What do you keep—and what do you let go of?

In this game segment, The Fondle Project founder Gina Lamanna is put on the spot with a series of unexpected choices—forcing her to reveal how she really thinks about relationships, identity, control, and what actually matters now.

Some answers are instant. Others… not so much.

We’re switching things up.

In this game of “You Can Only Keep One,” Gina Lamanna has to make quick, instinctive choices between two competing ideas—no overthinking, no perfect answers.

What unfolds is a glimpse into how she sees her life now—what she values, what she’s let go of, and what’s changed in ways she didn’t expect.

It’s lighter, faster, and a little more revealing than you might think.

Roxy Manning:

Total independence or a relationship where someone really shows up for you.

Gina Lamanna:

I'm very independent. However, it's really lovely to have a partner or somebody to show up for you.

Roxy Manning:

Peaceful and predictable or exciting, but a little unstable.

Gina Lamanna:

Exciting and unstable.

Roxy Manning:

Just to have that little fire. Huh?

Gina Lamanna:

I feel the most sexiest in a white T shirt and sweatpants and my flip flops.

Roxy Manning:

You can be stylish as fuck in a white T shirt and denim. I was so afraid of not being liked for so long, and now I'm.

Gina Lamanna:

Like, I don't need to prove myself to anybody.

Roxy Manning:

This game is called you can only keep one. So I will give you a scenario and you tell me which one you would keep being deeply understood or being slightly mysterious.

Gina Lamanna:

Mysterious, I guess. I think, yeah, today I think I'd want to remain a little mysterious.

Roxy Manning:

Why not? Why not? Total independence or a relationship where someone really shows up for you.

Gina Lamanna:

Hold on. Really? I gotta choose between the two?

Roxy Manning:

These are gonna be hard, but I know you've got it.

Gina Lamanna:

But wait, Roxy, hold on. I mean, we're all about being independent. We're strong, powerful women. And I'm strong. Very independent.

However, it's really lovely to have a partner or somebody to show up for you, including my ex husband, as you can see. Like, I love that. His nickname. Cabana boy, you know? Shit, I gotta choose. Okay, I'm gonna say independence.

Roxy Manning:

Independence. Yeah. Yeah, I know. We can't not. It's too hard.

Gina Lamanna:

And we have daughters. Like, I want them to be these strong, independent women that we do not need to lean. We.

We can accept and welcome help, which I love and is helpful, but we want to raise strong, independent women that they are capable of anything that comes their way and that they can change a light bulb.

Roxy Manning:

You know what? When in doubt, we always blame it on our daughters.

Gina Lamanna:

Exactly. This is all for you. Yes.

Roxy Manning:

Yeah, exactly.

Gina Lamanna:

Okay.

Roxy Manning:

Peaceful and predictable or exciting. Exciting, but a little unstable.

Gina Lamanna:

Oh, exciting and unstable.

Roxy Manning:

Right. Just to have that little fire, huh?

Gina Lamanna:

Right now, I am super fun, vibrant, exciting, excited. But, like, I'm also a bit. There's some instability with me right now between midlife hormones, the unknowns of building something, and transit.

But there's some instability. So, yeah, I'm gonna go with that.

Roxy Manning:

Looking exactly how you want or feeling completely at home in your body.

Gina Lamanna:

Completely at home with my body.

Roxy Manning:

Yeah. I would imagine for you especially, like, as a stylist.

Gina Lamanna:

People are always surprised to hear this and we can wrap up is people think I love. I mean, we all love getting dressed up. Of course. I love Getting dressed and going to an event.

But I feel the most sexiest in a white T shirt and sweatpants and my flip flops. That is me. I'm the most comfortable fresh face, like just. Or in jeans and a T shirt versus some of my. A killer little black dress and heels.

Roxy Manning:

I know. I love a denim like that. That is my go to as well. And by the way, you can be stylish as fuck in a white T shirt and denim. Like, for sure.

More than like design. Like all the things. For sure.

Gina Lamanna:

And a red lip. The way that you rock a red lip.

Roxy Manning:

Oh, thank you, honey. Okay, I won't keep you much longer. I just have one last one. People liking you or people respecting you?

