What you are about to learn
We all know that our lives are just borrowed. We don’t know the lifespan of everyone because anything could happen. We didn’t expect this Pandemic, this COVID coming, but it happens. Anything could happen, and I mean anything. Maybe the question here is, are you doing your best to get that ultimate life you deserve? Are you satisfied with yourself?
We don’t have forever -We have a limited amount of time. And we don't know how long this COVID thing could strike us for the last many months, you know, brings us face to face with our mortality. We don't know how long we have to live. I got news the other day that someone I know personally, and I'm well acquainted with, got sick and died. So they're dead and gone now. And the disease was COVID. And they had been in the hospital and then out and then took a turn for the worse and later died. Now, this particular person was very active in pursuing his dream. And so I know that he was feeling good about the purpose that he was living. And so he was very blessed in that way. And that was exciting to know that When he did go, he had been pursuing that. But I know that if in many, many years if I had passed away, I wouldn't have been seeking it. And I'm just grateful. That being said, that person is lucky because before he left this world, he already had experienced and attained his goal. Now that’s what you need to ask yourself. Am I doing good? Am I pursuing the right direction? Do I have the right goals?
Do our goals matter? - And some people are all about goals because they're goal-driven—Series of targets along with the objectives. And we have those who may have jobs. You want to make this amount of money and get this promotion. And those are all goal-line goals, that's fine. There's also a soul line, which is the meaning of life instead of just the actions or activities of life, events of life for the goal line, and the meaning. The purpose of the deep part is called the soul line, the goal line solace framework. So we have a different set of goals. It could be tangible goals, and of course, spiritual goals. What you set for goals is a demonstration of what you believe is essential. So if I set a goal of I need to make a zillion dollars, and the purpose of that and the zillion can be any number. The use of that is so my life is secure, and I get to have access to luxury, and I get to have the things the privileges, and so forth that money buys, then that isn't very fulfilling. So goals do matter, even goal-line goals, but soul line goals matter more. Because in my experience, both of myself and my clients have been the soul line goals. The ones where we understand life and live for a deeper purpose are the ones that produce real joy and lasting happiness. And of course, that's the kind of stuff we're looking at here is the ultimate life, a life of purpose, prosperity, and joy. And those come from soul line.
Key Takeaways
“How do I find goals that matter? Well, there are lots of ways to ask these questions. And I'm not proposing this as the only way. One way is to say if they wrote this about me after I was dead, would I be proud of it?”
“So when I think about how to set goals that matter, I think of ones that will matter in the final moments, or if I had an accounting with an angel or at the pearly gates or something after I lived, like what questions there do I think will be discussed and what do I want to be able to say, just as asking and answering those calls, Questions helps me find goals that matter.”
