ought to be careful about getting

too involved in the here and now and not

486

:

forgetting or not forgetting that there.

487

:

And then the ultimate destruction,

the ultimate judgment that's coming.

488

:

This is where our heart needs to be.

489

:

Certainly be.

490

:

Be concerned about the present stuff.

491

:

Be.

492

:

Be powerful.

493

:

Do the, do the things you gotta do, right.

494

:

But don't forget the ultimate judgment

is coming and Isaiah 34, as a reminder

495

:

for us, that for all those who find

themselves on the other side of Christ

496

:

are not going to have a good day.

497

:

Okay.

498

:

And that's going to last for forever.

499

:

It's not a one-time thing.

500

:

It's not one political election.

501

:

This is eternity.

502

:

This is the more important thing

to be concerned about for sure.

503

:

For sure.

504

:

Well, let's pray.

505

:

And then we'll be done with this episode.

506

:

I think you've got an

appointment at three 30.

507

:

I do I do.

508

:

I.

509

:

I can't remember.

510

:

Hopefully there'll be there.

511

:

I don't know.

512

:

Maybe they won't show up.

513

:

We'll see.

514

:

All right.

515

:

Hey, let's pray.

516

:

We thank you for this text.

517

:

And we pray that as pastor rod was just

saying, we would live our lives constantly

518

:

aware of eternity and not just so focused

on today and the present troubles and,

519

:

and present temptations that we face

today, that we lose sight of what is

520

:

gonna matter for ever and ever in ever

in help us to view our neighbors in that

521

:

light as well in those that are around us.

522

:

And remember that they're going to have

an appointment either before the great

523

:

white throne or before the Bema seat in

which we'd much rather them stand before

524

:

the Bema seat than the great white throne.

525

:

So.

526

:

If we can have anything to do with that,

I pray that we would be able to win them

527

:

to Christ by being an encouragement to

them, and by sharing the gospel with them

528

:

and calling them to faith and repentance.

529

:

And so we pray this and

ask this in Christ's name.

530

:

Amen.

531

:

Amen.
