Speaker:

host, bestselling author and master life and business

Speaker:

coach, Molly Claire.

Speaker:

Hey, coaches, I've got a great episode for you today. I am

Speaker:

interviewing two coaches. They are in Master Coach

Speaker:

Training and they are blowing my mind at the ways they are

Speaker:

integrating this high level work with their clients.

Speaker:

Meg and Jenny both focus on helping moms. Of course,

Speaker:

I'm releasing this episode this week since we are

Speaker:

celebrating Mother's Day here. Huge shout out to those

Speaker:

of you out there who are moms who support moms. Those

Speaker:

of you who play that type of role in any kids lives,

Speaker:

shout out to you. The work you are doing matters. It is so

Speaker:

important, it is often overlooked. But wow, does it make a

Speaker:

difference. In this interview, you're going to learn a little bit

Speaker:

more about how these coaches are integrating the

Speaker:

work of master coach training as they are helping their clients.

Speaker:

We're going to talk about the ways and reasons why

Speaker:

having a whole view of your client, their emotions, their cognition,

Speaker:

their nervous system, and the ways that action focused

Speaker:

strategies will be most effective for them. You're going to learn about why

Speaker:

this matters and how it makes a difference. And something I am

Speaker:

really excited about is that both Meg and

Speaker:

Jenny are offering a special bonus offer

Speaker:

to any of you here who are moms, or if you know a mom and

Speaker:

you send them their way, they are offering something extra

Speaker:

special for those of you as moms because you're

Speaker:

here listening to this podcast. So stay tuned for what they've

Speaker:

got in store for you. All right, let's go ahead and dive right

Speaker:

in. Okay, coaches, so I get to have two of

Speaker:

my favorite people here, two of my clients who are

Speaker:

doing incredible work as coaches with moms.

Speaker:

Go ahead and tell us a little bit about you, Jenny.

Speaker:

Welcome to the show. Tell us, who are you and what do you do?

Speaker:

I'm Jenny Percy, and I am a coach for moms who

Speaker:

are feeling overwhelmed, and I help them simplify their lives

Speaker:

so they have more time and energy for the things that are important to

Speaker:

them. Oh, my gosh. Like every mom listening. You know, I

Speaker:

started working with moms initially, and of course, Jenny

Speaker:

was- she did my advanced certification for motherhood and family life.

Speaker:

Every mom listening is overwhelmed, like the first

Speaker:

word we think of when we think of being a mom. Maybe it might

Speaker:

be. Yeah. And I know, Jenny, you're going to speak more to

Speaker:

this, but one of the things you're really focusing on in your

Speaker:

business up and coming is decluttering and, and how

Speaker:

powerful decluttering that space in the home

Speaker:

is with regard to all of that overwhelming experience.

Speaker:

Absolutely. Yep. I'm all for helping, helping moms create

Speaker:

that peaceful home and a more peaceful mind with that as well.

Speaker:

Yeah. Yeah. I love it. Okay,

Speaker:

Meg, tell us about you. Thank you, Molly.

Speaker:

Yes. I am a

Speaker:

fellow mom, and I help other moms feel capable of raising their kids,

Speaker:

whether they're typically developing or otherwise.

Speaker:

And I just help them no matter how

Speaker:

many times they feel like they've messed up along the way. Oh, my gosh.

Speaker:

We all feel that way, for sure. So, as you hear

Speaker:

Jenny and Meg, there is some similarities in

Speaker:

what they do. But as we talk through this episode, we're

Speaker:

going to highlight each of these women, and I'm really excited

Speaker:

for them to share with you, really, the unique way they

Speaker:

work with their clients. And they both bring a little bit different background and they're

Speaker:

just, they're doing phenomenal work.Okay. So as we talk about this,

Speaker:

one of the reasons that I reached out to these two

Speaker:

amazing women is they are both in Master Coach Training.

Speaker:

And I've been wanting to highlight some of

Speaker:

the master coaches and really have

Speaker:

them speak to the expansion of the coaching tools because

Speaker:

having coaching tools that work and being able to

Speaker:

create a safe, ethical, effective space for your clients

Speaker:

is such a big deal. And so I wanted to highlight them and talk

Speaker:

a little about master coach training. So I'm just

Speaker:

going to go back and forth and pick on you a little bit.

