Shownotes

State of the Second goes off the legislative beat for a Thanksgiving roundtable. Hosts Kaylee and John sit down with two of GOA's own media people: Tiffany, the videographer behind the Minuteman Moment and host of One in the Chamber, and Ben, a federal affairs lobbyist who now fronts the Minuteman Moment. The episode is built around gratitude, the team's favorite moments from the year, and a steady stream of good-natured roasting aimed mostly at Ben. It's a look at the people behind GOA's content rather than a deep policy breakdown.

The conversation moves through the year's events and wins. The team talks about ShotShow, where members were surprised and happy to find GOA across the aisle from the ATF's booth, and a string of other outings including Lethal Weapons Texas, the Guns Out John Wick experience, and Naughty After Dark with Opie and the Smokies. On the policy side, Kaylee walks through the six coalition letters GOA assembled for the House joint resolution condemning the pistol brace rule, covering hunters, 2A influencers, industry, gun stores and ranges, sheriffs and police, and veterans. Ben pulls back the curtain on what reviewing bills like the NDAA actually looks like, including anti-gun staffers splitting the word gun so a control-F search misses it, and tracking statutes like 922 across stacked House reports.

The back half turns to the shows themselves and the mission. Tiffany frames One in the Chamber around activism and education, including how to talk to the relative who hates guns at Thanksgiving, while Ben describes the Minuteman Moment as the place for breaking news and legislative action. Both make the case for normalizing what a gun owner looks like and for GOA's no compromise position. They share favorite guns from the year, including Kaylee shooting a Barrett .50 cal, John firing a full-auto P90, and Ben on the Barrett and the Radian Ramjet. The episode closes with each person naming what they're thankful for, shout-outs to GOA's federal affairs, state and local, legal, and comms teams, and a reminder about members-only Black Friday deals.

Questions this episode answers

What is the difference between One in the Chamber and the Minuteman Moment?

Tiffany frames One in the Chamber around activism and education, including how to talk to relatives who hate guns. Ben describes the Minuteman Moment as the place for breaking news and legislative action.

How does GOA's federal affairs team find gun control hidden in large bills like the NDAA?

Ben explains that reviewing bills means tracking statutes like 922 across stacked House reports and watching for anti-gun staffers who split the word gun so a control-F search misses it.

What were the six coalition letters GOA put together for the House joint resolution on pistol braces?

Kaylee says Gun Owners of America assembled six coalition letters for the House joint resolution condemning the pistol brace rule, covering hunters, Second Amendment influencers, industry, gun stores and ranges, sheriffs and police, and veterans.

How do you talk to a relative who hates guns at a holiday dinner?

Tiffany makes this a focus of One in the Chamber, approaching the anti-gun relative at Thanksgiving through education and activism rather than confrontation.

What is GOA's definition of a gun rights activist?

The team makes the case for normalizing what a gun owner looks like and holding Gun Owners of America's no-compromise position. As Ben puts it, they are a bunch of gun nuts who all look like normal people.

What events did the GOA team attend this year and what stood out?

The team recaps ShotShow, where members were happy to find Gun Owners of America set up across the aisle from the ATF's booth, plus Lethal Weapons Texas, the Guns Out John Wick experience, and Naughty After Dark with Opie and the Smokies.

Why does GOA show up at events like ShotShow when it's a member-based organization?

At ShotShow, members came up happy to see the team and to talk with GOA's lawyers about current legal fights, all while the ATF's booth sat right across the aisle.

What were the team's favorite guns to shoot this year?

Kaylee shot a Barrett .50 cal, John fired a full-auto P90, and Ben named the Barrett and the Radian Ramjet as his favorites from the year.

Transcripts

Speaker A:

Welcome to Gun Owners of America State of the second podcast.

Speaker A:

I'm your host, Kaylee.

Speaker B:

And I'm John.

Speaker B:

And we have special guests with us today.

Speaker B:

Telecommuting.

Speaker B:

In we've got Tiffany and Ben.

Speaker B:

Tiffany from One in the Chamber, Ben from our Minuteman moment.

Speaker B:

Guys, how are you today?

Speaker C:

I'm great.

Speaker C:

Thank you so much for having me here.

Speaker D:

Yeah.

Speaker D:

Great to see you guys all again.

Speaker A:

So this is obviously right before Thanksgiving, the Wednesday before Thanksgiving.

Speaker A:

This is a very special episode for us because it's not every day that we get to do media with our GOA media team.

Speaker A:

And so basically this episode is just going to be about our favorite moments as G O A employees, our favorite battles that we fought alongside you, our members, and ultimately just going into the holiday season with a grateful heart for everything that you, our members, allow us to and accomplish alongside of us.

Speaker B:

Yeah, we are really thankful for all our members and everything they do for us.

Speaker B:

So let's start off with our memorable moments.

Speaker B:

Let's start with Ben over there.

Speaker B:

Ben, what are some of your memorable moments from this year?

Speaker D:

Oh, from this year, I thought we were talking about in general.

Speaker D:

Well, yeah, yeah.

Speaker D:

Well, for this year, I'd probably say it's going to shot show.

Speaker D:

It was a bunch of fun to be there, and I just become the Minuteman moment.

Speaker D:

So there's a lot of media.

Speaker D:

I'm glad my faithful camera assistant, Tiffany was also there to help me out and tell me if I was doing something wrong.

Speaker D:

Because it's 90% of the time I'm doing something wrong, but Tiffany's always there to check me.

Speaker C:

That is true.

Speaker A:

So, Tiffany, you've had quite the year, starting out as kind of the mastermind behind videography at GOA and making all of us look better each and every day.

Speaker A:

So thank you for that.

Speaker A:

So tell me how it's been to transition from behind that camera, the unsung hero, to now the leader of your own show.

Speaker C:

Yeah, I don't think many people actually know that, but I'm actually the videographer.

Speaker C:

I'm the one who does the video for all of goa's Minuteman moments.

Speaker C:

So that's previously Phil we used to have, which is.

Speaker C:

Phil was amazing.

Speaker C:

Now that is a running thing.

Speaker C:

Obviously, we miss Phil.

Speaker C:

And Ben is his replacement for the Minute Man.

Speaker C:

But Ben is great too.

Speaker C:

We love Ben as well.

Speaker C:

So it's been really awesome to be behind the scenes since then.

Speaker C:

I've always been there coaching with the script.

Speaker C:

I've been there doing the set design, and I've always just kind of Been behind the scenes.

Speaker C:

So it's super awesome be able to be a part of GOA a little bit more and have my own show.

Speaker C:

I really like being a part of this family.

Speaker C:

I feel like that's really what it is.

Speaker C:

I enjoy hanging out with you guys.

Speaker A:

I.

