Today I'd like to tell you about a paper by a group of researchers from Germany, Finland and Switzerland, led by Gunther Felmerer of Germany. The paper is called: Increased levels of VEGF‑C and macrophage infiltration in lipedema patients without changes in lymphatic vascular morphology. It was published in the peer-reviewed journal Scientific Reports in July 2020. The aim of this study was to examine and describe the tissue and lymphatic vascular involvement in lipedema. This study provides another piece to the puzzle of lipedema.
