Fritz Schumann is from (East) Germany and has a long interest in Japan. Here he talks of coming as a student in 2009 and then as an exchange student and now a passionate writer, filmmaker, photographer and journalist who is passionately interested in sub-cultures and telling the stories of marginalized groups in Japan.
Fritz is a talented visual journalist who has been working on meaningful Japan stories by making powerful documentary films and writing stories about people whose stories are important, but rarely told.
