Shownotes

For years, I thought becoming a better version of myself meant striving harder, fixing what was wrong with me, and proving that I was worthy of the life I wanted.

But through my own journey of healing, faith, and personal transformation, I discovered something that completely changed the way I live: I don't have to earn what God has already made available to me.

As I learned to renew my mind, heal old wounds, and understand my identity in Christ, I began experiencing a level of peace, freedom, confidence, and abundance that I had spent years trying to achieve through performance.

Now, as a Christian life coach and YouTube creator, I help believers make that same shift — from striving, performing, and living from fear to actually receiving the life Jesus came to give them.

My conversations are especially powerful for audiences who love God but still find themselves stuck in overthinking, insecurity, self-sabotage, people-pleasing, scarcity, or the feeling that they have to work harder to become "good enough."

I bring a perspective that bridges faith, psychology, identity, mindset, and practical transformation in a way that is honest, relatable, and deeply applicable.

Or this one (please choose which one you prefer).

Vincent is a 24-year-old German-Latvian entrepreneur and coach. His own transformation from a fearful, slave mentality to the confidence of knowing he's loved as a son became the foundation for the coaching business he now runs, helping others make that same shift. He walked away from school to go all-in on this calling with no backup plan, and now shares that message through one-on-one and group coaching and a growing YouTube channel focused on faith, identity, and breaking free from fear.

Speaker:

Praise God for you, Vincent.

Speaker:

It's a great pleasure to connect with you.

Speaker:

What part of the world are you in today?

Speaker:

Yes, it's my pleasure as well.

Speaker:

I'm in Latvia right now.

Speaker:

And you're born in Latvia?

Speaker:

I was actually born and raised in Germany, but I moved to Latvia around eight years ago, and my whole family is from Latvia.

Speaker:

Wow, that's very cool.

Speaker:

Well, again, as I mentioned before, I firmly believe you're the first person from Latvia.

Speaker:

And as you know, or don't know possibly, but the goal is really to have a conversation with a Jesus believer in every country of the world.

Speaker:

So thank you for coming through.

Speaker:

Yeah, yeah, I do know that actually, I read about it.

Speaker:

And yeah, I'm glad to be a part of your mission.

Speaker:

Yeah, thank you.

Speaker:

Now, you know, even listening to you on your channel, your YouTube channel, I was wondering, what accent does Vincent have?

Speaker:

Have you got that a lot?

Speaker:

Were you able to find it out?

Speaker:

I wasn't.

Speaker:

It was, I definitely wouldn't have thought German, yeah?

Speaker:

Yeah.

Speaker:

Of course, I'm not accustomed to Latvians.

Speaker:

Yeah, yeah, no, I definitely don't have a Latvian accent.

Speaker:

And I'm happy to hear that I don't have a German accent when I'm speaking English, because yeah, I like to stay away from that as much as possible.

Speaker:

It is almost American in the rhythm of how you speak, but not in the twangs, not in the...

Speaker:

Thanks, bro.

Speaker:

Yeah, I appreciate it, though.

Speaker:

Who did you practice with?

Speaker:

How did you get to know English as good as you do?

Speaker:

Well, again, thank you.

Speaker:

I mean, I have a bunch of friends from the US, and I have been involved with missionaries to Latvia and to Europe from the US.

Speaker:

So I've had plenty of practice throughout the last five years with, yeah, native English speaking people.

Speaker:

And before that, growing up in Germany, we had really good English lessons at school.

Speaker:

And I've always been very interested in English literature and books.

Speaker:

And so I think that's why I got loads of practice.

Speaker:

Only when you said practice, I heard a bit, very little, little, little, yeah, a tinge.

Speaker:

So I guess as you get comfortable in speaking, I may just get some little bits of the evidence, yeah?

Speaker:

Yeah, I mean, well, excuse me.

Speaker:

Again, I love it when people think I'm from the US or something like that, because it honors me.

Speaker:

It feels great to be able to speak a language that's not your mother's tongue, so to say, at a level where people think, well, this is actually really good.

Speaker:

You're good at that.

Speaker:

So I'm always happy to hear that.

Speaker:

So tell me, how did you meet Jesus?

Speaker:

So I grew up believing in God, but my family wasn't very religious, or my parents didn't really go to church.

Speaker:

We had a very quiet belief in God.

Speaker:

But there was a point in my life where I was really looking for my purpose, because one of my mentors at that time said, Vincent, you've got to find your purpose in order to have a good, like a huge impact on the world.

Speaker:

And as I was looking for my purpose, I started getting really depressed, because I realized, man, I don't even know what this life is about.

