Tanya Chapter 49 By Rabbi Yitzchok Minkowicz A meditation to be in a loving relationship with G-D G-D concealed his infinite light out of his love for us, so to we should restrict our desires for G-Ds unity. There are 3 general concealment between the three worlds of Beriyah, Yetzirah & Asiyah. The purpose of all concealment is. To create our physical bodies, to practice restraint, to transform darkness to light & to dedicate ourselves exclusively to G-D. Like מים הפנים אל פנים as good loves us so he diminished himself so to there should be nothing more important that to cleave to G-D. The purpose of שמע is that we serve G-D with all our heart with nothing in the way no other love as spouse & children, life or food to give it all up for our love of Hashem. The blessings before שמע the first blessing יוצר אור speaks of G-Ds greatness & the second אהבת עולם speaks of G-Ds great love for us that he left the upper realms & resides with us. The more we meditate on G-Ds love for us we will be able let go of what's holding us back & become one with G-D. The way we become one is thru והיו הדברים בם האלה על לבבך & ודברת by meditation & saying words of Torah. This called יחוד נשיקין A G-Dly Kiss meditation & verbal articulation of Torah.
