Shownotes

Originally coming to yoga in 1997 in order to find a way to ease pain associated with scoliosis, Sondra quickly discovered that focused movement not only helped ease the pain but was also a great training for her mind and inspirational for her spirit. Before practicing yoga, Sondra spent many years being frustrated with traditional medical approaches to scoliosis. Once she began to feel better, she wanted to share what she had learned and began teaching in 2001. Along with being a certified yoga teacher, Sondra is certified as a Yoga for Scoliosis Trainer and is an on ongoing participant in Janzen and Janzen’s Scolio-Academy. Additionally, she holds an MA in Anthropology from Stanford University, a teacher certification in Yoga and Jewish Spirituality from the Institute of Yoga and Jewish Spirituality and serves as a Spiritual Leader at Kehilla Community Synagogue in Oakland, CA. Currently, Sondra teaches ongoing classes in the San Francisco Bay Area at Kehilla as well as at Kaiser Permanente in Oakland, and Berkeley Ironworks Rock Climbing Gym. She is also available for private sessions and teaches workshops at various locations. Contact Sandra: www.raziyoga.com
