Shownotes

As we have said many times, emotional intelligence (EQ) is the ability to identify, understand, and use your own emotions in positive ways to relieve anxiety, as well as relieve stress, too communicate effectively, to empathize with others, to overcome challenges, and to defuse conflict.

But having a high EQ does not mean a person isn’t occasionally anxious or depressed.

Jeff talks about his personal struggles with anxiety. And how, with the help of those around him, and his continued understanding of EQ, he now has a better outlook on how he addresses anxiety in everyday situations.

In this episode, Jeff mentions The Anxiety and Phobia Workbook. Packed with the most effective skills for assessing and treating anxiety, this evidence-based workbook contains the latest clinical research. You’ll find an arsenal of tools for quieting worry, ending negative self-talk, and taking charge of your anxious thoughts.

In each episode, Jeff and Eric will talk about what emotional intelligence, or understanding your emotions, can do for you in your daily and work life. For more information, contact Eric or Jeff at info@spiritofeq.com, or go to their website, Spirit of EQ.
