Josh shares the good, the bad, and the ugly of founding the Australian Podcasters Group on Facebook.

  • Communities take a very long to grow.
  • Some users just don’t care what your group's culture and goals are.
  • Companies that service your space can be both amazing and not-so amazing in Facebook groups.
  • Your groups rules are almost certainly too lax, and spammer friendly.
  • You will need to prod and poke new users to read the group rules, and you will need to remind current users when they forget about them.
  • The health of your group is a daily task.
  • The person you need to admin your group when it hits 100, 500, 1000+ users might not be you.