Speaker:

I don't know what I'm here to do, what I'm supposed to do.

Speaker:

And so that's when I came across a YouTube channel and an Instagram account by someone else.

Speaker:

And he only had a few, like a couple of hundred followers or something like that.

Speaker:

And I reached out to him, telling him about some of the struggles that I had at that time.

Speaker:

And he was the first person in my life to ever really listen to me and to kind of acknowledge that what I was going through was real, and that there was a spiritual component to it.

Speaker:

And so he asked me if I read the Bible, or if I read the Bible, and I said, well, no, honestly, I haven't really.

Speaker:

So I started reading the Bible, and that was right after I moved to Latvia in 2018, I think, or 2019.

Speaker:

And so I started reading the Bible, and as I was reading, yeah, just things started changing in my life so much.

Speaker:

And God started setting me free from like addictions, and just this endless loop of just not knowing who I am.

Speaker:

And that was really powerful.

Speaker:

And shortly after that, I went on a Daniel fast, I'll be honest, I'll admit it.

Speaker:

Because another YouTuber talked about fasting and the benefits of fasting.

Speaker:

So I went on a Daniel fast.

Speaker:

And the YouTuber and preacher said, hey, when you fast, come to God with like a request, like have a reason why you're fasting.

Speaker:

And so I came up with two reasons why I was going to fast.

Speaker:

Number one, I wanted to get a job.

Speaker:

And number two, I wanted to get Christian friends, because I didn't have any Christian friends at that time, people that I could lean on and learn from.

Speaker:

And guess what happened?

Speaker:

About two weeks after I started fasting and praying, I got a job, which was pretty crazy, because I was only like 16 years at the time in a really small city.

Speaker:

And it was at the job where I met Christian friends, the best Christian friends I've ever had and missionaries at that time.

Speaker:

And so that was absolutely flabbergasting and insane to me, because that was such a God thing.

Speaker:

Like, how is it possible that I get a job as a 16 year old in a 40,000 people city and meet Christian friends, missionaries, five of them, I think, at that coffee shop where I used to work at.

Speaker:

And that's how I got to know Jesus.

Speaker:

And yeah, the rest is history, so to say.

Speaker:

So yeah.

Speaker:

I've been seeing the pattern of how you get saved being tied to your purpose.

Speaker:

I've been seeing that pattern, yeah, that reoccurring pattern.

Speaker:

So for example, well, from your bio, from the preparation for this conversation, you're coaching.

Speaker:

But ideally, a YouTube coach is who is responsible, yeah, for you coming to Christ.

Speaker:

Yeah, in many ways, yeah.

Speaker:

Yeah, you get these almost signs.

Speaker:

And you know, I've been saying that while having these conversations, and it's only yesterday that I was thinking to myself, wait a minute, what was my encounter?

Speaker:

And how did I get free?

Speaker:

And what do I do that surrounds that to fulfill the full circle, right?

Speaker:

And truly, my friend, I was high, yeah?

Speaker:

So yes, at the time, addicted to marijuana.

Speaker:

And yeah, it was actually an encounter with the Holy Spirit that got me away from that.

Speaker:

Yeah, no, I did fall after a couple times back into using using marijuana.

Speaker:

But over time, it was the first time I actually got free for the longest time to this day.

Speaker:

Yeah.

Speaker:

So I only just realized while we were speaking that I need to tell more people that story.

Speaker:

Yeah, yeah.

Speaker:

Thank you for how you present and represent and and fill a space for others to get clarity.

Speaker:

Do you get that often?

Speaker:

Um, I don't know if I get that often.

Speaker:

But I know that what you said is completely true and entirely true about, you know, those patterns.

Speaker:

And I've reflected on that myself.

Speaker:

How, yeah, the ways that we get saved and the ways that we get to encounter the Lord are really, they're going to shape us in ways and carry us.

Speaker:

And so you mentioned marijuana.

Speaker:

I can also say that I at the time when I was looking for my purpose, I also dabbled in marijuana for about two years.

Speaker:

And so I can very much relate to what you're talking about with.

Speaker:

Yeah, just that that experience.

Speaker:

Yeah, it was tough.

Speaker:

I did a lot more than two years.

Speaker:

But it I would imagine that it's a competitive thing, even though I'm very competitive, right?

Speaker:

But yeah, but it really got me like I could not get away from it.

Speaker:

And even though my will was what I would imagine is strong, right?

Speaker:

I could not get away from it.

Speaker:

And, you know, not for the love of self.

Speaker:

But really, the love that God had for me really set me free.

Speaker:

Like he would save me from situations.

Speaker:

Yeah, like there are places.

