Shownotes

A meadow full of wildflowers, not one of them worrying about the others. Nine minutes on being one of them.

About 9 minutes with Steven Webb's calm voice.

Each flower blooms on its own without checking what the rest are doing. They know they are part of the field and they are still entirely themselves. They bend in the weather rather than fight it. If you get an itch during this, scratch it. No sense torturing yourself for ten minutes over an itch.

Treat me to a coffee, keep the podcast free, and get my Weekly Calm every Sunday. It is all on stevenwebb.uk

Thank you for sitting with me.

Steven Webb:

Welcome to the Wildflower Wisdom. Embrace your true self and build confidence meditation.

Steven Webb:

First of all, begin by finding a comfortable seated position with your spine up straight and

Steven Webb:

You can gently close your eyes or soften your gaze just a few feet in front of you.

Steven Webb:

And remember, during the meditation, it's not about being torturing yourself or being really uncomfortable. uncomfortable It's just

Steven Webb:

about being present and aware and focused. So if you do have an itch, you know, scratch it.

Steven Webb:

But do it mindfully. Be aware there's an itch. Or don't torture yourself. Don't sit there for the next 10

Steven Webb:

minutes thinking I'm trying to get rid of the itch or an uncomfortable. Just gently move and do it mindfully.

Steven Webb:

In a moment we're going to take a deep breath in and we're to hold it and then slowly breathe

Steven Webb:

out, whether it's through your mouth or your nose, totally up to you. So if we take a deep breath

Steven Webb:

in, hold it, hold, and just gently relax breathing out

Steven Webb:

And then allow your breath to be what it is.

Steven Webb:

You don't have to get involved with your breath. Your body's been breathing for many years without you getting involved.

Steven Webb:

It

Steven Webb:

knows how fast, it knows how deep you have to breathe.

Steven Webb:

Breathe in calm, breathe out relax

Steven Webb:

calm

Steven Webb:

relax.

Steven Webb:

As you breathe in calm and then relax, just remember the relaxing. It's just allowing your body to relax rather

Steven Webb:

than something you need to forcefully do.

Steven Webb:

Your arms and your shoulders and your face and your body knows how to relax.

Steven Webb:

You've just got to give it permission to do so.

Steven Webb:

You can relax now and just allow your body to do so.

Steven Webb:

Visualize yourself standing in a wildflower meadow,

Steven Webb:

surrounded by a sea of colours and scents.

Steven Webb:

As you take in the beauty of your surroundings, allow your mind to forever quieten down, and your body just

Steven Webb:

to continue relaxing.

Steven Webb:

In this meadow, you are free to be your true self.

Steven Webb:

You are unique,

Steven Webb:

just like the wildflowers around you.

Steven Webb:

You have your own beauty,

Steven Webb:

your own talents.

Steven Webb:

And your own gifts.

Steven Webb:

Take a moment to appreciate yourself for who you are, exactly as you are.

Steven Webb:

As you continue to stand in the meadow, notice the wildflowers swaying in the breeze.

Steven Webb:

Notice how they are strong and resilient, despite the changing weather and the conditions around them.

Steven Webb:

Just like the wildflowers, you are strong and resilient.

Steven Webb:

And notice how each one of the wildflowers blooms just by themselves and they're not worried about all the other

Steven Webb:

flowers around them.

Steven Webb:

They know they are part of the whole but they are individual as themselves.

Steven Webb:

And just like the wildflowers, you can weather any storm that comes your way because you have the wisdom

Steven Webb:

and the strength within you to persevere.

Steven Webb:

Embrace this inner strength. And let it build your confidence.

Steven Webb:

And on each breath in, feel the confidence building knowing that you can handle any situation that comes your way.

Steven Webb:

And do this by knowing you can do it in a relaxed, calm way.

Steven Webb:

Just like the flower, you're flexible but you're ready for anything.

Steven Webb:

And as you continue to bask in the beauty of the meadow, know that you are exactly where you are

Steven Webb:

meant to be.

Steven Webb:

You have a purpose in this world. And you are worthy of all the good that life has to offer.

Steven Webb:

And in a moment, we're going to take a deep breath and we're going to exhale slowly. And I want

Steven Webb:

you to bring back this confidence and this knowing that you are individual. You can be your true self, but

Steven Webb:

you can also be confident and resilient knowing that you can handle any situation.

Steven Webb:

So taking a deep breath and exhale slowly. And

Steven Webb:

as we count back from five, we'll gently open our eyes and return to the present moment. So five, four,

Steven Webb:

gently open your eyes, three, shake out your arms, two, one, and now you're in the

Steven Webb:

present moment. And remember that you are unique, you are strong, and you are worthy of all the things good

Steven Webb:

in life. Embrace your true self and let your confidence shine. Thank

Steven Webb:

you. I hope this meditation helps. I'm Steven Webb and I'm the host of Stillness in the Storms podcast. Head
