Paul Romanuk covered the World Juniors from 1990 to 2001 and there's a pretty good argument to be made that this is the decade where the tournament went from quaint holiday tradition to multi-media behemoth that we now know. And no one had a better seat for it than Paul. We discuss how TSN became such an integral part of the event, the early days of broadcasting it back to Canada, the growth of the Hockey Canada Program Of Excellence coinciding with the takeoff of the broadcasts, which European cities have done the best job hosting, what we may have lost by moving the games out of junior hockey hotbeds in Canada and in to big markets, the crazy story of the TSN crew's encounter with the "Crazy Snake Lady" and tons more.

Paul was as instrumental as anyone in helping cement the World Juniors as a holiday tradition in Canada and it was great to pick his brain once more.
