Shownotes

In the second episode of the Aging Patient: Dispelling Myths podcast series, host Gareth Tucker discusses with experts Prof Alessandra Tucci and Prof Sergio Storti the definition and importance of patient assessment (including frailty, comorbidity, and polypharmacy), in older adults with hematological conditions and how it can be used to determine the overall ‘fitness’ of a patient. They also discuss the critical role of interactions between HCPs, patients, and their entourage in the assessment.

You will listen to clinical examples showing how a complete geriatric assessment can help direct treatment for older patients with specific hematological malignancies and how a benefit can be obtained from more effective, novel treatments.

Host: Gareth Tucker; Guest: Prof Alessandra Tucci, Prof Sergio Storti
