Shownotes

It can take tremendous courage to back out of a decision that everyone around you was so proud you made; and when that means switching from attending law school to serving coffee from a Kombi, that’s when pure stubborn determination kicks in to prove the naysayers wrong…

Emma is the owner of Lucid Kombi Cafe and Lucid Coffee Bar. She started her business journey at age 18 with a priority to align her values of community and creativity to her work. She realised just in the nick of time that her decision to start law school was something she felt she OUGHT to do, rather than something she really WANTED to do; and so set about on a completely different path.

Establishing her company 'Lucid' has led her to find and welcome all the beautiful alternative, eclectic people in the rural city of Wagga Wagga and surrounds, offering them an inclusive space to call a home away from home. Now with a few years of experience as a young entrepreneur, Emma is beginning to share her knowledge with other young folks as a mentor to support them in finding their own paths of work that align with their unique passions.  She shares her story in this week’s episode of Real-Life Business.
