Let's chat about self-worth issues!

In today's episode I will be diving a little deeper into the thoughts of self doubt that cripple us/ hold us back from living a life in fulfillment.

Why do these thoughts or strong believes come up ?

I want to talk more about this in the future because all to often we think people who live a happy and content life don't face these kind of fears..

what are people gonna think?

why do I think I can do this?

no one is supporting me ?

I don't have enough money ?

I know the competition is too big ?

I talk often about other people and their limiting believes and how to protect yourself from energy suckers and problem anticipators but today I want to talk about your and mine inner demons that hold us back.

I'm here to create a safe place for you

I'm here to empower you

with love

A.

Unknown:

Hello, hello, and welcome to the Borealis

Unknown:

experience. I'm your host Aurora, and I'm very happy to be

Unknown:

spending some time with you today.

Unknown:

It is Saturday, July 31.

Unknown:

So crazy how fast this year is just passing by.

Unknown:

I only started on January 5 of this year

Unknown:

to podcast. And today I want to talk about not only self doubt,

Unknown:

but the stories that we tell ourselves when we start a new

Unknown:

project, when we make changes in life. And those thoughts

Unknown:

keep creeping up on us self doubt, and

Unknown:

stories from the past stories from the present, just stories

Unknown:

that our mind likes to engage in. And it's usually not a good

Unknown:

outcome story, it is a story that will make you want to quit

Unknown:

or

Unknown:

not engage as much as you could.

Unknown:

It is really interesting to watch people who are successful

Unknown:

already and to see them how they perform, how they get better

Unknown:

with

Unknown:

every new project that they pump out. And you just think they are

Unknown:

totally invincible. You think that they never have self

Unknown:

doubts. They never fear, self criticism, or they never fear

Unknown:

being rejected. But quite the opposite is the case. In my

Unknown:

case, for instance, I'm trying something new, something that

Unknown:

nobody ever has done in my family. And I'm being faced with

Unknown:

not so much criticism, but

Unknown:

maybe I would describe it as avoidance.

Unknown:

And it's very uncomfortable when you live under one roof. And you

Unknown:

know that people are not on a percent supportive of what you

Unknown:

believe in. So in my case, my story is I don't receive the

Unknown:

support from my family. I'm not doing what they want me to do.

Unknown:

And this is why I cannot give 100% I feel drained, I don't

Unknown:

feel creative. I feel I'm swimming against a stream. And

Unknown:

I'm not supporting my family the way they would like me to

Unknown:

support them.

Unknown:

With my little project here, I'm very busy in front of my

Unknown:

computer, oftentimes I schedule interviews, if not on a daily,

Unknown:

I'm interacting a lot with other people and my family just simply

Unknown:

feels neglected because they see no point in what I'm doing. And

Unknown:

this is just my perspective. This is just how I feel and how

Unknown:

I see the situation. And if you were to ask them, if another

Unknown:

person would ask, Oh, what is Aurora doing and they would say,

Unknown:

Oh, she's podcasting. They would actually show pride and be

Unknown:

happy, you know, but the vibe that I receive is not positive.

Unknown:

Now I can go and take this as an excuse to not move on to not

Unknown:

show up. But it's really tough thing to do. And I'm sharing

Unknown:

this with you today, I'm trying to be as vulnerable as possible

Unknown:

with you today, to encourage you and to let you know that once

Unknown:

you start something new, it will feel great. You will feel

Unknown:

precious and excited and doorway doors will be opening for you.

Unknown:

But at the same time. On the other side of the coin, there

Unknown:

will be self doubt there will be resistance they will be fear.

Unknown:

And I want you to understand that this is totally normal. And

Unknown:

I'm not some VIP out there. You know, I'm just a regular girl

Unknown:

who started podcasting a couple months ago. And

Unknown:

I'm not special in any way

Unknown:

to say that you can do the exact same thing. You can go out there

Unknown:

tonight.

Unknown:

it tomorrow and start a complete new era of your life. And when

Unknown:

you're going to be faced with self doubt, criticism and people

Unknown:

rejecting you, people avoiding you,

Unknown:

people questioning, you just know that you got to push

Unknown:

through this, and maybe even reach out to people who have

Unknown:

done it before, and who can relate to how you feel and

Unknown:

motivate you. But what I want to say today is that you can

Unknown:

motivate yourself as well, you can learn to push through fear,

Unknown:

you can learn to see that your mission is so much more

Unknown:

important than what one person in your life or two might think

Unknown:

about you. And is that a valid reason to not go out there and

Unknown:

to shine brightly and to share your mission.

