Shownotes

Processes can seem soooooo boring but they are critical to your business running smoothly.

It doesn't help anyone if everything it takes to run a private practice is sitting up in your brain. It's gotta be documented, thorough and systematized so you can delegate and refine what you do.

Getting your systems and processes organized and refined is another way of how you show up for you business is out of respect for yourself, your clients, and your staff. Systems move the business out of the way of the clinical work, so it can flourish.

Processes to look at in your private practice:

  1. Marketing Processes - how you get your message out there, consistently and aligned with your mission and values.
  2. Intake Process - how you communicate the therapeutic process, ensure clinical fit, allow for ease of accessibility and set the framework for all clinical work moving forward
  3. Outcomes Process - how you measure and know what you are doing works with clients
  4. Financial Processes - payroll, budgets, cash flow, projections, fee setting, investing and growth
  5. Clinical Supervision/ Case Consultation - processes to ensure development and growth of clinical skills along with improved outcomes with clients
  6. HR Processes - hiring, onboarding, management, employee development
  7. Business Planning Process - evaluation, visioning, planning, delegating

Each of these areas have a direct impact on clinical outcomes as well. They provide a win-win for you and your clients, whether you are a solo practitioner or a group practice owner.

How you organize these processes can vary - there are online tools for collaboration such as asana, trello or slack as well as google suite apps to get you organized.
