Tanya Chapter 44 By: Rabbi Yitzchok Minkowicz 2 meditations that will bring out our natural love for G-D There are 2 types אהבה רבה & אהבת עולם & each have different levels that is is why אהבה ויראה are called הנסתרות based on ones individual דעת. There are 2 types of אהבה that is a fusion of the two עולם ורבה & we all have it equally as it's a inheritance from our for fathers. One is called נפשי אויתיך your my life therefore I love you & want to serve you through studying Torah even to awaken in middle of the night. The second is called in Zohar in רעיה מהימנה - כברא דאשתדל בתר אבוי ואימיה דרחים לון יתיר מגרמיה ונפשיה ורוחיה כו׳ even though its from the Zohar so it's a very high level? Nevertheless since it hidden with in us we can bring it out by verbally articulating that Hashem is our father & the source of our life & that will awaken our love for G-D. If you practice this verbal exercise it exercise it will become natural. Even if it's seems like it's fake the reality is that it's true do to the hidden love the exercise is just revealing the love that is מחשבה טובה הקב״ה מצרפה למעשה to make the Torah & mitzvah sore on high. Even if it's not felt in the heart if it's just in the thought it creates the same נחת רוח. These 2 levels are called טבע when they are in the mind, thought & external heart & then they connect with the 10 sefirot of יצירה When they are in the revealed heart it's called רעותה דלבא than they enter in the 10 sefirot of בריאה as it get revealed with דעת & intense meditation as it says in Zohar בינא לבא ובה הלב מבין Even though this is a higher level of love nevertheless one has meditate on the greatness of Hashem to have אהבת עולם to create a a fiery love for G-D that comes from intense yearning like the power of gold over silver as we created למען דעת ה׳ & as it says in Zohar the reason G-D created the world is בגין דישתמודעון ליה וכו׳ Live Tanya Class at Chabad Thursday Evening at 6:30P.M.
