Shownotes

Transcribing your podcast is the process of turning the audio of your episode into text so there’s a readable version on your website...a podcast transcript.

If you’re thinking “isn’t podcasting about getting your show into people’s ears, not their eyes?” you’re right. But there are a few reasons why taking some extra time to transcribe your podcast is a good idea.

In this episode, I explain the benefits of having a podcast transcript on your website and also where you can get it done.

About me...

My name is Rachel Corbett and I’ve worked professionally for over two decades in radio and podcasting.

I’ve worked in front of the mic hosting radio shows for some of the biggest networks in Australia and I’ve been at the helm of over ten podcasts including Google Australia’s first podcast, Rethink.

I’ve also worked behind the scenes as Head of Podcasts for two major audio networks - Mamamia and Nova Entertainment where I’ve overseen the development and production of over 50 shows. And I have my own online podcasting course, PodSchool.

So if you're looking for someone who knows what they're talking about when it comes to podcasting, you've come to the right place.
