Shownotes

“Parenting happens one day at a time. But those days are connected.”

This week’s episode is a little different. With the unexpected early arrival of a new granddaughter, Lori pauses the Habits of the Heart series to share a personal update on Legacy Parenting—and reflect on why the long view of biblical parenting matters so much.

Lori revisits the four biblical principles that shape Legacy Parenting, shares what God has been clarifying about the discipleship of parents as well as children, and explains why Legacy Parenting made the countercultural decision to leave social media. She also shares the encouraging growth that has followed through the podcast and newsletter, along with new resources and an upcoming discipleship project rooted in Deuteronomy 6 and 7.

With three new grandchildren joining the family in six months, Lori also reflects on what she sees differently now after raising four sons—and why the ordinary work of parenting carries more weight than we often realize.

In this episode:

  • Why biblical parenting must begin with Scripture
  • What leaving social media clarified about conviction and priorities
  • What’s new at Legacy Parenting
  • Why family discipleship belongs in everyday life
  • What three new grandchildren are teaching Lori about legacy
  • Why faithful parenting often bears fruit we may not see for years
