Shownotes

In this episode of Courage for Pain podcast, Becky Curtis, founder and CEO of Take Courage Coaching, talks with Jim, a minister from New York who struggled with chronic shoulder pain until he learned the tools to manage his life and his chronic pain...

Jim says, "My main emotion was fear. I was so angry for so long that it was hard to allow the emotions to catch up to things that were actually working."

Becky and Jim discuss that he wanted to feel good about giving up, even though deep down he really didn’t want to give up.

We all want quick results...instant coffee, instant everything. If we really want our bodies to heal themselves we have to allow healing in the body's time frame.

Managing chronic pain is a battle. One of the hardest battles you will ever face in life. You will fight all levels of discouragement. It might get worse before it gets better. It's not what we would choose, but we have it.

You have to dig down deep to levels of courage you didn’t think you have. It's in there...deeper than you think it is. There is more to YOU than you think there is.

Winston Churchill said "Never, never, never give up!"

It may take longer than you want, but you CAN get your life back.
