She has spent more than 15 years on the frontlines of ministry, bringing the hope of the Gospel into prisons, recovery programs, strip clubs, and some of the darkest places most people never see.
As the Founder and Executive Director of Kelly Master Ministries, Kelly has helped thousands of women break cycles of addiction, incarceration, and exploitation, connecting them to resources, recovery, and a renewed identity in Christ. Her work extends across the United States and internationally, reaching those who feel forgotten, overlooked, and without hope.

Through powerful storytelling and lived experience, she does more than inspire—she calls people into surrender, healing, and purpose.
Because no life is too far gone, and one encounter with Jesus can change everything.

Welcome to 12-Minute Converse with Jesus Believers.
Speaker:God chose first to have a conversation with us, His creation.
Speaker:Our prayer is that this listening space brings growth and transforms your life forever.
Speaker:Praise God for you, Kelly.
Speaker:It's a great pleasure to connect with you.
Speaker:What part of the world are you in today?
Speaker:I am in South Carolina.
Speaker:Well, tell us, what does it take to strengthen yourself to go into the places that you actually do visit to carry the Word of God?
Speaker:It is critical that I strengthen myself in the Lord to go into the places that He has called me.
Speaker:There is great spiritual warfare, and so I do not take it lightly.
Speaker:The places that He has called me, it is an honor and a joy to represent Him.
Speaker:And so I make sure, not only is it critical, I have to be intentional about really pressing in, being covered in prayer, not only my personal prayer life, but I have a team of intercessors that are continually praying for the work of the Lord that I get to do.
Speaker:So yes, it is critical.
Speaker:It's essential because, you know, it's not about me.
Speaker:It's about them.
Speaker:It's about the Lord's work.
Speaker:It's about His kingdom.
Speaker:It's about His children.
Speaker:And so I do not take it lightly.
Speaker:For those that are listening, right, they wouldn't have read your bio.
Speaker:When we talk about the places, right, and we're saying it as though it's a code word, right, where are you actually going to?
Speaker:Yes, I started fighting human trafficking back in 2011.
Speaker:I was on the forefront of fighting human trafficking and child sexual exploitation.
Speaker:Then He opened the doors for me to start going into the strip clubs in a couple of states, bringing the hope of Christ in, bringing the freedom in, being able to preach the gospel, pray with girls, give them resources to get them off of drugs and out of violent relationships.
Speaker:And then in 2018, the Lord opened the doors for me to go into prisons and addiction recovery homes and the streets around the country.
Speaker:So I travel to different states and I go into death row, maximum security, different prisons, different jails, the addiction recovery homes.
Speaker:And like I said, even on the streets to bring a message of hope and value to people.
Speaker:Here's the reality.
Speaker:You know, many people are hurting so badly.
Speaker:Many people have been through so much trauma and encountered so much pain that you can't just go out and preach the message to them and expect them to hear it.
Speaker:Sometimes you have to be the message.
Speaker:You have to be the hands and feet.
Speaker:You have to be willing to, you know, get into the trenches.
Speaker:I tell my team often you can walk by a man on the side of the road and hand him a sandwich and that's nice.
Speaker:You'll give him some food, but you can get more done if you literally sit down in a dirt with him and eat the sandwich with him and look him in the eye and remind him that he has seen, that he has known, that he has value, that his life matters.
Speaker:And you know, and that God still has a destiny for him.
Speaker:So I get to go into some, what would be perceived really, really hard, dark places, but I get to go in with the hope of Christ, the light of Christ, the hope that their life is not over.
Speaker:And so, yes, it's tremendous.
Speaker:It's hard work, but it's beautiful work and so rewarding.
Speaker:Did you always have this type of boldness and courage?
Speaker:I don't know.
Speaker:I don't know.
Speaker:I think I have.
Speaker:However, I also myself am a survivor of a lot of trauma and sexual abuse and addiction.
Speaker:And I have over 30 years clean and sober from drug addiction, alcoholism.
Speaker:Thank you.
Speaker:Right.
Speaker:God is good.
Speaker:He is so good.
Speaker:But yes, I think there's always been a boldness in me to stand for the underdog and to fight what is wrong.
Speaker:Like I've always had a social justice heart of if something is wrong, being willing to be the only person in a room standing up for what is right.
Speaker:So, yes, I do think God has placed that boldness in me.
Speaker:And, you know, for many years, unfortunately, it was used on the wrong side of things.
Speaker:It was used for my sin and for darkness.
Speaker:But now the Lord has cultivated that and captured it and uses my boldness for his kingdom, uses my boldness to see women and men set free.