Speaker C:

And we'd also go on a lot of trips.

Speaker C:

I know recently I went to Chuteau in Utah with Ben and that was a great time.

Speaker C:

We filmed some stuff over there as well.

Speaker C:

And earlier this year going to Shot Show.

Speaker C:

I think one of my most memorable moments was being able to help out with a shoot with Classic Firearms.

Speaker C:

An interview we did in one of the rooms out at the Venetian.

Speaker C:

But I think that was a really great interview and I had a lot of fun hanging out with all of you guys and Ben and everybody else.

Speaker A:

Yes, that is.

Speaker A:

Listen, I love getting to go to Events.

Speaker A:

One, it's great as a staff because we get to come together and, and kind of get out of the, the day to day normal aspects of our jobs and hang out a little bit.

Speaker A:

But I think there's such a powerful thing that happens when we get to meet with our members, meet with our industry partners at events and kind of break out of the, the mold of what our job description looks like and get to have some fun out on the range, shoot a bit, talk with some people.

Speaker A:

Great things happen in those moments that I think are really raw and impactful long term.

Speaker C:

Yeah, I feel like honestly at Shot show, for example, plenty of people would come up to our booth and, and they're just surprised that we're there, which in itself it shouldn't be that way.

Speaker C:

Like we are a member based organization.

Speaker C:

So the fact that people are coming up to us and they're happy to see us and they're happy to be able to talk to us and talk to our lawyers about the crazy stuff that's going on while the ATF's booth is right across the way, across the aisle.

Speaker C:

I think that's, I think that's super awesome.

Speaker A:

No, a thousand percent.

Speaker A:

I think that's one of the coolest aspects about GOA is it doesn't matter what your position is.

Speaker A:

We all go to events, we all travel and I think our amazing attorneys really speak to the culture of Goa.

Speaker A:

And so we're always happy to have Stambo out at events.

Speaker A:

I'm not even going to attempt his last name, so it's fine.

Speaker A:

He's Stambo.

Speaker D:

Everyone knows him as stambo.stambo2a on Twitter too.

Speaker A:

Yeah, exactly.

Speaker A:

Yeah, he would have to, like, do the.

Speaker A:

The pronunciation, the side of his name, because I don't think I've said it right one time.

Speaker B:

I don't think I can even say it right.

Speaker B:

We get to go to a ton of fun events throughout the year.

Speaker B:

Ben, Tiffany, key highlights.

Speaker B:

What was the.

Speaker B:

The biggest thing that stood out to you at any of the events this year?

Speaker D:

Well, Tiffany, I'll let you go first, because I think my story's a little longer.

Speaker C:

Go ahead, Ben.

Speaker D:

So I was lucky enough to go to Lethal Weapons Texas that was put on by Sons of Liberty and also a few of the other guys down over there.

Speaker D:

Alana.

Speaker D:

It was really great to see the Sons of Liberty guys again.

Speaker D:

They're always great people to talk to.

Speaker D:

They're always helping lead the fight, and they're always interested in what's going on.

Speaker D:

But this time, I was actually able to compete with my Daewoo K2.

Speaker D:

And it was really cool to be able to walk around with a piece of history, a piece of my heritage, and talk to people and see and let people hold it because they're interested in something that I consider part of myself.

Speaker C:

Yeah, I think for me, as far as events, because the past events that I have gone to, I wasn't even one in the chamber yet, so going to the past events, I was mainly doing video.

Speaker C:

And.

Speaker C:

And the coolest thing for me, honestly, is being able to meet the other people who love guns, but they're also creative.

Speaker C:

Because it's really hard for.

Speaker C:

Especially me working in dc, it's hard for me to find people that do what I do, who are in video, in photography, they're interested in that, but also super experienced or knowledgeable on guns or politics or anything beyond those lines.

Speaker C:

So I think it's super awesome going to those events because I get to see everybody's equipment, I get to kind of judge their equipment, be like, all right, who's got the cool stuff?

Speaker C:

Who's kind of more of a noob?

Speaker C:

So be able to talk to those people.

Speaker C:

And then we're like, we'll be in the corner of the room fighting and talking about our camera equipment.

Speaker C:

And Ben's sitting in the corner.

Speaker C:

He's like, I have no idea what you guys are talking about.

Speaker C:

So it's very much for me, the camera world has really been the gun world for me as well.

Speaker C:

So being able to just talk to people and find other people who are interested in what I am, I think that's awesome.

Speaker A:

John, you're the newest person on our team.

Speaker B:

I'm very New.

Speaker B:

So.

Speaker A:

So tell us what it has been like joining the GOA team.

Speaker B:

It's been an adventure.

Speaker B:

Okay, so like, one week.

Speaker B:

Not even one week.

Speaker B:

One day after I started, I'm on a plane to D.C. to go hang out with these two.

Speaker C:

I didn't know that was your first day.

Speaker A:

That's.

Speaker B:

Yeah, it was.

Speaker B:

It was.

Speaker B:

I had one day on, then on the plane to D.C. to meet you guys.

Speaker B:

Then from there, we went to the Guns out event, which was fun to just kind of hang out.

Speaker B:

Got to shoot the John Wick experience, which was really cool to shoot in Black Light in the Dark and have all those pumping music.

Speaker B:

Not only that, but we.

Speaker B:

We did an event recent or in.

Speaker B:

In October, early November, whatever it was.

Speaker B:

We did Naughty After Dark with Opie and the Smokies.

Speaker B:

And it was just a cool experience because our booth became the hangout spot and we had all.

Speaker B:

We were the only two a group there, and everybody was hanging out in our booth.

Speaker B:

Just.

Speaker B:

We had like 10 to 15 people at our booth at a time just hanging out, chatting, talking.

Speaker B:

And I got the honor to fire the first shot for the mad minute, which is in itself an honor.

Speaker B:

You know, I've been to so many range days where I wanted to be that guy, and I got to be that guy.

Speaker B:

And it was cool because Opie acknowledged us as the only two A group there for.

Speaker B:

For that event.

Speaker B:

The other cool experience from that is that somebody had Oliver Anthony's song on and the entire place was singing it at once.

Speaker B:

And that was really cool in itself.

Speaker B:

I mean, I've done a ton of events in the past in the industry, but this is just.

Speaker B:

That's one of my favorite moments of being in this is.

Speaker B:

It's like number one out of everything.

Speaker A:

Yeah.

Speaker D:

I'm still a little jealous that you guys didn't invite me out for that one.

Speaker D:

I love Tennessee.

Speaker A:

I know.

Speaker A:

I know.

Speaker A:

But there is.

Speaker A:

I mean, we have to.

Speaker C:

You're not there yet, Ben.

Speaker C:

Yeah, you'll get there.

Speaker D:

I'm not big enough.

