If your marriage seems off, but you don't know why, it's not because you're broken.
Speaker B:It's because you're missing one thing every thriving couple does daily.
Speaker B:And most couples completely ignore it.
Speaker A:After 33 years of marriage, we've learned that love just doesn't fade.
Speaker A:It just gets drowned out by the noise of life.
Speaker B:In this video, we're going to show you the daily routines that silently reconnect.
Speaker A:You before the disconnection turns into distance.
Speaker A:Let's dive in.
Speaker A:God designed your marriage to thrive, not just to survive.
Speaker B:So we are inviting you to thrive together.
Speaker B:It's a special Inspiring Marriages virtual event on September 13 for married couples and engaged couples and even singles who want to learn about godly marriage.

Speaker A:Teresa, let's talk about the power of daily marriage routines and how helpful they are to a marriage.
Speaker A:Number one, we got to verbally connect each and every day.
Speaker B:That's so true.
Speaker B:So we just need a check in every day, don't we?
Speaker A:Right.
Speaker A:Just two minutes of intentional check in keeps couples from drifting, doesn't it?
Speaker A:Teresa?
Speaker B:That's really good.
Speaker B:And it can be in the morning or it can be in the evening, whichever works better.
Speaker A:Whatever works better for you.
Speaker A:And it can be just, how was your day?
Speaker A:That can just reset the connection.
Speaker A:Or what was the best part of your day?
Speaker A:Or what have you been reading about in the scriptures?
Speaker A:Or what has God been showing you about our marriage?
Speaker B:Yes.
Speaker B:That's really good.
Speaker B:That's a really good one.
Speaker B:You may have to reserve a little extra time for what's God been showing you about our marriage.
Speaker B:But that's, that's really important because if you don't talk about that and you've been having little ideas of here's some things we need to address, or here's what's going great and here's what's not going so great, that could be a lot of time that passes, you know, with just a lot of daily things going on, weekly things going on, you may not be talking about your relationship much at all.
Speaker A:Right.
Speaker B:So you have to be intentional.
Speaker A:Be intentional.
Speaker A:So let's ask you a question.
Speaker A:Do you and your spouse have a must do routine that you do each and every day?
Speaker A:We want to hear about it.
Speaker A:You can drop it in the comments.
Speaker A:On YouTube.
Speaker A:Or you can send us an email at inspiringmarriagest.net we would love to see what other couples are doing.
Speaker B:That's right.
Speaker A:Number two, you got to touch.
Speaker A:You got to kiss each and every day.
Speaker A:That's small, simple physical gestures send a big emotional message.
Speaker B:That's right, they really do.
Speaker B:So everyone needs touch.
Speaker B:That is something.
Speaker B:That's a basic need.
Speaker B:Since you are a newborn baby, if you go without touch, you start getting emotionally starved.
Speaker A:Right.
Speaker A:Especially if one your spouse's love language is touched.
Speaker B:Oh yes, that would be sending the wrong message to them.
Speaker B:Like they're not very loved.
Speaker B:They're never getting any touch at all.
Speaker A:And husbands, remember, one of your wife's biggest needs is soft, non sexual affection.
Speaker A:She likes her hand be held.
Speaker A:She likes foot rubs, she, she likes shoulder rubs, neck rubs.
Speaker A:She likes that.
Speaker A:And hugs.
Speaker A:She like she likes hugs.
Speaker A:Touch is just a gentle reminder.
Speaker A:I still love you, you know, you're my chosen one.
Speaker B:That's right.
Speaker A:I desire you.
Speaker A:It really, it really goes a long way, doesn't it?
Speaker B:I think I've heard someone say it's like saying I choose you every day.
Speaker A:Right.
Speaker B:You know, I choose you again and again every time I touch you or hug you.
Speaker B:Yeah.
Speaker A:Make it a habit when one of you comes in the door, the other one stops what they're doing and goes and greets them at the door and gives them a hug.
Speaker B:Yes.
Speaker A:Make that a habit.
Speaker A:I mean, well, it's inconvenient.
Speaker A:Well, too bad.
Speaker A:Stop what you're doing, walk over to your spouse and give them a hug.
Speaker B:That really means a lot to feel like you're greeted instead of ignored when you come home.
Speaker B:That's very important.
Speaker A:Right.
Speaker A:A third routine that you need to incorporate into your marriage daily is you got to strengthen yourself spiritually.
Speaker A:Right, Theresa?
Speaker B:That is so true.
Speaker B:I mean, if it was important before you got married, it's even more important now.
Speaker A:Prayer and Bible reading fuel your growth and it just spills over into your marriage.
Speaker A:Right, Theresa?
Speaker B:It really does.
Speaker B:Yes.
Speaker B:Yes.
Speaker B:Because those scriptures that you're reading in the time of prayer that you're having is going to help you be grounded.
Speaker B:And you have wisdom for your day, you have wisdom for your relationship, you have wisdom together for doing what you're, what you need to with your children.
Speaker B:You know how to train them growing up in the Lord.
Speaker B:And it just, it's just going to bond you together even more if you're both reading the word, if you're both praying, whether it's separately or together.
Speaker B:But you know, even do that together too.
Speaker A:A spiritually healthier me builds a spiritually healthier we.
Speaker B:I like that.
Speaker B:Yes.
Speaker B:That is so true.
Speaker A:Right.
Speaker A:So you know, I can't give Teresa the things that she needs unless I am filled up spiritually.
Speaker A:The same thing with Teresa.
Speaker A:She can't minister to me the things that she needs to minister to me unless she is filled up spiritually.
Speaker A:Right.
Speaker A:Just set aside a convenient time every day, each morning or each evening.
Speaker A:Depends on your schedule.
Speaker A:What's going on in your life.
Speaker A:Even 10 minutes will change your day.
Speaker B:It really will.
Speaker B:That's so true.
Speaker B:Especially if you can remove distractions and really get concentrated and focused on the word and on a time of prayer.
Speaker A:That's right.