Speaker:

Meg, I would love to know from you the work that we're

Speaker:

doing in master coach training, how have

Speaker:

you noticed it impacting your ability to help these

Speaker:

moms that you're working with? Master coach training

Speaker:

has really shed a lot of light on

Speaker:

slowing down with ourselves, and as I work

Speaker:

with the moms of kids who have

Speaker:

varying levels of need, I'm able to help her

Speaker:

slow down and really understand what she

Speaker:

needs is separate from what her children need. And

Speaker:

so she can fill herself up a bit more as she

Speaker:

pours into her kids. Yeah. And one

Speaker:

of the things that you're speaking to, and for both of you, I know I'm

Speaker:

kind of picking on you, but please, you know, speak up if you have something

Speaker:

to interject, too, because I really think just a conversation

Speaker:

about this is the best. But, you know, Meg, as you were speaking,

Speaker:

I was thinking about what we studied just a few weeks

Speaker:

ago about that idea of the parent child

Speaker:

relationship being so intertwined. Right.

Speaker:

And being so caught up in, if my kids emotions are

Speaker:

high, my emotions are high. If my kid isn't succeeding,

Speaker:

then I need to figure out how to make them succeed. Right. And we get

Speaker:

so entangled. And I love that you're

Speaker:

speaking to the work you're doing with moms to

Speaker:

help them, really to be grounded in themselves,

Speaker:

to slow down. Right. Make sure that they are

Speaker:

able to regulate their nervous system and attend to their needs so they can

Speaker:

be there for their kids, which is a big

Speaker:

deal. Absolutely. It's a huge,

Speaker:

huge impact on their family when they're able to do that.

Speaker:

Yeah, yeah, yeah. And Jenny, I'd love to know from you,

Speaker:

too, thinking about the work we do in master coach

Speaker:

training, whether it's, you know, part of the niche work that we do or any

Speaker:

of those fundamentals of the cognitive emotion work, all the

Speaker:

things. Where do you find it helping you, help your

Speaker:

clients? Yeah. Well, I mean, you wouldn't think that

Speaker:

you necessarily needed a master coach when it came to decluttering, but it

Speaker:

actually can be really hard to do and really

Speaker:

emotional. And a lot of people feel a lot of-

Speaker:

can feel a lot of shame around the clutter in their

Speaker:

homes. So it's important to me to be able to

Speaker:

create, you know, a safe space, space for people to come together

Speaker:

and feel, you know, that they can be vulnerable, that they can be

Speaker:

supported. And I think all the things that we're learning

Speaker:

about tapping and nervous system regulation

Speaker:

is really, really helping me be able to support

Speaker:

them with all those emotions that can come up.

Speaker:

Yeah, I think. And using that word support, I love it, because,

Speaker:

you know, as coaches, we can, we can have a plan of action. Right. And

Speaker:

certainly there are things that we encourage our clients to do, and

Speaker:

I know both of you are well trained in a cognitive

Speaker:

model as well, where we're looking at beliefs and mindset, and

Speaker:

yet the part where we're able to actually support

Speaker:

our clients and what they're experiencing, it's a

Speaker:

whole different thing. Right. And, I mean, I've had people help

Speaker:

me with decluttering before, and I was so surprised at the

Speaker:

emotions that I had and that we would need to go for a walk around

Speaker:

the block because it got to be so much. I

Speaker:

know. And oftentimes it's because of, you know, a phase of your life is

Speaker:

ending and you're entering into a new phase and you're letting go of things, you

Speaker:

know, the little baby clothes or whatever it might be. And it

Speaker:

does, it brings up a lot of emotion. Yes, it, it really

Speaker:

does. And it's unique also to be

Speaker:

helping moms with that decluttering piece.

Speaker:

Right. Because if there's one thing I think we,

Speaker:

most of us, anyway, have experience, experienced as moms, there's

Speaker:

just, there are a lot of ways you just don't have the control you would

Speaker:

like to have in your environment. Right. What's coming in and out

Speaker:

of the house and what's going on. So, so it can feel a lot.

Speaker:

It can feel quite chaotic, I think. Exactly. Yeah.

Speaker:

Yeah. And one question I wanted to ask you, too, and this

Speaker:

is certainly, obviously, both of you are bought into

Speaker:

the idea of serving your clients well and having the

Speaker:

best skills that you can have and all of that. And I also

Speaker:

would love to know from both of you why

Speaker:

you've chosen to work with moms, why you see that as such an

Speaker:

important client to work with. Meg, I'll pick on you

Speaker:

first. I would love to. I absolutely love working

Speaker:

with moms because I feel like moms want to be a

Speaker:

role model and they want to be the person that their kids are

Speaker:

looking up to. And if mom can

Speaker:

present herself and be that mom that

Speaker:

she always has envisioned, you know, she

Speaker:

will treat her kids in just that way

Speaker:

she's proud of. And then when her kids are grown and have their own

Speaker:

kids, that's going to be their role model. You know, that's what

Speaker:

they're going to be mimicking. So it's just the trickle down effect, the snowball