Speaker D:

I don't have the audience, like, ticking me.

Speaker B:

Nobody puts Ben in the corner, Tiffany.

Speaker A:

So taking a little bit more serious tone this year, we have seen just some amazing attacks on the Second Amendment and applauding our membership.

Speaker A:

You guys have really stepped up in incredible ways.

Speaker A:

Backed goa, backed the no compromise position at every turn.

Speaker A:

And there's no way that we can put into words what that means to our team and to those fighting alongside us in the House and the Senate.

Speaker A:

And so for me, I'm going to kick this Segment off.

Speaker A:

Right.

Speaker A:

So for me, the coolest part of my job was working to get the coalition letters for the House joint resolution condemning pistol braces and.

Speaker A:

And the attack that the ATF not only just viciously went after the brace, but viciously went after the American people.

Speaker A:

And for those that might have not been a G O A member at the time or may have not seen everything that was happening, we were able to put six coalition letters together for that House joint resolution.

Speaker A:

We had one for hunters, we had 1 for 2A influencers.

Speaker A:

We had one for the industry.

Speaker A:

We had one for gun stores and ranges.

Speaker A:

We had one for sheriff and police.

Speaker A:

We had one for veterans.

Speaker A:

I mean, these were incredible groups of people that stood up for our second amendment rights in such an amazing way.

Speaker A:

And that was in addition to all of the phone calls made and all of the emails sent from individuals.

Speaker A:

And so when I look back on this year, that is one of the most powerful fights that I, as not someone who's a lobbyist, not someone who lives in D.C. got to help aid our members in.

Speaker A:

And I am internally grateful that I was able to help in some way with that, with that cause.

Speaker C:

So, Ben, Tiffany, Sean, I feel like one of the awesome things about our role as more media and focus even on just on YouTube, we always tell people to comment.

Speaker C:

We always tell people to post on the GOA site.

Speaker C:

And that's something that people only hear that from YouTube.

Speaker C:

Like they're not gonna hear it from their friends and family.

Speaker C:

People don't talk about it.

Speaker C:

It's not in the news.

Speaker C:

Like D.C. to, I'm sure so many people sounds so far off and so sounds like such a small bubble that they're just not a part of, but it really is bigger than people think.

Speaker C:

And just Even watching our YouTube videos, like, we are directly connected to like D.C. we're here all the time, and we are the best people who can give you that information.

Speaker C:

Ben is on the Hill.

Speaker C:

He's complaining all the time about how busy he is.

Speaker C:

I don't know.

Speaker C:

I don't really see him on the Hill.

Speaker C:

I don't see him in these buildings.

Speaker C:

But he says he is so.

Speaker C:

He says he's extremely busy.

Speaker C:

And so.

Speaker C:

So he really is the best person who can relay that information on a YouTube show to the people across the United States.

Speaker C:

It's the best way for them to hear that information.

Speaker A:

No, I agree.

Speaker A:

And listen, I will sing Ben's praises and I will also sing the praises of all of our federal affairs team and our state and local team.

Speaker A:

I Mean, these people are actually on the ground.

Speaker A:

They are GOA employees.

Speaker A:

They eat, sleep and breathe the no compromise message.

Speaker A:

And so, Ben, I applaud your work, man.

Speaker B:

All these nice things.

Speaker D:

Even if Tiffany doesn't see me, I'm still there.

Speaker A:

Listen, I know who your boss is.

Speaker A:

You're definitely there.

Speaker D:

Yeah.

Speaker D:

No, I mean building off of that.

Speaker D:

It is interesting because I started off as a lobbyist.

Speaker D:

I interned at GOA in the Federal Affairs Department and then moved my way up.

Speaker C:

Ben's nickname was Policy when he was interning, by the way.

Speaker C:

I don't know if anybody knows Policy.

Speaker D:

Aid, thank you very much.

Speaker C:

I didn't know Ben's name for the longest time.

Speaker C:

I only ever call him Policy.

Speaker C:

And in my phone his name is Policy.

Speaker C:

Still to this day.

Speaker C:

Just saying, one day you'll be a real boy.

Speaker D:

He's a good guy.

Speaker D:

I've got a lot of nicknames.

Speaker D:

I don't know what to tell you.

Speaker B:

I feel bad.

Speaker B:

We're just picking on poor Beno.

Speaker D:

I'm always catching strays.

Speaker C:

I don't know why, but yeah, Ben, you were an intern and you're now a full time, full fledged Federal affairs person.

Speaker C:

So I think that is a pretty cool achievement to say you started from the bottom, got to here and like a Federal affairs employee.

Speaker C:

I think that's super cool, man.

Speaker B:

He sounds like a Drake song.

Speaker D:

Yeah, yeah, no, it's really great.

Speaker D:

It's awesome to be able to go to one part of my job, talk about these issues with congressional staff, with congressmen, with the people who are in the rooms making these decisions, and then relay that information out to our members.

Speaker D:

You know, that's really what we are.

Speaker D:

We're a conduit between talking between Congress and our members so that the message of the Second Amendment shall not be infringed gets everywhere.

Speaker D:

That's a really important part of what we do as GOA is not only telling people how to vote or like which bills are good, but also informing people about the Second Amendment and being that subject matter expert to be able to inform them on why their bill works or why their bill doesn't work.

Speaker A:

So I have a question.

Speaker A:

And obviously I know a little bit about your struggle with Federal affairs and it just being a constant.

Speaker A:

Listen, I don't know of any, any day that isn't hectic for you guys, right?

Speaker A:

There's just so much going on.

Speaker A:

But can we pull the curtain back on what it is like to have to review bills like the NDAA where they're hiding gun control and how that works?

Speaker A:

From your perspective?

Speaker A:

Because I don't think it's something that a lot of people see.

Speaker A:

They just see the alert go out on GOA and they take action.

Speaker A:

Right.

Speaker A:

And so you guys know what it's like to read those things and to understand them and break them down.

Speaker A:

Take us behind the curtain on that.

Speaker D:

Well, it's a lot of paper.

Speaker D:

You know, most of the time people think, oh, all you do is control F and like search for the word gun or the word firearm.

Speaker D:

And you know, while that is part of the job, there's also understanding the statutes and how they play with each other.

Speaker D:

We look for 922, which is like the NFA or the GCA and we'll find those mentioned.

Speaker D:

The anti gunners are quite sneaky.

Speaker D:

They'll try to sneak these words in.

Speaker D:

They'll try to cut off certain words so it doesn't say gun fully.

Speaker D:

It says gu n so that the control F function doesn't work.

Speaker D:

Even more than that, they'll hide these in the House reports.

Speaker D:

So it'll say, oh, everything that was agreed to in the House report is being agreed to here and is passed.

