Segment 2: BIG Topic - Results Not According to Plan
Canadiens head coach Marty St. Louis said that this season would be defined by intent not results. Jeff Gorton and Kent Hughes have said that the focus should be on sustainable, long-term development.
The Canadiens are currently 20th in the standings which places them outside a top-10 pick in the NHL Entry Draft. This has been achieved with Joel Edmundson and Mike Matheson missing considerable time to start the 2022-23 campaign as well as learning that Carey Price will be unable to play this season.