Speaker:

of it is just absolutely amazing

Speaker:

to think about. Yeah. And, I mean, as

Speaker:

you were talking, I was thinking about how I

Speaker:

certainly learned great things from my mom

Speaker:

and about being a mom and the work

Speaker:

that I've done personally and the work that we do in master coach

Speaker:

training that I started doing for myself and have brought to

Speaker:

this. I can genuinely say that it has made

Speaker:

me such a better mom kind

Speaker:

of in ways I didn't even realize were there. Right. I would say

Speaker:

even in emotional capacity and an

Speaker:

understanding of emotional needs, which is kind

Speaker:

of interesting to think about because, and I know both of you understand this because

Speaker:

you're in that training. Right. And, you know, the emotion work that we're talking about.

Speaker:

But I think that for most of us as coaches,

Speaker:

we've probably always been pretty aware of feelings. A lot of us are

Speaker:

very sensitive. We're maybe intuitive. We're maybe

Speaker:

empathic. I definitely relate to all of those

Speaker:

things. And it actually never would have occurred to me that there were

Speaker:

some emotional gaps for me in my

Speaker:

parenting. And yet the more that we

Speaker:

study this work and learn about how to

Speaker:

attend to our own emotional needs, it's expanded my

Speaker:

capacity to be there for my kids, which is such a big deal.

Speaker:

Right. It's given understanding to what they're going

Speaker:

through or how they might be feeling or even just how to support

Speaker:

them in that way that prior to master coach training,

Speaker:

I would have just kind of been at a loss and, you know, stepped back

Speaker:

from and said, you know, I don't really know what to do here, but now

Speaker:

I'm able to support with open arms and just be right there

Speaker:

where they need. Yeah. And such a need. Right. It's

Speaker:

one of the things that I've talked about in the past and in some of

Speaker:

my webinars as well with regard to people with a mom niche

Speaker:

is, it can be hard for moms to justify

Speaker:

paying for coaching sometimes. And this idea that

Speaker:

as coaches who are saying "coaching moms matters"

Speaker:

is really kind of validating

Speaker:

to these women that they deserve to have help

Speaker:

and support. And it's always so crazy to me to think about, you know,

Speaker:

you look at Olympic athletes, you look at, you know,

Speaker:

CEO's, you look at people in these, you know, quote unquote,

Speaker:

big roles or these big purposes to

Speaker:

fulfill, and they all have coaches, right? Not just one.

Speaker:

And yet as women, as moms, first of all, we have

Speaker:

no idea what we're doing when we have a baby, right? It's

Speaker:

like, oh, I'm taking this human home. Right. So not only

Speaker:

that, but, but it really is such important

Speaker:

work to be cultivating a space of growth

Speaker:

for another human being. And so. Oh, my gosh, like, if anyone

Speaker:

needs a coach, he do. Yes,

Speaker:

absolutely. Yeah. And, Jenny. Yeah. I'd love to hear more from you

Speaker:

about, about coaching. Yeah. I was going to say, you know what

Speaker:

I love coaching about with moms is that

Speaker:

often moms, they've got so many roles and responsibilities and

Speaker:

they're often putting themselves last. And

Speaker:

I don't think you realize until you do give yourself some

Speaker:

time to devote to yourself how the ripple effect that that

Speaker:

has that, you know, it's not selfish to go

Speaker:

and get a coach for yourself. It is actually

Speaker:

benefiting, you know, your whole family around you as well.

Speaker:

And that's what I love to see. Yes. I mean,

Speaker:

absolutely. The ripple effect is just everything.

Speaker:

Okay. So I want to come back to you, Meg, because

Speaker:

outside of being a coach, you also are a

Speaker:

personal trainer, but not just any personal trainer. So talk a little

Speaker:

bit about the work that you do there.

Speaker:

I do personal training for quite a variety of

Speaker:

people, but one specific population is

Speaker:

I am a specialty fitness trainer. So I work with

Speaker:

adult aged people that have autism or down

Speaker:

syndrome or id, and I

Speaker:

meet them at a space and I help them,

Speaker:

of course, build strength, but also just help them

Speaker:

interact with people in the social situation or

Speaker:

encourage them when they're feeling their big feelings. Being in a

Speaker:

social situation, and it's so much more than just

Speaker:

training muscles and building endurance. It's also building life

Speaker:

skills. Yes. And I know

Speaker:

one thing. Not only do you, do you work with that population, but you

Speaker:

support the moms of those clients.