Speaker D:

So that means we have to go look through another set of 100 pages or whatever.

Speaker D:

And then, you know, maybe we'll find another report we have to look through.

Speaker D:

So there's all these different trees and it just keeps going and going and going.

Speaker D:

And that's really why, you know, we're here, is to do that work, to get that legwork, to find the issue, to find the source of the problem and then relay information.

Speaker D:

It's what makes us effective.

Speaker D:

It's what makes our members effective, is because they can point out to this very specific thing that we found and tell their congressman, hey, I don't like this.

Speaker D:

Let's get rid of it.

Speaker D:

Or don't vote for this.

Speaker D:

This is really bad for the second amendment.

Speaker D:

And that's really what we do here, is finding those issues.

Speaker D:

A lot of the time, you know, there's a lot of coffee being drank.

Speaker D:

I just had an energy drink before this one, but it's always.

Speaker D:

It almost feels like a 24 hour job.

Speaker D:

There's never enough time to do everything you want.

Speaker C:

What's your energy drink of choice?

Speaker D:

Ooh, right now it's bucked up.

Speaker D:

Okay, are we gonna have to bleep that?

Speaker D:

I don't know.

Speaker D:

No, I mean, hey, you can sponsor us.

Speaker D:

Bucked Up.

Speaker C:

They're not sponsored.

Speaker D:

Just keep sending me free, please.

Speaker B:

So buck Depp, if you're listening, please sponsor Ben and all of Goa Just Ben.

Speaker D:

Not even the Minute Man.

Speaker D:

Just Ben.

Speaker B:

No, it's cool to see.

Speaker B:

And me being from the industry side of things, before I started at goa, it's just cool to see the industry supporting us.

Speaker B:

Kaylee mentioned the industry coalition letters, and just talking to my friends in the industry and talking to them about me moving over to Goa.

Speaker B:

The response has been 100% positive.

Speaker B:

And I, I don't know what that says about us.

Speaker B:

I don't know if that's just because we're cool people or we do what we say we do, but, you know, it's.

Speaker B:

It's just cool to see how the community is responding to GOA as a whole.

Speaker B:

When we go to events and we do things and we're, you know, you're at the Hill and Tiffany's doing her show and Kaylee's here preaching on her soapbox.

Speaker B:

But yeah, she's over here shaking.

Speaker B:

But no, it's a good time.

Speaker B:

It's.

Speaker B:

It's good to see that we are doing what we say we're doing and we have a member base that supports us with everything we do.

Speaker B:

And Kaylee likes to say that was it the lead ammo ban.

Speaker B:

Most of the responses came from GOA members.

Speaker B:

What was it percentage?

Speaker A:

It was over 90% on the lead ammo ban.

Speaker A:

And you know, again, I'm gonna start sounding like a broken record, but this is the Thanksgiving episode, so I don't care how many times I say thank you and.

Speaker A:

But no, in reality, GOA members step up every time that there is a comment period.

Speaker A:

And that kind of stuff is so valuable.

Speaker B:

My favorite Minuteman moment so far, the Halloween special.

Speaker B:

What did I. I think.

Speaker B:

I think Ben might secretly be a fed, you know?

Speaker D:

No, no, no.

Speaker D:

He pulled it off.

Speaker D:

That's my evil cousin.

Speaker D:

No, we look a little similar, but he has much better facial hair than I do,.

Speaker A:

So.

Speaker D:

Wow.

Speaker A:

Okay, Go ahead.

Speaker A:

I'm waiting for you.

Speaker B:

What made you want to do that?

Speaker B:

It looked like you were having a good old time over there.

Speaker D:

Oh, yeah.

Speaker D:

Big shout out to Tiffany.

Speaker D:

We definitely came up with it.

Speaker D:

We're like, hey, what would be a good Halloween episode?

Speaker D:

I was like, oh, why don't we be the scariest thing you can imagine?

Speaker D:

And it's just this ATF agent with the thick broom handle, mustache and the fed shades on.

Speaker D:

And yeah, it was definitely a lot of fun.

Speaker D:

Tiffany had some creative license with the.

Speaker D:

What you call it, background.

Speaker C:

The books.

Speaker C:

The books.

Speaker C:

I changed all of the pro gun books that we have to anti gun books.

Speaker C:

It was very hard.

Speaker C:

But so if you watch the video and you actually look in the background.

Speaker C:

That was all me.

Speaker C:

I had so much fun.

Speaker C:

And then we took.

Speaker C:

I think we took Ben's gun and we safely secured it by wrapping it in masking tape.

Speaker C:

I think that was, like, the safest way you can store a gun.

Speaker C:

It makes sense.

Speaker D:

We also separated the bullets from the gun itself.

Speaker C:

Yes.

Speaker D:

You know, secured separately, of course.

Speaker C:

Yeah.

Speaker A:

Oh, my gosh.

Speaker A:

The amount of Easter eggs that you guys, like, hid in there, that is fantastic.

Speaker A:

I don't think anyone understands the depth of how detail oriented Tiffany is, and it makes her incredibly good at her job.

Speaker A:

And we're so thankful that we have her.

Speaker C:

Oh, thanks.

Speaker C:

That's so nice.

Speaker C:

I mean, I had more fun with it when Phil was around, but me and Ben have a good time in the studio, so I think it's good.

Speaker B:

Ben, I appreciate you.

Speaker B:

You have so much skill, Ben, and you are so great.

Speaker B:

We're so thankful to have you, Ben.

Speaker C:

I just hope everybody listening can meet us at one point because obviously we're a great time in the podcast.

Speaker C:

So if anybody's at Shot show, if anybody's at any of the events, because we're at all of them, find us, because obviously we're a good time.

Speaker A:

Absolutely.

Speaker A:

And so this is getting ready to go into Shot Show.

Speaker A:

I think one of the things that we need to kind of tease is the fact that, per your request, when we were asking people what they wanted to see, with Shot show and events going in the future, you will have a designated meet and greet time for all of the GOA personalities.

Speaker A:

And it's gonna be really sad when no one comes to see me, but that's okay.

Speaker C:

Or Ben, it's just a line for Tiffany.

Speaker C:

It's just Ben in the corner and nobody in line.

Speaker B:

Tiffany, I'll be in line for you, Tiffany.

Speaker D:

Yeah, thanks, John.

Speaker D:

I'll be in line for you too.

Speaker D:

Yeah.

Speaker D:

We can autograph each other's hands.

Speaker D:

Oh, yeah.

Speaker B:

100%.

Speaker A:

Tiffany and John are gonn the only ones that, like, people care about.

Speaker A:

And that's fine.

Speaker A:

That's fine.

Speaker A:

No, I. I love the camaraderie that we all have with each other.

Speaker A:

You know, obviously, State of the Second is a very new show for goa.