Speaker:So, yes, to answer that, yes, I pretty much always had a boldness.
Speaker:But now it's even better because God has anointed it and is using it for him.
Speaker:What is temptation like 30 years before as compared to presently?
Speaker:I mean, I'm never going to say that I couldn't fall because obviously we can.
Speaker:We're human, we're flesh.
Speaker:But I will be honest, the temptation's not there because the passion and my love and my commitment for not only the Lord, but the ministry that he's called me to just completely overrides any thought of, gosh, you know, maybe I should go.
Speaker:Like it's not even there.
Speaker:And so I'm not going to say I'm beyond it because the reality is, you know, any of us could fall at any time if we're not really connected to the Lord.
Speaker:But I really don't have those temptations to use drugs or alcohol because I am just driven with a passion and a commitment.
Speaker:I'm an evangelist.
Speaker:Like I love to get out there and get into the trenches and minister the word of God to people.
Speaker:If somebody comes to my door to sell me new windows or to sell me insurance, I'm evangelizing to them because I am just passionate about souls, passionate about people being set free.
Speaker:So I'll be honest, I don't fight a daily temptation, but I never want to say that I, you know, I never want to say that I couldn't because the reality is I'm flesh and I could fall, but I do not fight a daily temptation.
Speaker:But that's because I'm staying so close to the Lord.
Speaker:When you get out there and you're having the conversation, what does the initiation for the conversation look like?
Speaker:I'm curious, right?
Speaker:The music is blaring.
Speaker:I would imagine it's loud.
Speaker:You're definitely not expected.
Speaker:So how do you initiate the conversation?
Speaker:We have to build a relationship first, a healthy relationship, and we do that through consistency.
Speaker:So every month going, we bring in these little gift bags.
Speaker:It might have earring and lip gloss.
Speaker:That's not the reason we're really there.
Speaker:That's just to get us in the door.
Speaker:And it has our business card on there so that they can look us up, look us up on our website, find all the resources that they need.
Speaker:And so when we go into a club, let's say, matter of fact, I'm going to start going into the clubs where I just moved in South Carolina.
Speaker:But when we go in, we come in non-threatening.
Speaker:So we don't come in there like, hey, we're Christians because they won't let you in.
Speaker:I come in as a resource.
Speaker:We are here as a resource for the women, and we have some resources for them if they're interested.
Speaker:And then once we get in and we get down into the dressing room, I'll let the Holy Spirit lead and guide.
Speaker:And sometimes he might give us words of knowledge for somebody.
Speaker:Other times he'll just have me pray.
Speaker:There might be 20 girls in the dressing room, but the Holy Spirit may highlight the one girl in the corner and nudge me, go over there and ask her if you can pray for her.
Speaker:And then you go over and you ask if you can pray.
Speaker:The next thing you know, she's crying.
Speaker:She's pouring out her heart, and you're telling her about the love of God.
Speaker:And so you have to be bold and you have to be fearless, and you have to know your assignment.
Speaker:I know my assignment.
Speaker:I know where God has called me, and therefore I can walk in that authority of that, not because I'm presumptuous, but because I'm confident that God has called me there.
Speaker:And so if God has called me there, I can walk under that anointing, and I can walk under that authority that I can come in there and see him break chains and set his daughters free.
Speaker:So I don't come in there like a wild evangelist.
Speaker:I come in, hopefully, in humility, and I will often say, you know, washing their feet spiritually, you know, just like we saw the example in the Bible.
Speaker:And so the goal is not to go in there and give an illusion that we're any better than them, but let them know that we're on equal playing field, because we are.
Speaker:When God looks down, he does not look at Kelly Master and think I'm any better than the girls in the strip club, or the girl with a needle in her arm in the alleyway, or the girl sitting on death row.
Speaker:I am not better than any of them.
Speaker:We are all saved by the blood of Jesus Christ.
Speaker:And so therefore, when I enter in on equal playing field, and let them know that I am just here to let you know that God is not ashamed of you.
Speaker:He is not, you know, he is not done with you.
Speaker:He sees you.
Speaker:He knows you.
Speaker:He loves you.
Speaker:And he still has a call and a destiny on your life.
Speaker:Chains start to break, walls start to come down, and you can begin to speak life and lead them to the Lord and lead them, you know, I can't heal them, but God can.
Speaker:And so therefore, I can bring them to the Lord and put them in contact, you know, with God, and he can bring healing to their trauma.
Speaker:Kelly Master, this is a pleasure.
Speaker:I treasure, I appreciate you passing by.
Speaker:Thank you for being on what is Inspired by 12 Minute Convos.
Speaker:Bye!
