Cuando los marines americanos llevaron discos de blues a los puertos ingleses, no fueron conscientes de que se generaría todo un movimiento. Primero en las bandas de beat y pop y posteriormente todo un estilo definido, fusionando la herencia del blues negro americano con el rock eminentemente inglés.