Speaker A:

So is one in the Chamber.

Speaker A:

And it's been so great to see positive responses and people recognizing that the shows are different and they're.

Speaker A:

They're touching different demographics.

Speaker A:

They're reaching out for those who may have not checked out.

Speaker A:

Minuteman moment.

Speaker A:

And one in the Chamber.

Speaker A:

I'm going to hand it over to the respective hosts to just kind of give a synopsis of your show and why people should tune in to listen.

Speaker C:

Ben, go ahead.

Speaker D:

You know, the Minuteman moment is the flagship program of Gun Owners America tv.

Speaker B:

Just knife in the back to all of us.

Speaker D:

Well, I had to get something.

Speaker A:

Oh, you did.

Speaker D:

You guys have just been roasting me this entire.

Speaker D:

Except for John, you know, Excuse me.

Speaker D:

Oh, and I do serve with the pleasure of the director of development.

Speaker D:

But, you know, and Mark Chamber person.

Speaker D:

I don't know.

Speaker A:

You didn't even say my old title, Rip.

Speaker D:

I'm sorry.

Speaker D:

I'll fully say it next time.

Speaker B:

You can say my title, but it doesn't mean anything.

Speaker C:

It's okay.

Speaker A:

It's.

Speaker A:

You know what's really interesting about the quote unquote flagship show of goa, The Minute man moment.

Speaker A:

So part of my job is working on the merchandising.

Speaker A:

And I will never forget when we made the Minuteman Moment patches and took them to our first event.

Speaker A:

And it was so unfortunate because no one who actually worked on the show were at the first two events where we actually had the patches.

Speaker A:

And it was so cool for people to come up and recognize the show and the logo and be like, wow, I love this.

Speaker A:

Like, it's so nice because I don't really like reading, you know, stuff on the web.

Speaker A:

Like, I just want to be able to understand something in a few minutes and it be entertaining.

Speaker A:

And I think that goes to the work that Phil did, the work that Ben did and does, and of course, the work that Tiffany does and our comms team and our whole federal affairs team.

Speaker A:

You guys revolutionized in so many ways, the way our members connect with us, and good job.

Speaker B:

I think we need, like, a Minuteman moment action figure of Ben.

Speaker B:

I mean, it would be small, but it'd be great.

Speaker D:

A little bit shorter than the rest of the action figures.

Speaker D:

Right?

Speaker C:

It's really unfortunate.

Speaker C:

I can stick needles in it.

Speaker D:

Poor Ben.

Speaker A:

That is hilarious.

Speaker A:

Yeah.

Speaker D:

Midnight moment.

Speaker D:

Voodoo doll.

Speaker D:

It's okay.

Speaker D:

I've developed a very thick skin just because Tiffany's been yelling at me for about two years now.

Speaker D:

I don't know if you know John, but I actually wrote the script before.

Speaker D:

So Tiffany and I, we'd watch Phil together and then make fun of him.

Speaker D:

And now I'm on the receiving end, so I don't know how I feel about this.

Speaker D:

It's like, that was me.

Speaker D:

Oh, man.

Speaker D:

Was I too mean to Phil?

Speaker B:

That's like hazing.

Speaker D:

Yeah, just a little bit.

Speaker B:

Just a little bit.

Speaker D:

Just a little bit.

Speaker A:

Oh, man.

Speaker C:

But Ben, give a harmless plug.

Speaker C:

You gotta tell everybody what your show is.

Speaker D:

I mean, the Minuteman moment is for breaking news.

Speaker D:

It's for legislative actions.

Speaker D:

It's for what's happening right now.

Speaker D:

And it's for taking that action to help, you know, me as a federal lobbyist.

Speaker D:

The more we can get the news out, the more we can inform people, the more they can contact their representatives, their senators, and talk about these issues and give us the grassroots support that we need to keep pushing forward the Second Amendment.

Speaker C:

Yeah.

Speaker C:

And then as a next step to that, I feel like I kind of piggyback off.

Speaker C:

A lot of what Ben does is also just educating and activism.

Speaker C:

So you have that Aunt Susie who kind of hates guns, and she's always going at it at Thanksgiving.

Speaker C:

It's like, how do you talk to her?

Speaker C:

How do you know how to talk about the current events that are happening?

Speaker C:

But in a way that's.

Speaker C:

You're backing up with facts.

Speaker C:

It's educational, like maybe you can actually convince them otherwise.

Speaker C:

So that's the purpose of one of the chambers, to give the kind of.

Speaker C:

The more activism side.

Speaker C:

And also what you, as just an everyday American living in somewhere in the middle of the usa, what can you do as a citizen to protect your rights?

Speaker C:

And a lot of that is going on goa's website, commenting during a notice and comment period.

Speaker C:

But again, also just talking to your friends and family and your crazy Aunt Susan at Thanksgiving, obviously.

Speaker B:

So what you're saying is that after they listen to this show, to go watch everyone in the Chamber and every Minuteman moment so they're prepared for Thanksgiving.

Speaker B:

Okay, start with Tiffany and then we'll work over to Ben and then.

Speaker C:

But when you watch Minuteman Moments, start at the very first one so you get to Ben last.

Speaker A:

One of the cool things about One in the Chamber is I think it's the first step and it's the action step to get that first range experience.

Speaker A:

If you watch One in the Chamber and you understand the activism features.

Speaker B:

Hold on.

Speaker B:

We lost Ben.

Speaker D:

There's Ben.

Speaker C:

You just gotta play it, Ben.

Speaker C:

Just play it off.

Speaker C:

Cause they can edit that out.

Speaker C:

Oh, my.

Speaker C:

You're killing me.

Speaker C:

Kayleigh, start over with what you were saying.

Speaker D:

I'm sorry, Tiffany just keeps distracting me.

Speaker D:

She's so mean to me.

Speaker A:

So what I like about One in the Chamber is Ben, you stop making that face.

Speaker D:

I can't.

Speaker D:

I'm doing the swap.

Speaker C:

That's his face.

Speaker C:

That's my face.

Speaker D:

I'm sorry, I can't make face.

Speaker A:

No, you were like, anyway, okay.

Speaker D:

No, this is like this.

Speaker A:

That is perfect.

Speaker D:

I'm trying to fix my.

Speaker D:

Like, you gotta have the resting, smiling face in the interview.

Speaker A:

Oh, I have.

Speaker D:

That's what Tiffany taught me.

Speaker C:

I have rbf.

Speaker A:

Yeah, I have resting face.

Speaker C:

Okay.

Speaker A:

Anyway, just.

Speaker B:

I'm sitting here smiling the whole time.

Speaker C:

Keely's like, I'm like this, the whole.

