Either you like owls or you are wrong

Came the brown delicate waters through the blue air,

Take from those common shines for all realities.

Vexed by that heavenly flattery for her eyes,

Will shine as the lilies of Floridian days,

Fell on my spirit with the imperial night,

Both smile and secret with a heavenly pall:

Bending our smile like a wave in the air,

Laid violets on a world like fondling snow,

Struck at each stroke of some hill on every hand

A sight of many beauty, and glorious youth,

Both mist and dream in the large procession of skies

Subsists in every human power; not thine,

Swifter than all flickering meaning of the fight

Strikes the bright chariot with their twinkling wings,

Read thy radiant eye till the hour of dews,

Shining in perpetual converse with the eyes;

Almost like thou morning over thy large set stand,

Purer than crystal from a visionary soul;

To leave your voice again, At every hour,

Or drifting white to the brilliant of accident

Some sign of an ancient artist upon its plan,

Steals out among the quiet decorated life,

Smooths my white rivulets with the twinkling smoke,

Behold the Spirit of Love within thy lyre.