Speaker:

Yes. Oh, yes. I learned

Speaker:

early on just in the interactions that I was having

Speaker:

with mom as she was dropping off

Speaker:

her child to be with me,

Speaker:

just kind of hearing how her day was going and what was going on.

Speaker:

And I am able to support mom in that

Speaker:

space as she's juggling a journey that maybe she

Speaker:

never anticipated. It's different. It's not what she expected.

Speaker:

And helping her just have some clarity

Speaker:

in her expectations for herself as she

Speaker:

is navigating all of this, as she's navigating the

Speaker:

schedules and the upcoming changes as her

Speaker:

child has. Her child has gone from being a

Speaker:

kid up to being an adult. Yeah. And

Speaker:

as I'm listening to you, it's like,

Speaker:

obviously there are special

Speaker:

needs within that experience

Speaker:

for the mom of the special needs child. Right. There are special

Speaker:

needs there. And when I look at my own kids,

Speaker:

and I think anyone who's listening who is a mom, if you think about each

Speaker:

of your kids, they each kind of have certain

Speaker:

special needs about them, right. Certain things that

Speaker:

challenge them. And I think, and this isn't to minimize

Speaker:

parents with special needs kids, that they're really taking a

Speaker:

significant amount of time and support. Not at all

Speaker:

to minimize that. And I also want

Speaker:

to acknowledge that some of the

Speaker:

challenges that you're supporting those moms with, so many of

Speaker:

us just, we have just a different flavor of those challenges.

Speaker:

Right. Like, this isn't what I thought motherhood would be

Speaker:

like. I have certain expectations for my child, and they're not being

Speaker:

met. How do I know what my role is and what it isn't?

Speaker:

It's just, it's so, so much. Right. So I would

Speaker:

imagine that we're obviously, you would be

Speaker:

hands down the one to coach a mom of

Speaker:

a child with special needs. And I

Speaker:

feel like this has to really equip you even better to

Speaker:

be able to work with moms of all kinds.

Speaker:

Would you agree? Like, I would love to know how it impacts your ability to

Speaker:

help these women. Having the awareness and

Speaker:

the ears to really listen to what mom is searching

Speaker:

for as she is

Speaker:

parenting any of her children and knowing that just like no

Speaker:

two people are the same, no two relationships between

Speaker:

mom and child are the same. And so

Speaker:

by having my experience working with all types of

Speaker:

populations, I'm able to kind of meet her right where she is.

Speaker:

And, you know, mom, just listening

Speaker:

what is missing in you right now or just what needs to

Speaker:

be nourished or loved or fueled so that you can keep

Speaker:

fulfilling the needs of your children no matter what

Speaker:

phase that they're in. Yeah. It just,

Speaker:

as I have learned, I have experienced the

Speaker:

patience that is required and the ability to

Speaker:

really slow down and understand what is going

Speaker:

on with my clients and then also with their

Speaker:

parents and kind of how to bridge that gap that they

Speaker:

may need to be filled. Yes. And, you know, as

Speaker:

you were talking, I was thinking about, I know many of you can just hear

Speaker:

this and you can't see the video, but, you know, Meg's putting her hands

Speaker:

on her heart. I feel like we're doing that all the time - right -

Speaker:

in our group because I always do that, too. It's like this way of self

Speaker:

connecting. And I was thinking about this concept

Speaker:

that we study in master coach training where

Speaker:

we're talking about how to untangle in their relationship, to

Speaker:

connect. Right. And when we, in our relationship,

Speaker:

whether it's with our kids, our spouse, or anyone, when we can,

Speaker:

can kind of create space between us and that other person,

Speaker:

kind of mentally and emotionally connect with

Speaker:

self and then have the tools to connect with that

Speaker:

child or with that spouse else - right - it's, I believe,

Speaker:

anyway, the absolute opportunity to have the

Speaker:

best relationship with self and the most supportive

Speaker:

relationship with everyone else in our lives.

Speaker:

Yeah. And I love that you're, It sounds like you're able to do that

Speaker:

in. In both of these areas of your life when you're doing the

Speaker:

personal training and supporting those moms. And also just

Speaker:

in the coaching space with the moms you work with, untangling.

Speaker:

Spider webs, the specialty.

Speaker:

That could be your, your catchphrase right

Speaker:

there. Amazing.Okay, I'm going to pick on you a

Speaker:

little bit, Jenny, because I'd love to hear more about the

Speaker:

decluttering work that you're doing and kind of what brought you to that.