Speaker A:

All right, so what I like about one in the chamber is, it is the activism and the prep for someone's first range experience.

Speaker A:

And the reason I say that is you have to have a conversation with someone.

Speaker A:

You have to meet them with facts, you have to meet them with logic, and you also have to reach them with a certain amount of emotional value in order for them to be comfortable enough for you to take them on that first range experience.

Speaker A:

And you know, we talk about this a lot on our show, but that first, first range experience, if they leave with a positive experience, you are making a lifelong gun owner.

Speaker A:

And if you do the activism right, you are making a lifelong advocate for the Second Amendment.

Speaker A:

And so I really encourage people, especially if you are listening to this on Wednesday and you're about to go, you know, have that Thanksgiving dinner conversation with your crazy aunt Susie who absolutely despises the second Amendment.

Speaker A:

Take a minute, watch some of those episodes and what you'll do is you'll start reframing the.

Speaker A:

The arguments.

Speaker A:

Because you're not going to win an argument with this kind of, with this level of intensity with a tweet.

Speaker A:

You're not going to win it with a sound bite.

Speaker A:

You're going to win it by meeting them where they're at and showing them that they're coming from a strictly emotional state and not a logical state.

Speaker A:

You just won't.

Speaker A:

And that's what one in the chamber does.

Speaker A:

They do it effectively.

Speaker A:

Tiffany's fantastic, very entertaining.

Speaker A:

And I'm not just saying that because I work with her.

Speaker A:

I actually watch all of the videos.

Speaker A:

And so I think it's one of those things that it's well worth your investment.

Speaker C:

I love that.

Speaker B:

If you want to watch the news and very entertaining and happy go lucky guy, you gotta watch Ben.

Speaker C:

I don't know about the happy go.

Speaker D:

Lucky part, but, you know, just building off of what Kaylee's saying is a lot of people have this image of what a gun owner is in their mind, but if you look at this podcast right now, we're all a bunch of different people.

Speaker D:

We're all a bunch of gun nuts, but we all look like normal people.

Speaker D:

Well, except for maybe Tiffany Just throw it in.

Speaker A:

He's so proud of himself for making that comment.

Speaker D:

I was thinking about that for 30 seconds.

Speaker D:

I'm like, what can I say against Tiffany?

Speaker D:

No, I couldn't take it seriously, but.

Speaker C:

It's not even truthful.

Speaker D:

I am serious about the idea of normalizing what it means to be a gun owner.

Speaker D:

You know, we look around, when I talk to kids from my college, they have this image in their mind of like an evil gun owner owning an AR15, owning a suppressor, owning all these crazy things that they've heard up on the news.

Speaker D:

But then when I tell them like, hey, I own a suppressor, I own an AR15, I own all of these things.

Speaker D:

They're like, oh, wow, that's a really different.

Speaker D:

You're not exactly what I expected it to be.

Speaker D:

And that's exactly what our membership is made of.

Speaker D:

It's made up of normal Americans who just love their Second Amendment rights.

Speaker D:

And the more you can bring that and humanize the Second Amendment to, you know, your crazy Aunt Susan, your crazy Uncle Bob or someone like that and get them to realize that the Second Amendment is for everybody, the more fighters we'll have, the more activists we'll have and those anti gunners will just slowly start to fall away.

Speaker A:

Yeah.

Speaker A:

And to kind of go more in depth on, you know, why we take this approach at goa, why we choose to have the programs that we have, whether it is Second Amendment hunters talking to a hunting crowd that, let's be honest, traditionally hasn't been a very loud advocate for the Second Amendment that are now activating and saying, whoa, wait, now you're talking about taking hunter education out of schools.

Speaker A:

Now you're talking about banning lead ammo on public lands.

Speaker A:

The attacks by the anti gun left have gotten so targeted that every aspect of people within the Second Amendment community are now realizing it's my time to stand up and take personal responsibility.

Speaker A:

I know that everyone here can say goa's definition of a gun rights activist by heart now, but for those listening, I think it's worth going through it.

Speaker A:

And it's someone who takes personal responsibility, not only in the use of their firearms, but in the defense of their right to own them.

Speaker A:

And that's what makes our programs and GOA as a whole work.

Speaker A:

It's relying on you, our members, our activists, and empowering you as an individual to take that personal responsibility, whether you are a female and you are actively involved in our empowered 2A, whether you're a hunter, that maybe this is your first time caring about what they're Doing with, as far as infringements on the second Amendment.

Speaker A:

And I'm not looping all hunters into that, but, you know, traditionally there have been a gap between those that are highly involved and those who just hunt occasionally.

Speaker A:

And whether it is with our sister organization, with things like 2A defenders on college campuses, like Ben was talking about within GOA and what we're doing with individuals, it's focused and targeted on empowering you.

Speaker A:

And that's what makes us different.

Speaker A:

That's why we work and that's why all of us like going into the office every day is because it, it matters to us.

Speaker C:

Yeah, I could have said that better myself.

Speaker C:

That was awesome, Kaylee.

Speaker C:

I think, like regular people, it's like my, my parents, like my dad owns.

Speaker C:

My dad is a two way person.

Speaker C:

Like, he cares about his gun rights, but he's never been one to be like, what can I do about it?

Speaker C:

Since I've started with goa, he is a huge proponent of goa.

Speaker C:

He has a nice bumper sticker on the back of his car and he's replaced it with some of the other bumper stickers he used to have.

Speaker C:

And he's been handing them out to all of his clients too.

Speaker C:

So I think that is like, I couldn't have said that better myself.

Speaker C:

I think GOA gives a space for people to find a place to do something because most people don't really have anywhere to go.

Speaker B:

Ben, you got something to add?

Speaker D:

Sorry, say again?

Speaker B:

Do you want to add anything to that, Ben?

Speaker D:

I started off, didn't I?

Speaker B:

I don't know.

Speaker A:

All right.

Speaker C:

No, you didn't.

Speaker D:

No, I totally did.

Speaker D:

Come on.

Speaker C:

Okay, so almost the.

Speaker C:

Almost really good flow.

Speaker B:

I want to shift gears real quick.

Speaker B:

We've had such a cool year, all of us doing a ton of cool, different things.

Speaker B:

What has been the coolest gun you've shot this year?

Speaker B:

And I gotta ask this because I know Kaylee just shot the coolest thing last week.

Speaker A:

Oh, I'll lead this off.

Speaker A:

Yeah, I. I shot the bear at 50.

Speaker A:

It was, it was.

Speaker A:

It's pretty good.

Speaker A:

I'm.

Speaker A:

I'm pretty proud of my stuff.

Speaker A:

State.

Speaker A:

You know, the.

Speaker A:

The Barrett 50 cal is the rifle of the state of Tennessee.

Speaker A:

And I think they made an excellent choice.

