In this episode, I’m joined by Heather McClellan, an Executive Coach and EQ trainer for a beautifully heartfelt and powerful conversation about what allows relationships (and the people in them) to thrive. We discuss how to go from being emotionally closed to becoming deeply embodied in our emotions + precise in how we communicate them, so we can experience more closeness with our partners.
In today’s episode, we cover:
The key ingredient that allows both work teams and romantic partners to be the most effective teams/couples
Why ‘depending’ on your partner is actually healthy (and hyper-independence is not)
The ONE question that changed Heather’s life (and how it can change your life too)
Heather’s journey from being ‘invulnerable’ and emotionally unexpressed to becoming a master facilitator of emotional intelligence and empathy trainings
How we can use the body + movement practices to develop relationship skills like expressing vulnerability, deciphering boundaries, and navigating new/challenging conversations
How to determine what you’re a ‘yes,’ ‘no,’ and ‘maybe’ to in your relationships (aka determining your values)
Heather’s declaration for the man/partner she’s calling in <3
