When we hear that it would be hard for us to be replaced, oftentimes we take it as a compliment. Yes it feels good to know that we are able to contribute, but have you ever paused to think about whether or not you are so indispensable that your management won’t give you up? Or that you are viewed as someone different in your role, and are unable to get the raise and/or promotion you deserve because it would take more than one person to replace you?