Speaker B:

So go ahead and roll clip right here of Kaylee shooting the Barrett.

Speaker A:

The smile on my face afterwards.

Speaker A:

I was cheesing way too hard, guys.

Speaker B:

Oh, yeah,.

Speaker A:

That was fun.

Speaker D:

How many rounds did you send down range?

Speaker A:

Uno.

Speaker A:

They're expensive.

Speaker B:

She sent a.

Speaker B:

Our buddy gave her a silver tip, so she got to go shoot a Incendiary down our range.

Speaker A:

I think it's in the video.

Speaker A:

I think you can go look up on Mr. Big Kids YouTube channel.

Speaker A:

He invited us out for a gun review, and I got to shoot it.

Speaker A:

It was fun.

Speaker B:

Yeah.

Speaker A:

10 Out of 10 recommend, and I'm all 10.

Speaker B:

Well, I. I guess I'll save mine next.

Speaker B:

I got to shoot the full auto P90, and I finally got to live my Stargate SG1 dreams back in being a kid of the 90s.

Speaker B:

Ben can laugh at that because he's like, I know what that is.

Speaker B:

Tiffany's like, I don't know what you're talking about, but, yeah, it was cool.

Speaker B:

I got to actually shoot, like, bucket list, and now I want one, and I want nods and all that other cool stuff.

Speaker B:

But Ben.

Speaker D:

Ooh, it's tough, you know, Tiffany, why don't we send them over the clip of me also shooting the Barrett?

Speaker D:

Because that was a bunch of fun.

Speaker C:

Yeah.

Speaker D:

Going hot.

Speaker D:

Yeah.

Speaker D:

That got a lot of attention on social media for some reason.

Speaker D:

I was asking because I was.

Speaker D:

I shot three straight in a row, and, you know, it doesn't give as much kick as you'd think it would, but it was super nice to shoot that, but it's really hard.

Speaker D:

I can't pick a favorite because I love all guns all the same.

Speaker C:

Okay.

Speaker B:

Okay.

Speaker A:

That is so.

Speaker B:

Man, it's getting deep in here.

Speaker D:

I'm just so.

Speaker B:

Yeah.

Speaker D:

Everyone's like, ooh, go and pick one.

Speaker A:

I just love freedom so much.

Speaker D:

Dude, Minute man moment is so great.

Speaker D:

I'm not gonna have any offensive takes.

Speaker D:

I mean, the Radian ramjet was a bunch of fun shout out to those guys over at Radian, especially for partnering with us for the fourth of July.

Speaker D:

That was an awesome thing they did, giving away or selling those and also donating a portion of those profits to us.

Speaker D:

But no, it was really cool to use that and feel how much the recoil changed.

Speaker D:

It almost makes me feel bad that I didn't buy a Glock from my first pistol.

Speaker B:

What did you get?

Speaker D:

Oh, I got a CZ instead.

Speaker D:

I'm sorry, but it's super tricked out now.

Speaker D:

It's got an RMR on top, an extended mag.

Speaker D:

Well, it's perfect, man.

Speaker B:

Ben is a hipster.

Speaker D:

How hurtful.

Speaker D:

How dare you?

Speaker D:

How dare you?

Speaker A:

All right, Tiffany.

Speaker D:

I may or may not own more CZs, but who knows?

Speaker C:

My favorite gun, I believe, was most recently in Shoeta, the 240 Bravo.

Speaker C:

That one was awesome.

Speaker C:

We had to pay for the ammo, but it was totally worth it.

Speaker C:

And I also think back to kind of one of my favorite memories is when I got to film with Ben.

Speaker C:

I think one of the first times or second times we always like to have a little bit of fun.

Speaker C:

So one of the great shots we got.

Speaker C:

I think one of my shots as far as a video person is him running up and stabbing a watermelon and shooting in the air and watermelon juice all over my camera.

Speaker C:

That was super fun.

Speaker A:

So one of the coolest events.

Speaker D:

Wow.

Speaker A:

Gosh.

Speaker A:

So I'm spoiled because I get to go to a lot of.

Speaker A:

Of GOA events and some of the events that we're invited to are amazing, I would say for this.

Speaker A:

Well, I don't know if it's technically this year.

Speaker A:

One of the best events that I think I've ever gone to was with Fort Scott Munition and they had Chris Tonto from Benghazi do a training class and we had partnered with them on the Copper Ticket giveaway.

Speaker A:

And there were content creators and everyday people and we go out to the middle of nowhere, Kansas, and it's a beautiful town, amazing people, and we had the best time and getting to witness and we were tabling.

Speaker A:

So I, I didn't get the opportunity to, to actually train with Chris, but to watch him train people in handguns and rifles and, and the tricks and, and the things that he did revolutionized how I trained once I got back home.

Speaker A:

And I think that those are the kind of moments that you sit back and you're like, wow, this guy is an incredible trainer.

Speaker A:

And he would be like a bucket list class for me if I could go and take a week and just learn from him directly.

Speaker A:

Because those are the moments that you're like, wow.

Speaker A:

Not only did I get to have a great time at an event, but I learned something that will be valuable for the rest of my life as an individual gun owner.

Speaker A:

So that would probably be kind of my.

Speaker A:

My top tier event.

Speaker A:

I've been in really cool events, but training with him was insane.

Speaker B:

I mean, my coolest thing was hanging out with Ben.

Speaker A:

So I mean, gosh, such a bromance.

Speaker D:

My thing is always hanging out with John.

Speaker A:

Such a bromance.

Speaker D:

You're just such good friends.

Speaker A:

Gag.

Speaker B:

Hey, you guys have been picking on poor guy all day.

Speaker B:

I will.

Speaker A:

I complimented him five.

Speaker A:

I've complimented him at least five times on this interview.

Speaker C:

Oh, you have?

Speaker C:

You've said thank you so many times, Ben.

Speaker C:

I mean, it is Thanksgiving, but you've said it a lot.

Speaker B:

Hey, thank you.

Speaker C:

Listen.

Speaker B:

There you go.

Speaker B:

Thank you, Tiffany.

Speaker A:

I Call her an unsung hero.

Speaker C:

Why aren't you all acting like I.

Speaker A:

Haven't been hyping us up?

Speaker B:

Whatever we've been hyping up, this is gonna be so.

Speaker C:

You are such a good idea.

Speaker C:

The glue that holds us together.

Speaker B:

She is.

Speaker C:

Yep.

Speaker B:

She is the glue that holds us all together.

Speaker A:

Whatever makes us.

Speaker D:

Makes it all work.

Speaker D:

Oh, yeah.

Speaker B:

So it is Thanksgiving and we are sitting around our family table here with goa.

Speaker B:

So let's all go around and say what we're thankful for.

