Shownotes

A really honest account of what it's like living and competing in a bubble for a month.

GB's top ranked mixed doubles pair of Marcus Ellis and Lauren Smith talk about their time in Bangkok. And lessons they've learnt from their experience. And lessons we might all benefit from too.

Marcus says he found it very hard to focus on his badminton and maintain his hunger after being forced to stay in his room for up to 23 hours a day. He appreciates they were privileged to travel and play - but learn a lot about how he needs to adjust to the new way of competing during Covid times.

Lauren describes how she had to battle with motivation and a different sort of fatigue and. how planning and more structure and routine will help them in the future.

I'm making these podcasts to raise money for Maggie's Cancer Centres.
