Those are some of the last words from Elijah McClain as he was killed last August in police custody. Elijah McClain's death struck a DIFFERENT chord with be me as parent to a Black male child that many in this world will view as being DIFFERENT. I am DIFFERENT yet in the eyes of some, we are threatening, which makes us ALL THE SAME.
