Ideas are a valuable resource that can determine your fate, whether it’s your career or how comfortable you are on your couch. While we can utilize some of the creativity building blocks, there are specific techniques to generate more ideas in less time. Generating ideas out of thin air is difficult, so it always helps to have methods to organize the fog that is your brain.
First, shoot for a hundred ideas. This sounds like madness, but there is a method to the madness. Often, ideas are difficult because we are stuck along one line of thought. You’re in your box. Trying for one hundred forces you to think differently and abandon lines of thought. It pushes you into a zone of absurdity and “why not?” and that’s more or less where thinking outside the box begins.
