30th July of every year is World Day Against Trafficking In Persons.

United Nations Secretary General, Antonio Guterres, delivered a profound speech imploring people to desist from the 'use and abuse of technology' to exploit vulnerable persons via trafficking. Technology should instead be used positively in fighting human trafficking. Governments, regulators, businesses and civil society should invest in policies, laws & technology based solutions to combat, identify, support victims; as well as bringing perpetrators to justice. A safe , open and secure internet for all is needed.