Speaker B:

And I am.

Speaker B:

I'll go first.

Speaker B:

I am thankful for this opportunity that I've gotten to join this team.

Speaker B:

Thankful for how welcoming you guys have been.

Speaker B:

It's been so far a fun experience from the.

Speaker B:

From the jump.

Speaker B:

I'm thankful for Ben and I's bromance over here.

Speaker B:

Tiffany's been great.

Speaker B:

Kaylee's been great.

Speaker B:

Fist bump.

Speaker B:

But yeah, no, I'm really thankful for the team.

Speaker B:

We have the team that's around us.

Speaker B:

We all support each other.

Speaker B:

We just like a family.

Speaker B:

We have our moments, but we all come out stronger and have a great time.

Speaker B:

So I'm gonna pass the mic to Kayleigh.

Speaker B:

Kayleigh, what are you thankful for?

Speaker A:

All right, we're gonna go in reverse order now.

Speaker A:

Gosh.

Speaker A:

So I am incredibly thankful for the team that we have at geohei.

Speaker A:

I think that our team has worked incredibly hard under an intense amount of pressure this year and it is really great to see the culmination of all of the work of our members, all of the work of our team towards a common goal and we're seeing success.

Speaker A:

Especially when you look at the movement that's been carrying across the country with constitutional carry and we see that we're winning.

Speaker A:

We're winning the fight for.

Speaker A:

For our rights.

Speaker A:

It's harder on the federal level.

Speaker A:

But the great thing about GOA is we're fighting at every level that tyranny can happen and it's been great to see the ground swell.

Speaker A:

And then on a personal level, I'm just incredibly thankful for my family.

Speaker A:

It's been an amazing.

Speaker A:

It's been an amazing difficult year and very blessed to be where we're at now.

Speaker A:

And I thank you from the bottom of my heart.

Speaker A:

All of you guys on GOA that have been incredibly supportive of me and my family because we needed it this year.

Speaker B:

You had to bring family into this.

Speaker B:

And now I look like an not saying I'm thankful for my wife.

Speaker B:

So let's go.

Speaker B:

I am thankful.

Speaker B:

I am thankful for my wife for supporting me in this move.

Speaker B:

I also want to give a special shout out to our board of directors, our Director of comms, Felicia.

Speaker B:

Felicia.

Speaker B:

Without Felicia, we wouldn't have such a presence on all our social media.

Speaker B:

I gotta give a shout out to our VPs as well, Eric Pratt and John Vallecco.

Speaker B:

If it wasn't for those guys and.

Speaker B:

And everybody on staff, we.

Speaker B:

We wouldn't be able to function as well as we do.

Speaker B:

So I want to give a shout out to them if you guys want to chime in.

Speaker A:

Yeah.

Speaker A:

Also, big thank you to Chris Stone and Michael Census, our state and local team, Aiden Johnson and everyone in Federal affairs who work so hard on that team.

Speaker A:

Obviously Ben's a part of them, so he's a little biased.

Speaker A:

Our legal team, and ultimately each and every GOA member, we're so incredibly thankful for you, the team that works on our show, and one in the chamber Minuteman moment.

Speaker A:

There's so many people behind the scenes.

Speaker A:

And I also want to personally take a moment to thank all of the companies that have partnered with GOA to bring our podcast to life, as well as that truly support the no compromise mission.

Speaker C:

Yeah, I think I'm just incredibly grateful for just even the opportunity to sit here.

Speaker C:

the Minuteman moments back in:

Speaker C:

And I never would have thought that I would be sitting in this chair, be able to be a person that is a part of Gua and able to share the message of no compromise.

Speaker C:

So I'm just grateful for that.

Speaker C:

And of course, course, meeting all of you and all of my new friends that I've been able to meet along the way, I think it's absolutely amazing.

Speaker C:

And the opportunity to go to shot show and all of these events, it's the coolest thing.

Speaker C:

I am, like, my parents are, like, enthused.

Speaker C:

They love it.

Speaker C:

But I think what Kaylee says, just about family and just about us being able to come together and do something that matters, I think somebody who's kind of like, I've always kind of been on the outside looking in, into this gun movement and the things that have happened over the years.

Speaker C:

And it's, I think, a really big part of what GOA does is that we actually do stuff.

Speaker C:

And it's so cool to be on the inside of it now and be able to see what you guys are doing and how it's actually working.

Speaker C:

And so I think that's just like, that's just an opportunity within itself that I'm super thankful for and I'm glad I can relay that information and Relay that message to everybody across the world.

Speaker C:

If anything.

Speaker B:

Well, I'm glad that we're all thankful.

Speaker B:

I think that's it.

Speaker B:

I think we don't need any more comments, right?

Speaker B:

Are we good?

Speaker A:

Let Ben go.

Speaker C:

I think that's it.

Speaker A:

Let Ben go.

Speaker B:

All right.

Speaker A:

Poor guy.

Speaker D:

I mean, everyone stole all the good ones.

Speaker B:

So, Ben, from you, buddy.

Speaker D:

You know, just like everyone else has said, I'm thankful for the GOA team.

Speaker D:

I'm thankful for my family.

Speaker D:

And then building a little bit off of what Tiffany said, I'm thankful to have a job where I can see the immediate results of my action.

Speaker D:

Like Tiffany said, again, looking from the outside in, it's hard to see this incremental movement we're making and how our fights for our rights keeps going.

Speaker D:

And you get the updates from me and Tiffany all the time.

Speaker D:

But being in this world, being inside the beltway, on Capitol Hill, you can see your actions making a difference every single day.

Speaker D:

Even if it's small stuff, whether it's a staff or saying, oh, the pistol brace ban, rather than, can you explain what this rule's about?

Speaker D:

Or, you know, we're voting on unbanning lead ammo on federal lands, or we're voting on defunding the ATF and defunding all their rules.

Speaker D:

It's all these little victories that eventually snowball into something much bigger and much greater.

Speaker D:

And that's why I'd say, just don't give up and keep commenting.

Speaker D:

Keep contacting your congressmen and representatives and talk to them.

Speaker D:

And because these small victories do build up into something bigger.

Speaker A:

Absolutely.

Speaker B:

I couldn't have said that better.

Speaker A:

Yeah.

Speaker B:

That's a great way to go, Ben.

Speaker A:

Good job.

Speaker B:

Good job, Ben.

Speaker D:

Hey, let's all be first time with our attorneys.

Speaker D:

I love you, Stambo.

Speaker B:

Yeah.

Speaker A:

And Rob and the whole thing.

Speaker A:

The whole legal team.

Speaker A:

Yes.

Speaker A:

So, so thankful for that.

Speaker A:

Well, thank you guys for listening.

Speaker B:

Hold on.

Speaker A:
