Syria and that's going to happen.

A series is going to

come against the nation.

come against Jerusalem.

They're going to besiege the city and

yet God is going to be the one that

weapons, not through anything like that.

Uh, but he is going to protect Jerusalem

delivered as it says, spear and rescue it.

And so there's hope there for

the people in the immediacy.

This is right now, this

is a millennial kingdom.

punished and in their place will

So in place, the evildoer is going to be

those who are seeking after noble things.

to be a, uh, a renovation.

It's going to be people that are, are

noble they're in not the evil doers.

Now notice in 32 1, it says

that the king is going to be

there along with the princes.

We know that to be true.

poking around some commentaries, I think

it's going to be the church, prince BJ.

or, you know, place like that.

So what would you say to that person?

Who's looked at this and say, I don't

want to do that because you fear

the sinful connotations of those.

Rules, but we're going to

be in our glorified bodies.

We're going to be free

from the presence of sin.

And so we're going to be able to

rule and administer Christ kingdom.

For the glory of Christ

alone in a, in a perfect way.

So the self is not going to be

considered there because sometimes

it's even, and it can even.

Sidebar, but let's say you're asked

to do something in serving a role

at church and you think to yourself,

well, I don't want to do that.

I'm not really an upfront personality

and, and you're couching that in language

that seems to communicate humility there.

But sometimes your humility can actually

be your pride because you're afraid of

putting yourself out in a position to

reach somebody else's going to see you in.

And you're afraid that they're going

to judge you, or they're going to

think that you're not good enough,

or they're going to think that.

Well, you didn't do as good of

a job as this person over there.

And so you're hanging back

going well, that's not me.

I'm more of a background personality.

That's as much of a prideful

statement as the person that's

like, give me the microphone.

So pride in the opposite direction.

All that's going to be gone and we're

going to reign in, in perfect integrity

and righteousness solely for the glory

of Christ during the millennial kingdom.

Verses nine through 14, that is a warning

to those who are complacent in at ease.

And that these times of trouble

and judgment are on the way.

So God's trying to wake them up to

stir them up to say, Hey, get ready.

And he addresses women

here and there's a lot of.

Of ink spilled on Y and yet there's

not really a lot of conclusions

that are super helpful as to

why he singles out the women.

And there's different things

as to why he singled them out.

And maybe it was because of the

failure of the man, or maybe it

was because these women were.

Particularly seizing positions of

authority that they shouldn't have, but

we don't know why he singled out the

women PR any thoughts on, on that one?

And I did think about it.

I was just thinking, okay.

Maybe there's just a demographic

of people that guy could say, look.

Romans chapter one.

Women tend to be the last vestige

of what's good in culture.

you know, that culture is struggling.

Right now, women are

almost as bad as the guys.

In fact, they're showing that rates of

are growing rapidly for women.

We know that the guy struggled with this

and that, but when women start giving

Verses 15 through 18, then days

of true peace are coming, but

not yet, they're going to be

there in the millennial kingdom.

So they're, they're not coming yet,

but they will eventually arrive.

And so that's, what's important because

the people needed to be ready for what

was coming in in the Assyrians were

going to come and after the Syrians.

I guess what the Babylonians

are going to come in.

So, um, this is important to remember

that this is a future hope that

they're, they're being held out

here, which is a hope that is going

to take a while to, to get around.

We're still waiting for

that hope for, for Israel.

Verse 19, then there's an abrupt

reminder here that there must

come judgment against Jerusalem.

And again, that's the point here?

This hope is future.

It's not right now.

Verse 19, there's judgment coming

verse 20, but then there's going

to be that peace in an abundance.

So great that you can let the animals

go out to take the first shot at the

crops because there's going to be

so many more crops that are coming.

And that's what it means by

letting your, uh, your cows go in

the ox and the donkey range free.

Among the grapes.

You're not worried about, Hey there,

they're taking the, the, the crop.

crop because there's more on the way.

So that abundance, that

piece that's coming in, the

millennial kingdom, how exciting.

seeing from the, the Israelites.

Ah, whoa, you destroyer.

You have, you yourself had

not been destroyed you trader.

So now he's talking to the Assyrians

are talking to really anyone who's going

to come against the people of God and

pronouncing judgment, woe upon them.

Meanwhile, the people are saying,

verse two, Lord, be gracious to us.

We wait for you.

There's a patience that

they're expressing there.

And they're confident that the

destroyer is going to be taken out.

Their hope is no longer

in Egypt, but in Yahweh.

So this is, uh, a change of

mindset here from the people.

Verses seven through 24, then the

king is coming for a city is kind

of what we read in this section.

The righteous would love his appearing,

but the unrighteous and the sinners

are going to tremble at the thought of

being consumed by his wrath verse 14.

And in that design is going to

be an untroubled habitation.

In other words, there's not

going to be any enemies to.

To threaten the well-being of Zion, which

is quite the contrast to what they found

themselves facing in that present moment.

So that hope that that he's

casting out for the people of God.

Chapter 34 then finally, uh, again, new

section here, transition section here.

Uh, but in chapter 34, the

Lord is going to judge it.

All of his opponents, all the

nations, none, none are going

to be able to stand before him.

None are going to be able to stop him.

Uh, what was once a proud land

with fortresses and cities is going

to be desolated and turned into

a habitation for wild animals.

What was once the Lena fertile

fields would turn into a lane

of thorns and thistles, and this

thing was surely going to happen.

Eat them is mentioned here as a Synectics.

The key, that is a singular

representing the whole, because ITAM

is representing all of the nations.

So when you're reading that it's not

specifically against Edam, Edam is a stand

in there for all of the opponents of gun.

Scary to think about the

judgment that's coming.

And this is even though this is a

future for Israel, speaking about

specifically their enemies, a Syria.

But this does have a larger

application to all of humanity.

Uh, because this is also looking at

the millennial kingdom and the beyond.

This is a future reality for

everyone that we know, this is a ever

present threat for all of those who

refuse to bow the knee to Christ.

And that's an ongoing reality for all of

us, even though we're thinking about the

next political election and you know,

this guy was shot and get, he's not dead.

And you know, and this

other guy, he might as well.

Nevermind.

We ought to be careful.

We ought to be careful about getting

too involved in the here and now and not

forgetting or not forgetting that there.

And then the ultimate destruction,

the ultimate judgment that's coming.

This is where our heart needs to be.

Be concerned about the present stuff.

Do the, do the things you gotta do, right.

But don't forget the ultimate judgment

is coming and Isaiah 34, as a reminder

for us, that for all those who find

themselves on the other side of Christ

are not going to have a good day.

It's not a one-time thing.

It's not one political election.

This is eternity.

This is the more important thing

to be concerned about for sure.

to Christ by being an encouragement to

them, and by sharing the gospel with them