Gina Lamanna:

Respect.

Roxy Manning:

Respect is where it's at, right?

Gina Lamanna:

Honey, we're at the zero fuck state in our life. Like, if you don't like me. Look, I am not for everyone. People are going to be watching. Like, I'm not for you. And that's totally okay.

And it's taken me years to be okay with that. And it's okay that you don't like me. I really don't care. But you, you absolutely. I want respect. You don't like me, that's fine.

And there's a lot of people that don't like me, and that's totally okay.

Roxy Manning:

And you know what? We will survive. Like, I was so afraid of not being liked for so long, and now.

Gina Lamanna:

I'm like, we all go through that for years and we want to be, you know, the fomo. We want to be included and all this stuff. And I think you just get to a point in your life. At least I did. I don't know, maybe eight, nine years ago.

I was like, shit, I don't care if you don't like me. I have my girl gang. I. I know who I am and all my quirks and, you know, insecurities and my, you know, weirdness, and that's totally fine.

You don't like me. That's totally cool. I don't need to prove myself to anybody.

Roxy Manning:

Yes. There's something that midlife and like perimenopause and all these things, like, things open up in a different way and you're like that.

Gina Lamanna:

Exactly right. And you go through all these things, you're just like. And again, going back to. I'm going to lean into cancer for a second. Like, I can't.

Like, that does not. Like, I don't care. Like, it doesn't. Doesn't bother me. The zero Fox era. And I love that. Now who Penned that or started that.

But I am truly in the zero fox era. Like I don't even let things. It could be the hormones or two.

Now that I think about it, like the, the HRT that I'm on, like, I don't let things get to me like they used to.

Roxy Manning:

I'm just like, all right, you let it roll off. You don't get as triggered.

Gina Lamanna:

Right.

Roxy Manning:

There's something so lovely about that. That's a gift, like not getting triggered in the same way.

Gina Lamanna:

We need to teach our daughters that like sooner, later, because you know they're going to go through all these things wanting everyone to like them and it's, it's, it's hard.

Roxy Manning:

Yeah, it is. It's really hard. It's really hard. But that's what we're here for. That's what we're doing and we're going to rock it.

Gina Lamanna:

Yep. This is so good. I love that I got a chance to talk to you again.

Roxy Manning:

I love that now we have to be meet in real life so we can hang out again.

Gina Lamanna:

Closet. Yes.

Roxy Manning:

Oh my God.

Gina Lamanna:

That would get back from my trip. Maybe this summer if you're around when you wear in the bats in the east coast, are you going to so.

Roxy Manning:

Going to Nantucket and New York in the Hamptons. Just going to do a little sweep. Just a little sweep over there. I'm ready.

Gina Lamanna:

I love it. Yes, I'm ready.

Roxy Manning:

There's something nice about going back to the east coast, you know, I mean, you're from there originally, right?

Gina Lamanna:

Yeah, I'm from a small town called South Jersey, but I went to school in New York as well. But yeah, it's east coast summers are amazing.

Roxy Manning:

Yeah, it's a different vibe. It's a totally different vibe.

Gina Lamanna:

Right. East coast has a completely different vibe.

Roxy Manning:

It's really nice to go back and like have a piece of that.

Gina Lamanna:

Do you have family there?

Roxy Manning:

So my husband is from Boston originally, so we're going back actually one of his friend's daughters is getting married in Nantucket. So we're going to go there for the wedding and then we're going to go to the city and then do the Hamptons. So I'm like, good for you.

Gina Lamanna:

Enjoy it.

Roxy Manning:

I thank you. Thank you. And you have an amazing trip coming up as well.

Gina Lamanna:

Portugal. I'm excited. It's actually my first vacation with him in like three plus years, just the two of us.

We've traveled quite a bit, but I always have my daughters in tow. And this is our belated five year anniversary gift. Like our celebration, so. But by the time we go, we're going to be together six years, so.

It's hilarious, but it's all good. I'm really looking forward to it.

Roxy Manning:

You know what? Late is better than never, so. Totally down with it.

Gina Lamanna:

Exactly.