Speaker:

So I love the fact that one of the things that you mentioned was important for you and the Daniel fast was meeting Christian friends.

Speaker:

That's and that's so powerful.

Speaker:

Yeah, because it provides accountability.

Speaker:

It also provides an opportunity for you to change your environment, no matter where you are spiritually, doesn't it?

Speaker:

Oh, 100%.

Speaker:

I mean, that's why I prayed for Christian friends, because I knew that I was not going to be able to take on this journey myself like alone.

Speaker:

I really wanted friends.

Speaker:

I really wanted people who can help disciple me and help shape me into a follower of Jesus.

Speaker:

And so, yeah, when I found them and they started teaching me and I started attending weekly Bible studies in a very intimate and small group setting, oftentimes one on one or in groups of three, like that was so powerful.

Speaker:

And I did that for a long time.

Speaker:

And eventually I started teaching Bible studies myself and helping disciple others.

Speaker:

And so, yeah, the importance of community and being connected to other believers is, I mean, it cannot be overstated, so to say.

Speaker:

What's in the future, the immediate future?

Speaker:

What are you seeing now that you've gone through what I would imagine is level one?

Speaker:

Yeah.

Speaker:

What are you seeing next up?

Speaker:

Um, what I'm seeing next is, as you already mentioned, I am a coach and I coach others and work with other people.

Speaker:

So what's next is really seeing that I'm a full time coach is, yeah, working together with other people and coaching them, guiding them through their mental health and emotional health challenges.

Speaker:

And, yeah, seeing the freedom that I've experienced not only in my own life, but also in the lives of others and, yeah, guiding them through the, yeah, at times challenges and difficulties that come with being a Christian.

Speaker:

Do you see Pastor William in the future?

Speaker:

Um, you mean my name?

Speaker:

Yeah.

Speaker:

Do you see yourself becoming a pastor in the future?

Speaker:

Oh, a pastor.

Speaker:

I mean, absolutely.

Speaker:

I've already led home groups and been very involved in ministry for years.

Speaker:

And it was actually during those times where I minister to others that I started kind of burning out and getting a little exhausted at times too.

Speaker:

Um, and, and that wasn't just because I was doing a lot or because, um, I wasn't relying on God, so to say, but it was more so because I had mental health challenges and relationship difficulties that I didn't even know I had at that time.

Speaker:

Like I didn't even realize that, man, I'm, I got some OCD here.

Speaker:

I got some depression going on.

Speaker:

And so I was kind of ashamed too.

Speaker:

And now my mission and goal and heart's desire is to help other believers who find themselves in that same place.

Speaker:

And so I've been involved in pastoring and helping other people to some extent.

Speaker:

And I see myself doing that for the rest of my life.

Speaker:

Now, whether I'm going to stand on a stage in a church building and lead a congregation or whether I stick with my online presence and continue working with people in smaller settings, uh, through my coaching, I don't know.

Speaker:

We'll see.

Speaker:

So if I do the calculations, you're just about 23 or 24 right now.

Speaker:

Yeah.

Speaker:

Is that correct?

Speaker:

Okay.

Speaker:

24 exactly.

Speaker:

Okay.

Speaker:

So that's from the 2019 and that number year and then seven years later.

Speaker:

So, all right.

Speaker:

So when you said you were 16, right?

Speaker:

So if five years from today, you're 29.

Speaker:

Yeah.

Speaker:

You're listening to this conversation.

Speaker:

What's a message you'd leave for future you?

Speaker:

My message for my future you would be Vincent.

Speaker:

I'm incredibly proud of you.

Speaker:

Keep going.

Speaker:

You have already gone through so much and now you're really helping others and helping others live through, yeah, just, uh, experience freedom and peace that is so, so important to have.

Speaker:

And, um, I'm just really like, keep going and, um, keep telling people about sonship.

Speaker:

Keep telling people about what it means to live as a loved son of God and not as a performer or a slave.

Speaker:

It's been an honor speaking with you, my friend.

Speaker:

In closing, is there anything else you'd like to share?

Speaker:

It's also been my pleasure to talk with you.

Speaker:

And, uh, yeah, I mean, what I can say is that, Hey, if you need help specifically, like the listener and not like, if you need help, um, with any of the things that we've talked about today, or if you feel like this resonated with you, you can find me personally on my YouTube channel, as you mentioned before, um, at the Vincent William or check out my website for more resources, for more help.

Speaker:

And, um, yeah, I'm always available for, for, um, for this work.

Speaker:

Vincent William.

Speaker:

This has been a pleasure that I treasure.

Speaker:

Thank you for being on what is inspired by 12 minute convos.