Speaker:

Because I know, in working with you that you, you've

Speaker:

offered a variety of really supportive pieces of

Speaker:

your business to moms with energy. Right. And

Speaker:

just so many things. And so tell, tell us a little bit about

Speaker:

why you're gravitating toward the decluttering.

Speaker:

Okay, sure. So I guess, overall, my

Speaker:

overarching thing I'm always trying to do is make life easier for moms.

Speaker:

Really? Like, it's never going to be a walk in the park, but there are

Speaker:

things that we can do to make things easier. Okay. And,

Speaker:

and the thing that I'm specifically focusing on now is this, is

Speaker:

this decluttering peace. Because I think, like I said

Speaker:

earlier, just having that, having a peaceful

Speaker:

home does help. You have a peaceful mind, and I think it can be

Speaker:

one area of your life where you can have a little bit of control sometimes.Like,

Speaker:

I know, I recall one time decluttering my pantry, and it was

Speaker:

like, the one space in my house that, you know, when I

Speaker:

opened it up, I just felt calm. And so sometimes, like, when things are

Speaker:

falling around, you can just go and breathe.

Speaker:

It's so true. I mean, as you were saying that, I remember

Speaker:

when I first, I decluttered my entire kitchen and everything

Speaker:

was labeled. Everything everywhere. And

Speaker:

it's really true. It has a psychological impact.

Speaker:

It does. It does. It really does, though. Yeah.

Speaker:

And where do you see your, your clients

Speaker:

struggling with either starting the process of

Speaker:

decluttering or maintaining it? I

Speaker:

would say oftentimes people can get started,

Speaker:

but then they run out of steam and they end up with a bigger

Speaker:

mess than when they began, and it, and it just becomes so

Speaker:

overwhelming. And so the process I use, that won't

Speaker:

happen. You won't have that. The particular process I'm

Speaker:

using, it's always, you know, you're always making

Speaker:

progress. Things are never getting worse. They're always getting better.

Speaker:

So. And it's something that you can do

Speaker:

in a very short amount of time. That's all you've got.

Speaker:

You know, it's obviously going to take longer, but you're going to chip away at

Speaker:

it and you are going to make progress, which I think, you know, a lot

Speaker:

of us don't have the time or the energy, especially moms,

Speaker:

to dedicate a whole day to pulling everything out

Speaker:

and going through it all. So, you know, so it was

Speaker:

important to me to have a way that, that's

Speaker:

accessible for people with little time or energy.

Speaker:

Yeah, it's those bite sized pieces, right? Kind of

Speaker:

like, like when we talk about the effective action

Speaker:

strategies in master coach training, like how do we help people move forward?

Speaker:

Well, if they're already overwhelmed, giving them a big

Speaker:

project - right - is going to be overwhelming. But when we can give

Speaker:

our clients those bite sized pieces, pieces and do it in a way where you're

Speaker:

bringing that emotional support, awareness of the nervous system,

Speaker:

it's just like, I'm ready to hire you, and, and I

Speaker:

certainly could use it. And I just love to listen to your voice, so that

Speaker:

also would be helpful. So amazing.

Speaker:

And. Yeah, and I think also. No, I was going to say that

Speaker:

I think what I've discovered is, you know, there's

Speaker:

thousands of books on decluttering. Like, it's, and oftentimes

Speaker:

it similar to weight loss. It's not like we don't know what to

Speaker:

do. It's just for some reason, it's really hard to do.

Speaker:

And I think through master coach training, I've been able to take the

Speaker:

pieces of the puzzle and put it together in a way that's going

Speaker:

to make it work for people. And a big part of that, I

Speaker:

think, too, is doing it in a community, in a safe, supportive

Speaker:

community that we all motivate each other

Speaker:

and support each other and just give each other that direction to take

Speaker:

the next step and cheer each other on. And I think that is

Speaker:

a big piece of it as well. Yes. It's the best,

Speaker:

isn't it? I just feel like it's just this space of so much

Speaker:

support and connection and all of it.

Speaker:

And, I mean, I'm just going to tell you all, I, unapologetically, I'm going to

Speaker:

be telling you why these two are the best people to hire

Speaker:

for what they offer and because not only because I

Speaker:

obviously love and adore them and know how good they are,

Speaker:

but also, you know, we, we really, together

Speaker:

are studying the, the ways to make sure that

Speaker:

the work that we do with our clients is effective.

Speaker:

Right. And so, so I think it's, it's a big deal.

Speaker:

In, in a few minutes, I actually am going to kind of ask that

Speaker:

question so we can understand why what you do is different, why

Speaker:

it's going to be so effective for the mom's listening

Speaker:

here, or if you're listening here and, you know, a mom. Right. Why you should

Speaker:

send people to them. But I want to shift gears just for a

Speaker:

minute, because, you know, here we're talking about how you're

Speaker:

supporting the women you work with. And

Speaker:

I think we all know, I can at least say this, everything I've

Speaker:

ever learned to be able to support all of you as my clients,

Speaker:

it always benefits me in so, such a big way. First,

Speaker:

I would love to hear from, from both of you how

Speaker:

this community and learning and master coach training

Speaker:

has impacted you personally. So

Speaker:

who wants to go first? Raise your hand. Yeah,

Speaker:

I can say that right before this call with you,

Speaker:

I was tapping like it was something I never

Speaker:

knew anything about before. And I mean,

Speaker:

the wonderful Melanie Faye has just,

Speaker:

oh, she just blows me away. She's just phenomenal at

Speaker:

what she does and how, you know, like, I'm

Speaker:

someone who has to mostly watch replays, but,

Speaker:

but I feel like she's talking to me. That has helped

Speaker:

me so much. The nervous system work and realizing, like, it's one of those things

Speaker:

where, you know, oh, yes, you need self care is important, yada,

Speaker:

yada. But it's not until, you know, we've

Speaker:

heard how Leah has shared with us

Speaker:

how the benefit that that's having on us and being able

Speaker:

to show up for all the things that we're doing

Speaker:

in our lives when we look after our nervous system like

Speaker:

that has helped me immensely. Well,

Speaker:

and I love that you brought them up because Melanie,

Speaker:

Leah, Lindsey, of course Krista's going to be in there.

Speaker:

I think one of the benefits is just, just

Speaker:

when you are with other women who bring some

Speaker:

unique gifts and sort of that nurturing, it just has an

Speaker:

impact. Right. And it's true. So, you know, you may have noticed Jenny said

Speaker:

she doesn't attend a lot of the calls because she is, she,

Speaker:

listen to this. She is up this morning for a 04:00 a.m..

Speaker:

Interview. I about died when she told me. But Jenny

Speaker:

isn't able to attend the calls live. And, and we were talking the

Speaker:

other day about how she still feels a part of things. So I

Speaker:

say that because I know some of you that have talked to me, you have

Speaker:

that concern. But I promise you will feel a part of things

Speaker:

even with watching the replays and being there on Slack.

Speaker:

Yeah, definitely. Yeah. Yeah. And these women

Speaker:

really are phenomenal. And I was going to mention something about,

Speaker:

about Leah and what you were saying about, you know, well, self care

Speaker:

is all, you know, fine and well, but it

Speaker:

really is a big deal. I will never forget when, I don't

Speaker:

know if you remember either of you, but when I asked Leah in one of

Speaker:

the calls about talking about how,

Speaker:

yeah, we can have activation, but we also still have some

Speaker:

access to the cognitive. Right. Which is true. But if you remember,

Speaker:

what she said was, I think you would be surprised at

Speaker:

how much you do lose access to your

Speaker:

prefrontal cortex with that nervous system activation, and it blew

Speaker:

my mind. And so I think, really, that's been one of the things

Speaker:

for me that I have really continued to remind

Speaker:

myself of that. Like, listen, for us as. As women, as

Speaker:

moms, for us as business owners, we

Speaker:

have absolutely got to be in a space

Speaker:

where we are grounded, where we are peaceful, where we feel

Speaker:

safe. That is how we create businesses. That is

Speaker:

how we create connection. That's how we do all of it. So it's not just,

Speaker:

like a nice thing. It's the foundation of

Speaker:

creating the things we most want, I think. Yeah,

Speaker:

definitely. Yeah. And kind of piggybacking,

Speaker:

piggybacking on that. As you just said, one of the things in master coach

Speaker:

training that we talk about is that activation. And the way

Speaker:

that has directly impacted me as a mom

Speaker:

is when I am, you know, handling my kids that

Speaker:

I call the witching hour at my house between four and 06:00,

Speaker:

when they've gone through all of their day, all of their

Speaker:

highs and lows and all of that, and just when they say

Speaker:

their words, I can have compassion for them.

Speaker:

Okay, this individual just experienced all

Speaker:

of these highs and lows, and maybe, as you said, maybe their brain isn't on

Speaker:

right now and giving them that space

Speaker:

to be there and offer support but not force it, because we

Speaker:

also know if we don't want help, we're not going to receive it. So

Speaker:

offer the support, but if they say, no, thank you, you know, allowing them

Speaker:

to have that space and then talking to them later, and

Speaker:

that is something that has absolutely impacted my own

Speaker:

personal life. I'm able to be more patient with my kids during

Speaker:

witching hour. Yeah. Yeah, I love that. I just

Speaker:

yesterday was talking with a friend that was- we were just walking

Speaker:

in the neighborhood and, you know, she's asking me kind of like, trying

Speaker:

to understand more about master coach training. Right. And what do we do?

Speaker:

And of course, you know, I'm always implementing all of this

Speaker:

work for myself. And I didn't know what to say other

Speaker:

than, I mean, obviously you can say, okay, these are the, you know, foundational pieces

Speaker:

of effective change, and you want to help your clients change and have it be

Speaker:

lasting and all those things. But I said, you know, the best

Speaker:

way I can describe it for me and for. For my coaches in

Speaker:

the program that I've spoken with is

Speaker:

just feeling more emotionally

Speaker:

resilient, feeling more settled

Speaker:

and stronger in self trust in

Speaker:

capabilities and all of it. Which it's like, first of

Speaker:

all, hallelujah. Right? Like, even for our personal life and

Speaker:

how we feel. I mean, what a foundation for long term

Speaker:

health. And that spills over into our

Speaker:

ability to be a strong CEO as we build our business. Because building a

Speaker:

business, it's a whole. It's a whole other thing. Right. It's a whole different

Speaker:

ballgame. And yet when we can have this

Speaker:

foundation of feeling grounded, emotional

Speaker:

resilience, building self trust, it opens the door

Speaker:

for us to more effectively learn those business

Speaker:

building skills. Right, right. And then, of course, the huge benefit is that we

Speaker:

get to help our clients, too. So, so good. Yeah.

Speaker:

The personal, the person. Who was it? I think it was our other Jenny

Speaker:

was saying that, you know, master coach training is like the

Speaker:

best self care program ever, and we just thank goodness that we get to

Speaker:

justify it as business. Right. And do it, too, because it's business.

Speaker:

But, oh, my gosh, what a space of support. Yeah, yeah,

Speaker:

it's wonderful. Anything else either of you wanted to speak to on that? I

Speaker:

know, I just kind of went off on my own tangent. No, I think

Speaker:

it was making me think of when we do any coaching work, it's

Speaker:

opening up possibility in other areas that you don't even realize.

Speaker:

Like one client I was working with, I was helping her with her

Speaker:

decluttering and just doing that sort

Speaker:

of, it boosted her confidence and it helped

Speaker:

her think about. She started talking to me about a business idea that she

Speaker:

has to launch her own business. Making home cooked

Speaker:

meals for freezer meals for busy

Speaker:

working parents for their kids, this sort of thing. And it's just like, that's not

Speaker:

what she came to me for in the first place. And I think that's

Speaker:

what we do for people is open up that possibility for them in other

Speaker:

areas. Yes, yes, yes,

Speaker:

absolutely. Which I think actually is another reason that it

Speaker:

is so important to expand our skills as a coach.

Speaker:

Right. Because our client, like, I had a client that came to me,

Speaker:

this was years, probably like seven years ago in my business, and she was

Speaker:

wanting me to help get her side business going. Well, we talked about her

Speaker:

relationship with her mother in law for three months. Right. It was like,

Speaker:

this is not what she came to me for. So I think that's the other

Speaker:

thing We have to remember that as coaches, sometimes our clients come to us for

Speaker:

a pain point because that's the easy thing to say I need help with.

Speaker:

But when we can be equipped in a well rounded way, it is. I mean,

Speaker:

we really can support incredible changes. Yeah.

Speaker:

Okay, so we're going to wrap this episode up here in just a few minutes.

Speaker:

But I want to ask you. I'm going to, I'm going to ask each of

Speaker:

you, what makes you different? Why should someone hire you? I'm

Speaker:

just, like. I'm just saying it because I just know how good

Speaker:

both of you are. And I know all of you listening. I know there are

Speaker:

moms out there who are overwhelmed, stressed out, worried if

Speaker:

you're doing enough as a mom, thinking that you've already messed up a

Speaker:

million times. And I think Meg is

Speaker:

like, she's the one right for that. So,

Speaker:

Meg, tell us, how can you help these

Speaker:

women? Love to help these women. And as

Speaker:

you said, you know, feeling like they messed up a million times, you know, that's

Speaker:

okay. That's okay. And just meeting them right

Speaker:

where they are, even with all those mess ups and teaching them how

Speaker:

to care for their unique selves and their unique

Speaker:

family and just having that understanding compassion

Speaker:

for all of it, no matter what they thought they were getting

Speaker:

into, compared to what it is now,

Speaker:

specifically, if it's the typical child or otherwise,

Speaker:

and just allowing them to be just

Speaker:

who they are, it's just so beautiful. And

Speaker:

I love to talk to each of the moms.