Unknown:

I reached out

Unknown:

to a coach, a business coach, life coach. And I'm very excited

Unknown:

to be working with him in the future, because I know he's

Unknown:

going to open up possibilities, he's going to make me see my

Unknown:

weaknesses. And he's going to make me see my strength. And

Unknown:

I will be able to communicate what I'm struggling most with.

Unknown:

So this is another thing that I want to encourage you to do is

Unknown:

that if you feel stuck in life, if you don't feel good about

Unknown:

your situation,

Unknown:

don't stay alone with it. And know that there's so many people

Unknown:

out there, especially now with Facebook, who have the tools to

Unknown:

help you, we have the tools to empower you, to make you feel

Unknown:

less stuck to make you feel less lonely with your situation. And

Unknown:

really, with so many people on this planet, I don't believe

Unknown:

that you have a problem that cannot be solved with another

Unknown:

person together, you might be able to solve it by yourself.

Unknown:

But is it worth all that energy and pain, if you could just

Unknown:

share it with somebody that is

Unknown:

professional in what you are struggling with. And this is the

Unknown:

third thing I want to talk about. So often we think that

Unknown:

our problems are not possible to be solved.

Unknown:

And then we have to realize we have to go into Burt's

Unknown:

perspective, like I love to do it so often. And to see that

Unknown:

right now. And your situation you feel cornered you fishery

Unknown:

about yourself.

Unknown:

You feel afraid, fear driven.

Unknown:

But you only see the situation from one angle.

Unknown:

Imagine a cheesecake, and you're cutting out a little piece of

Unknown:

cheesecake. And this is your angle. Some people have a bigger

Unknown:

angle on life, some bigger, some smaller.

Unknown:

But still, it's not the 360 it's not the whole cake.

Unknown:

And the problem that you might have, might be a piece of cheese

Unknown:

cake for other people to solve, because they look at your

Unknown:

problem from another angle.

Unknown:

And once you open up to them,

Unknown:

they will invite you into their perspective and you will be open

Unknown:

to see through their eyes and see your problem that needs to

Unknown:

be solved from a different angle. And this also can change

Unknown:

you 180 degrees

Unknown:

you will be able to feel less burden feel less lost and

Unknown:

confused

Unknown:

and less alone. And for the future. You will remember this

Unknown:

and for the next time you face a problem you will remember oh

Unknown:

shit when I speak to other people. When I talk to a

Unknown:

professional to a mentor. I will be able to undock myself and dig

Unknown:

myself.

Unknown:

My English is not getting better with time and I know you're

Unknown:

forgiving. I know. You care about what I share here.

Unknown:

and don't really judge me and my English

Unknown:

this is the first episode of season number five, the Borealis

Unknown:

experience. I'm very, very grateful to have you on board.

Unknown:

I'm so happy about every new subscriber. I'm incredibly

Unknown:

excited about reviews on Apple podcast, you have to understand

Unknown:

that receiving a review on Apple podcast is like a currency for

Unknown:

podcasters. The more reviews you have, of course positive ones.

Unknown:

The more listeners you attract, the better you can compete with

Unknown:

other people out there.

Unknown:

So if you feel like taking a minute and writing out what you

Unknown:

think and feel about my podcast here, please don't hold back

Unknown:

because it would help me tremendously.

Unknown:

If you need more support, if you have an episode request. Don't

Unknown:

hesitate to message me on Facebook. Aurora Eggert is my

Unknown:

name there are on Instagram, the Borealis experience, and they're

Unknown:

to support you and they're to help you recharge your

Unknown:

batteries, for you to be more resilient to stress in the

Unknown:

future. And for you to reconnect with yourself and to make better

Unknown:

decisions in the future. The better you know yourself, the

Unknown:

better decisions you're going to make for yourself. And this in

Unknown:

turn, is going to affect your family, your friends, the people

Unknown:

around you and society as a whole.

Unknown:

Thank you so much for being here. I appreciate you deeply.

Unknown:

You are a person with a growth mindset. If you've accompanied

Unknown:

me so far, and I have so much respect for you because it takes

Unknown:

a specific kind of person with strong character to be willing

Unknown:

to live, aware and mindfully.

Unknown:

I will be out there very soon again, and sending my love

Unknown:

Thank you
