The Footprints You Leave – Daily Wisdom

Welcome to Wisdom-Trek with Gramps. We are on Day 1777 of our trek, and it’s time to explore another nugget of wisdom, which includes an inspirational quote along with some wise words from Gramps for today’s trek. Wisdom is the final frontier in gaining true knowledge. We are on a daily trek to create a legacy of wisdom, seek out discernment and insights, and boldly grow where few have chosen to grow before. Hello, my friend; this is Gramps. Thanks for coming along on today’s trek as we increase Wisdom and Create a Living Legacy. Proverbs 16:16 says, "How much better to get wisdom than gold, and sound judgment than silver!" If you apply the words you hear today, over time, it will help you become more healthy, wealthy, and wise as you continue your daily trek of life. So let’s jump right in with today’s nugget. Today’s quote is from Margaret Lee Runbeck, and it is, “A person leaves all kinds of footprints when they walk through life. Some you can see...others are invisible, like the prints they leave across other people’s lives.”

The Footprints You Leave

This quote is impactful and accurate. We all leave footprints in life, both literally but more critically, figuratively. Your impact on the lives of other people cannot be taken for granted, nor can it be minimized. That impact echoes throughout all of eternity, from generation to generation. It is your only true legacy on others. That is so much more important than any material resources that you may leave for others. We must be aware of our daily treading on the lives of others. Make sure that the imprints that we are leaving on those lives are positive and encouraging. As you walk through life, walk humbly and circumspectly. Be aware of the tremendous responsibility towards others, especially those closest to you, such as friends and family members. How you walk will many times determine how others walk. Just like a child attempting to walk in his parent's footsteps, you impact others who walk into and out of your life. Ephesians 5:15-20 So be careful how you live. Don’t live like fools, but like those who are wise. Make the most of every opportunity in these evil days. Don’t act thoughtlessly, but understand what the Lord wants you to do. Don’t be drunk with wine, because that will ruin your life. Instead, be filled with the Holy Spirit, singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs among yourselves, and making music to the Lord in your hearts. And give thanks for everything to God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. As you ponder this nugget of wisdom for yourself, please encourage your friends and family to join us and then come along tomorrow for another day of our Wisdom-Trek, Creating a Legacy.