Speaker:

Yes. Oh, my gosh. Yes. And I know in a minute, Meg, and actually, Meg

Speaker:

and Jenny, both have a super special offer for my listeners,

Speaker:

so hang tight. But, yeah, Meg, I love all the

Speaker:

workshops that you've done, and I've just seen and felt your passion for

Speaker:

these women and these moms, and it's just everything. So

Speaker:

I'm super, super happy to have you here speaking to my audience.

Speaker:

So. Great. Okay, Jenny, why should- I think everyone

Speaker:

needs to do your decluttering program, by the way. I think we all need a

Speaker:

bit of decluttering. Like, you can see me on video here behind me

Speaker:

might be tidy, but I can tell you there's areas off camera that

Speaker:

need some work. Like,

Speaker:

I am where you are. Like, if you're

Speaker:

struggling with feeling overwhelmed, I've been there. Or

Speaker:

I am there still in a lot of ways. So I'm all

Speaker:

about doing this realistically. Okay. We're not going to be creating

Speaker:

a Pinterest home here. This is

Speaker:

functional decluttering. And, yeah, I really

Speaker:

care about all of my clients. I'm someone

Speaker:

who wants to bring out the best in them to help support

Speaker:

them. And, yeah, that's, that's what I'm all about.

Speaker:

Really amazing. And, of course, you know, Jenny, I've worked with

Speaker:

you in advanced certification and now in master coach training.

Speaker:

So I've also seen Jenny for a while, and I see the

Speaker:

way that you, you give such care and

Speaker:

attentiveness to your clients needs. And, and just

Speaker:

knowing you, I'm so excited about this decluttering program.

Speaker:

So it's phenomenal. I am, too. Yeah.

Speaker:

Okay, so everything's in the show notes, but I'm going to have each of them

Speaker:

tell you about their super amazing offer. So if you're here

Speaker:

listening to this and you are interested in either one

Speaker:

of these amazing coaches or both,

Speaker:

Meg, tell them what to do. Tell them what you're offering.

Speaker:

Absolutely. I would love to invite any moms who are

Speaker:

looking to feel more capable in raising their kids, whether they're typically developing

Speaker:

or otherwise, to spend some time with me this summer. I would love

Speaker:

to be your mom mentor and spend some extra

Speaker:

special time together by scheduling a starting point session

Speaker:

with me. And during our conversation, if you mention Molly's

Speaker:

podcast, then I will give you a special bonus, which will

Speaker:

be that I'll add a one on one session where we will create your

Speaker:

own custom wellness calendar together so you can get

Speaker:

yourself ready to not lose your cool with

Speaker:

your kids this summer. Oh, my gosh. It's so amazing. And as Meg and

Speaker:

I were talking earlier, I was thinking what a great time to work with

Speaker:

you over the summer because there's like bringing in a little bit

Speaker:

of space during that time. The coaching isn't overwhelming.

Speaker:

It's not going to crowd out summer vacations. And I. I'm so excited about

Speaker:

that offer. So, listen, if you're interested in working with Meg, get on our calendar

Speaker:

and make sure to mention the podcast, because you will get that summer planning

Speaker:

session. And I'm hoping I can sneak on her schedule, too. So.

Speaker:

Yeah. Yeah. Okay, Jenny, how about you tell

Speaker:

them? What do they get? I've got an upcoming decluttering program,

Speaker:

which will be small group, but if you get on the waitlist for that, which

Speaker:

will be in the show notes, then before the end of May, if

Speaker:

you sign up onto that waitlist, you'll get a bonus one on one session with

Speaker:

me. So, which I'm really excited about. So,

Speaker:

so good. And Jenny does such great work with energy

Speaker:

and stress reduction and all of that. So, so

Speaker:

good. Thank you so much to both of you for being

Speaker:

here. I'm so appreciative. This is such a great episode. And to all

Speaker:

you moms out there, Happy Mother's Day. You're doing

Speaker:

amazing work. I'm going to speak for all three of us because

Speaker:

I know that they feel this way. We are sending you all the love

Speaker:

and all the support and cheering you on.

Speaker:

All right, thanks so much. I'll see you all

Speaker:

next week. Thank you. Thanks
