This EWM INSIGHTS podcast is with special guest Head Coach Masaki Matsumoto

Coach Masaki Matsumoto was born in Japan, grew up in Seattle, WA and attended King’s High School in Shoreline, WA. 

Upon graduation he received a scholarship to play foot ball at Trinity International University in Chicago, Illinois. he holds a Bachelors degree in Physical Education and Health and a Masters Degree in Special Education. 

His coaching career began at Bernstein High School in Los Angeles, CA in 2008. 

In three seasons as Head Coach at Bernstein he reached the playoffs every season and made to the semifinals two consecutive years.  

His awards include:

The 2013 Central League Coach of the year. 

Coach of the Year 2016, 2017, 2019

Pierce County Coach of the Year

He has be on featured on ESPN E 60 "Lettermen".

Coach Matsumoto's overall Record as a Head Coach is 75-20 in 8 Seasons with 7 League Titles!
