In this week’s episode, our host Georgina Wright is joined by Lidia Pereira, a Member of the European Parliament since 2019 and President of the Youth of the European People's Party; Monika Grzegorczyk, a researcher at the Brussels based think tank Bruegel; and Marc Steiert, a researcher at the European University Institute in Florence.

Throughout the discussion they raised some important points on youth unemployment, which has increased dramatically during the pandemic. According to a recent European Parliament report, 1,1 million young people aged 15 to 24 - and a further one million young people aged 25 to 29 - lost their jobs between the end of 2019 and the first quarter of 2021.
